Default R.I.P. GEORGE WOODBRIDGE

This guy was a cartoonist for Mad MAgazine. His artistry was a form of hillarity mixed with great detail. Some of you could give a poop, but im one of those people that reads mad like Crazy. Incase your wondering, he didnt draw SpyVSspy. But he drew stuff......

George Woodbridge? What sorts of things did he do for Mad? I read those all the time when I was a kid, and I know of Jack Davis, Mort Drucker, Al Jaffe, Angelo Torres, Antonio Prohias, Don Martin, Sergio Aragones, Dave Berg...but I can't place Woodbridge's name. Bummer.

It's funny that you said you "used to read Mad like Crazy." Because there used to be a total Mad rip-off called Crazy. It was even worse than Cracked.

Woodbridge was an illustrator for Mad. If there were a lot of details in a sketch, it was probably Woodbridge. He was with MAD since 1950, and is well known for "43 Man Squammish", "The Hymn of the Battered Rebublic"et. al.
