I wonder why they feel the need to report EVERY aspect of someone's death. The man was in his 70's. Regardless of the method of his death, can't they just let him pass with some dignity?

Yeah it's pretty awful. I remember when Dale Earnhardt died there was a newspaper here trying to publish the photos of his mangled corpse, luckily they got sued into submission. Going over the top with the intimacy of stuff like this is one of the reasons I'm not the least bit sad the American newspaper industry is collapsing like a flan in a cupboard.

In some weird way I respect Carridine even more now. he managed to get all the way this far hiding his demons from the tabliod hungry world. I mean, no way in hell people in hollywood knew this was 'his thang.' In some bizarre sick way this feels like his last act of defiance. "hey, i wasn't that guy; I was this guy......surprise! Yeah!
