Journey\'s Greatest Hits is....crap?

In addition to that little revelation about Journey, David Thomas keeps us apprised of the newest BitTorrent digital audio technology in this week's Perfect Pitch column. Cool. See, one reason I read the 'shoot is so I can pretend I'm on the cutting edge of new stuff like that.

Glad to see you back and thanks for a good article David. I'm still keeping my Journey albums though.

Journey's Greatest Hits will always remind me of three things:

1. The very first vinyl I ever bought way back when (for "Don't Stop Believin'). Well, it was Journey "Escape" I bought when I was a little kid, but a few of those songs are on here.

2. The first time I slow-danced with a girl, to "Who's Crying Now" (I told her that was just my keys in my pocket).

3. Drinking beers at Lake Havasu. For those reasons alone, I can't go along with calling that disc "crap."

Okay, I will have to say that I do not agree with what was said about Journey's Greatest Hits. I like that album. It is a classic.

Like Ryall said, it brings back memories.

Now, if he would have said Barry Manilow's Greatest Hits, I would've agreed with him.

Same here. Journey is a guilty pleasure of mine, and whoever doesn't like it takes their music too seriously.

In David's defence, I think he just meant that the album is generally relegated to the bargain bin at your local record shop. This is probably because everybody who is going to own it already does.

I don't know. I kind of got the impression he doesn't like the album.

I happen to love Journey.
Steve Perry might be constantly made fun of, but he is one of the few male singers that can actually sing.
As for the album, I own it, and love it.
