1ST ANNUAL SIBAM COMICS GIVEAWAY!
Hi, gang. Marc Mason, writer of the “Should It Be A Movie?” comics and graphic novel review column, talking at ya. I’m holding my first ever massive comics giveaway this year, and you’re gonna love it!
It’s my privilege to read so many great comics every week and bring them to your attention. But where I run into problems is in finding space for all of them. Now, I could sell them on E-Bay, or trade them to a comics shop, but instead, as a thank you to my great readers out there, I’m going to send a bunch of them to one of you. And that ain’t whistling Dixie!
We’re talking a lot of books. Over forty of them, in fact; books that would run you well over $200 to buy in a store. Great stuff from Image, Fantagraphics, Top Shelf, Devil’s Due, and more. Plus great indies you’ve read about in my column like STYX TAXI and VIDEO. And a special bonus: a kick-ass prize package from HARRY JOHNSON publisher Fulp Fiction and maybe even more surprises from other publishers.
What do you have to do to get your hands on this wonderful holiday treat? Send me an e-mail at marc @ marcmason.com with the words “CONTEST ENTRY” in the subject line and tell me why you want the books. The best/most clever respondent gets the stuff. I’ll pick a winner on December 15th, print your response in the Mail Shoot, and send your books Parcel Post the next day, meaning you should have them by Christmas. The contest is, unfortunately, open only to folks who live in the continental United States. The winner will be picked solely by me and whatever arbitrary mood I’m in on the 15th. Sound good? Great. Good luck to you all!
