After a failed attempt last time, I think this time it'll work.
So yeah, the game is just like Six Degrees from Kevin Bacon. Pick a celebrity and see if you can link them to our own Ken Plume within sex degrees or less.
Here are the rules...
Limited to only six degrees or less
No dead celebrities
There has to have been some form of real professional interaction between each person(the interviews done on here count)
Example: Jason Mewes. 2 degrees.
Jason Mewes is a close friend of Kevin Smith, whose website Quickstop Entertainment is run by Ken Plume.
So let's get started. First celeb: Stephen Colbert. Go!
*thanks to phitzy and Barclay for pointing out my ignorance and helping me put this together right*

Stephen Colbert used to be a correspondent on The Daily Show.
Jon Hodgman is the "resident expert" on The Daily Show.
A Bit of a Chat with Ken Plume and John Hodgman.
Did I do that right?

Stephen Colbert was in Curb your Enthusiasm with David Schwimmer
Schwimmer was in Friends with Brad Pitt
Brad Pitt was in the 'I'm fucking Ben Affleck' video with Ben Affleck.
Affleck was in Chasing Amy with Kevin Smith
Smith employs Ken Plume.
[EDIT] Oh. Too late.

Josh Brolin starred in W. with Elizabeth Banks who starred in the ill-fated Zack and Miri make a porno directed by Kevin Smith who employs Ken Plume

This seems more like a game of 5 degrees to Kevin Smith

The Kevin Bacon game kind of ends up the same way...it ends up being a "5 Degrees to Anyone that was in A Few Good Men".
It'll shift once folks start picking people they are able to connect to someone Plume has interviewed. I don't know how many people are THAT well versed in his interview cannon though.

Okay....Billy West.

Okay....Billy West.
West was in TMNT with Patrick Stewart, Stewart was in Extras with Ricky Gervais, Plume has interviewed Gervais. BOOM!

I think that connection pattern really sticks with the intent of the game...good show!
*Edit*
There...the final rule...the last connection must be a person that Ken has either interviewed...or worked with on a creative venture (other than Kevin Smith). That should make it a little trickier...and most likely eliminate me from the game entirely. (The K. Smith connection was my crutch. :D )
TheHangingBrain

Robert Z'Dar starred in Maniac Cop with Bruce Campbell. Ken did a 10 Questions interview with Bruce on IGN. BoooooYaaaah!

Just kidding, nice touch. The Smith connection was getting annoying.

George De La Pena was in The Dust Factory with Hayden Panitierre, who's in Heroes with Masi Oka, who was in an episode of Reno 911 with Carlos Alazraqui, who was in The Fairly Oddparents with Tara Strong, who's in Chowder with Dana Snyder, who's the friend and co-host of Snydecast with Ken Plume.

Next celeb: John Cho.
BOP TILL U DROP
06-16-2010, 03:57 AM
I missed this thread the first time....thanks lurker!
John Cho did an episode of Kim Possible with Patrick Warburton, who does the voice for Brock Sampson on Venture Brothers, which also stars James Urbaniak. James Urbaniak was featured on A Bit of Chat with Ken Plume!
I'm gonna go a little crazy and say Bill Murray.
McMarcoP

Bill Murray.
Bill Murray gave his voice to a character in "Osmosis Jones" as did Laurence Fishburne, who is in CSI alongside Liz Vassey, whose portrait was painted by Doc Hammer, who was (recently) interviewed by our beloved Mr. Plume.
My character?
Hmm... let's make it tough...
Roger Federer.
cypher
06-16-2010, 12:17 PM
Roger Federer.
Roger Federer won 24 straight finals between October 2003 and September 2005; breaking the record previously held by John McEnroe...
John McEnroe had an extremely short lived talk show on NBC back in 2004 on which David Cross appeared on one episode...
David Cross does the voice of Happy Time Harry on Aqua Teen Hunger Force with Dana Snyder...
Dana Snyder is the co-host of one of the greatest podcasts out there with none other than Fred's own Ken Plume... :D
As for my character, I choose....
Mike Patton...
UncaScroogeMcD
06-16-2010, 02:36 PM
I've interviewed both Patrick Warburton and David Cross...
And going further back in this thread, I've also interviewed Stephen Colbert...
And many many more...

Mike Patton
Ouch.
Mike Patton provided the voice for a character on Metalocalypse.
So did Mark Hamill.
Who appeared on Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back alongside... yes, Kevin Smith.
You know where I am going now.
...OK, no Kevin Smith connections, sorry.
So, voice on Metalocalypse like Malcolm McDowell, who also was in The Passage where he worked with Jim Broadbent, who was in Brazil directed by Terry Gilliam, who was in the Pythons alongside Terry Jones, that Mr. Plume interviewed in the past.
Now - Diego Armando Maradona.
cypher

Diego Armando Maradona.
Damn that's a hard one...
Okay here goes...
Diego Armando Maradona appears as himself in a documentary called The Making of 'Anton' with Daniel Day-Lewis...
Daniel Day-Lewis was in the film Gangs of New York with Stephen Graham...
Stephen Graham was in the film Snatch with Sam Douglas...
Sam Douglas was in the film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People with Simon Pegg...
Simon Pegg was interviewed by Ken Plume...
......
Okay lets see...
...um
How about, Christian Hosoi... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Hosoi)
McMarcoP

How about, Christian Hosoi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Hosoi)
WHO? :D
Would be easy(ish) if it wasn't for the "no-Kevin-Smith" rule due to Jason Lee being a former pro-skater himself.
Instead.
Let's see.
OK, according to his homepage Christian Hosoi appeared in Thrashin' alongside Josh Brolin, who was in No Country for Old Men with Tommy Lee Jones, who did some voice acting in Small Soldiers alongside Ernest Borgnine and David Cross, who were BOTH interviewed by Ken Plume.
Now, try with "Buzz" Aldrin.

Jay Z.... I've got nothing. I'll get it, though. Give me some time.

Up next: Jay-Z*BUMP*
This thread is too good to let it drop.
OK, Jay-Z.
(who the hell is Jay-Z?)
Ah, OK.
OK, Jayzee is married to Beyoncé, who was in "Pink Panther" with Clive Owen, who was in "Derailed" with Jennifer Aniston, who was in "The Edge" with Tom Kenny, who had "A Bit of a Chat" with Ken Plume.
Aw, this was hard.
Now, Evander Holyfield.

Now, Evander Holyfield.Re-bump, because I enjoy it.
Holyfield was in a short scene in "Summer of Sam" with Ben Gazzara and John Turturro.
Gazzara and Turturro were both in "The Big Lebowski" with John Goodman.
Goodman was in "Blues Brothers 2000" with Frank Oz.
Oz was interviewed by Ken Plume.
If anybody wants to play again... Dermot Morgan.

Easy: The late, great Dermot Morgan played Father Ted Crilly in one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, Father Ted. Graham Linehan was the co-creator of that magnificent slice of Irish hilarity, and Ken interviewed Mr. Linehan as part of his A Bit of a Chat... series.
Someone else can pick the next one.
