What about the alleged movie ISHTAR?
Or, the only movie I've EVER walked out on in the theater- CAR 54 WHERE ARE YOU? |

Nah... ISHTAR isn't half as bad as people make it out to be, and I could probably find at least a dozen comedies worse than it. That is not to say that the movie is good, but it has some great lines.

Bio-Dome was pretty bad but it had Joey Lauren Adams so Tank Girl gets my vote.
Forrest Gump was not good either. It's the only movie that I read the book first and hated it so bad that I actually liked the movie a bit more. |

I got a movie with Tim Conway, Dorf Goes Fishing, about 5 years ago, for Christmas. It was so gay, I tried laughing, but I couldn't manage even a grin. It was one of those that just makes you sad. So Dorf gets my vote. |

sadly, I liked most of the movies that you listed. I don't know what I'd say for the worst though, there is way too many to choose from

Forrest Gump was great. I don't think it's supposed to be so historically accurate. And nope, Forrest didn't really moon LBJ. It's more along the lines of social commentary, in my opinion. But I don't really know why we're discussing Forrest in the "worst comedy ever" thread, since Forrest wasn't a comedy. Maybe it's me...

You are right Forrest Gump was not a comedy. But it was sickeningly contrived tripe. Standard example of the generic western idea of the simple hero who's good intentions overcome his complete lack of intelligence. Ever ask yourself why comic book villains are the mastermind evil geniuses and the heroes are simple people with extraordinary powers? Sure the message that "It's okay to be stupid as long as your heart is in the right place" is very uplifting but frankly I'm sick of being told that being an idiot makes you more lovable. As for the social commentary it is better than most of the films that came out in 1994. Of course 1994 saw such fabulous movies as The Flintstones, Speed, The Mask and The Santa Claus gaining top 10 box office numbers so that's not saying much. Let's face it, you love it because it was the only tolerable big budget movie that came out that year that didn't feature a singing lion.

Pretty much any movie with David Spade and Chris Farley.
Any movie where Rob Schnieder gets turned into something or someone else. Wait, isn't that just about all of them these days? |

The only reason I didn't say The Animal is because it has John C. McGinley in it.

Dang I didn't know John C. McGinley was in it. I might actually see it now. That guy is versatile and always delivers. One of my favorite characters from Platoon.
As for Schneider his best role in any movie was the 'you can do it' guy in Waterboy. |

I have been over this time and time again. GOING OVERBOARD with Adam Sandler is the worst movie ever. It was intended to be a comedy, so it is the worst comedy ever!

Nothing But Trouble (1991). If Dan Ackroyd ever tries to direct again, he should be taken out and shot.
