This kinda sucks, he was a great entertainer whether he did do the horrible things most suspect he did or not. There's gonna be a lot more bullshit about all this in the next few days/weeks plus you just know there's gonna be a ton of Elvis-style sightings of him for years.
Edit: I'm listening to Uri Geller on FOX news hinting at MJ taking drugs and shit, obviously lookin for a little airtime. Yes he probably took drugs, he was in showbusiness and needed a tremendous amount of energy to do what he did so yeah i'm guessin he maybe had a little enhancement. It has very little to do with race bias and more to do with the media culture. If we had dissemination of information the same way in the 1960s and 1970s that we have now...it would most likely be a different story.
Case in point: Presidents Kennedy and Clinton. Pretty much the same situation, different media environments.

Clinton's approval ratings increased throughout the Lewinsky scandal.
And impeachment procedings were never initiated against Kennedy. The man was held up as a symbol of America and still is to this day even though he was voraciously unfaithful to his wife. Clinton is a walking punchline. Both democrats...both white...and the situations were handled completely differently. Kennedy's infidelity was a guarded secret. If you don't think the press knew all about it...well...then you're naive.

Kennedy was never put on the stand and subsequently perjured himself about cheating on his wife, so of course they weren't.
still is to this day even though he was voraciously unfaithful to his wife
Exactly, even though him putting the wood to Monroe and everyone else is a widely known fact now, and is a part of popular culture. Granted society tends to look more lightly on adultery as half of married people do it, as opposed to statutory rape, which Elvis committed and Jackson may well have committed.

Yeah. Elvis fucked and lived with a 14 year old. And he is a symbol of White America.
Elvis met Priscilla when she was 14, yes (1959.) Elvis refused to have sex with until they were married, which was after 8 years of courtship. And she was 18 when they moved in together.
Now, The Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis- he did sleep with a 13 year old, who was also his second cousin.

That's her account of it.
Her biographer gave a different one, which was that she rode the Memphis Pony on their second date.
Either way, even if he was accused of it and it can't be proven, he's on the same plane as Jackson was.
Still, the fact that there are people (sadly who I'm friends with) that are happy about his death is just revolting to me.

Whatever whatever, that lawsuit had nothing to do with having sex with Elvis, it was about that guy claiming that she offered, and gave, HIM sex to introduce her to Elvis.
She did not sue over the claims made by other people in the book that they slept together right after meeting. Which is why the author stands by the rest of the book, because there were no other claims brought against the statements all the other people made.
Just drop it. I don't want to get in a pissing match.

She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
She said I am the one, who will dance on the floor in the round
She told me her name was Billie Jean, as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round
People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
And mother always told me be careful of who you love
And be careful of what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
For forty days and for forty nights
The law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand
Her schemes and plans
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice, just remember to always think twice
(Do think twice)
She told my baby we'd danced till three, then she looked at me
Then showed a photo my baby cried his eyes were like mine (oh, no!)
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round, baby
People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts
She came and stood right by me
Then the smell of sweet perfume
This happened much too soon
She called me to her room
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son
Billie Jean is not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son

For me, it's not really a night for straight whiskey. I have to be up somewhat early and I'm just not in the mood.
And too, when I drink it neat, I have to have a cigar, and I kind of let the humidor go lately... :o
Beside, I usually only splash some DP in there for color ;)

One day I put a few Michael Jackson albums on my iPod, intending to listen to the man for the first time ever. That very day, I had a conversation with my friends about him and his music for the first time ever. Later that day, he died.
I think my attentions killed Michael Jackson. There I said it.

I took a long walk around the river tonight and listened to Thriller, it was a sad yet affirming moment. I could only wish to make the mark the Michael has left on us all.
MTV is playing Michael's videos all night for those that wish to pay some tribute with me.
R.I.P. Michael Jackson, just as troubled as he was talented. May he live on in our hearts, minds and ears.

For shame, Doc. This is not about him. For some reason he is still alive but the skinny guy is gone.

Apparently he has died. Damn. :(
MJ? A heart attack?! I didn’t see that coming. What a tragic loss. He was arguably the best there ever was at his game. He showed us what was possible with hard work and dedication and inspired countless others to follow in his considerable footsteps. He will be sorely missed. But I’ll always remember him fondly - taking flight from the free throw line, tongue laid out proudly like the figurehead of an ancient sailing vessel, preparing once again to force-feed the opponents hoop another bitter pill. Good game, MJ, good game.

Less than 24 hours after he died and I have already gotten 3 texts that have been jokes about poor old MJ. Even in death he is the butt of jokes.

If they say "Why? Why?" tell them that it's human nature.

The first cassette I bought was Off The Wall, the first cd I bought was Bad (the single) for 99 pence. I bought it the day it came out and saved £1 on it. When I was 11 I won a dancing competition at a reputable English Holiday Camp, doing all the moves to Moonwalker but omitting the leany over bit as I had fallen flat on my face hundreds of times.
And there you have it, my childhood hero whose music and moves still inspire me gave me brain damage through repetitive blows to the head.
RIP Michael Jackson you Glorious Tragic Enigmatic bar steward!!!

Aaron, Phitzy, Ballsmonkey - Good stuff. Way to run with the ball. You know, I almost feel bad. You guys were trying to be all reverent and serious, but it seems you were tempted by my evil lyric/word play.

I guess that means that this motivational poster is now irrelevant as little boys no longer need to learn the difference.
