If they are going to WASTE money on a sequel of a movie why not actually make it one that people will WASTE their money to go see. That movie would not make enough money to cover everyone's lunch tab on the set for a week.

Hey they should make a Dmoney2 who is like completely good and the opposite of you, and since we like to see a hero fail, he can kill you whilst dying on the process that would make a kickass reality.

I'm with "dmoney" about Spawn 2! I'd skip school to see that! ( On second thought, I would skip school for anything!)

Sorry to break a solid streak of nonsensical responses, but in fact, they are.
The new Spawn movie's script is drasticaly different, not really a sequal to the last movie in any respect. It revolves mainly around the lives of Sam and Twitch as they get wrapped up with a living urban legend, sort of a film noir with the odd werewolf, dead soldier, and zombified child molester.
It's currently locked in script purgatory with a billion other comic characters and a thousand "Superman Lives" revisions.

First Spawn was the biggest dissapontment ever! The cartoon that was on HBO was much better and more like the comic.

Yeah and Todd McFarlane and Steve Niles wrote it together. I heard Frank Miller had a part in it too. McFarlane said he wants it to feel more like Se7en, which kind of makes me drool. In a good way. The only thing about it will be that Spawn won't be a prominant character [which is part of the reason it's in purgatory. We said Spawn is in purgatory - hah!], but instead be like a ghost Sam and Twitch are chasing. My biggest smile comes from.......McFarlane saying he's shooting for "a hard R."

Yea, the movie was crap, but the HBO series was amazing, I had never even touched the comics before whatching and it got me to buy about 35 issues (80-115 or so).
Does anyone know what happend to the final season of the HBO series? It ended on a cliffhanger and the last season was never put out, I heard talk of an airing on the sci-fi channel and a direct or eventual DVD release, but I never saw anything materialize.
But yea, I can't wait for the "R" rated Spawn flick. It'll be aweseome, especially if they can actually get Se7en's Dave Fincher to direct. The only criticism I can have of that man is occasional poor scipt selection (*cough* Panic Room *cough*), but with Todd keeping watch, this one should be a winner.

Hey, come on now. For a guy who directed the video to "Forever Your Girl" by Paula Abdul......Panic Room is the shiznit!
No idea what happened to the final season of the Spawn anim. Sadly, there's a lot of that series I haven't seen.
