The great ship, The Elizabeth Dane, is about to set sail on its maiden voyage this Thursday evening.
As captain I invite any and all to be guests aboard this remarkable event. I'm sure the cruise will pass without... incident. *Que eerie: Cha cha cha cha...*
I have a confirmed guest list already. If your name is not here, but you want to join, please announce yourself in this thread before Thursday evening. (The game itself will also take place in this thread - and the game will be suspended over weekends.)
Cheney, Neon_vomit, Rob101, wanderingquesadila, Alexsad, Sweeeet Adeline, Scottbob, RobinHoodDaffy, Kernal2306 & donkey.

I'm looking for one or two more. I'm planning roles for...
Possibly more than one killer. ;)
One Advisor - whose vote can save another player.
One Kidnapper - whose vote can take a player out of the game for one voting night. (perhaps you disagree with the majority and believe someone being voted out is innocent. Take them out of harms way for a night.) But any vote a player makes on the night they are kidnapped is ignored.
One Resurrector - Oooo - who has the opportunity - just once - to bring a past player back into the game if they choose. (Perhaps if the innocent numbers are dwindling quickly... The twist? The Resurrector has to nominate someone else to pick who to bring back. If they inadvertently pick the killer, they could tactically bring back a weak player.)
So if you want in, or out (or just to shake it all about - no, not *that* By-tor. Put it away) post here. And welcome onboard!

I'll tweet voting reminders, and who is out, etc.
I'm in and just for clarification.. is it a everyother night vote AND no weekends, or is it just no weekends..
I think voting every two nights on the last game lost a little momentum, so voting every night, with no votes Sat or Sun. Game resumes Monday again.
Just forewarning, my postings are going to be at strange hours.
I'm 5/6 hours ahead of you all, and I'll post results when I wake up, so may suit your hours.
Mine will be sporadic this week too. Should be better by next week.
Well if I start the game tomorrow, first vote night Friday, then nothing again (vote wise) until Monday. Just make sure you're not eliminated from the game Friday!

There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

The game begins...!
A by-the-book sail to Spivey Point and back was all it was meant to be. The Elizabeth Dane set out with a full complementary of guests. The sea was calm, the weather sunny and breezy. It was a fine start to a joyous maiden voyage. The care free atmosphere carried on to the dinner that first evening. Everyone attended. Guests laughed and a merry time was had by all. And as the evening turned to night, guests splintered off into groups to pass away the night elsewhere. A successful day in every respect.
But as the Dane entered the waters known as Spivey Point, evil struck!
Captain Bay steered a steady course alone on the bridge when his life was taken from him!
These are the facts determined the following morning:
The door to the bridge seems to have been locked from the inside. The door was unforced. The Captain could have known, and let in, his killer.
A trail of blood leads from the bridge to the front of the ship, where the body was possibly dragged. The killer clearly made no effort to hide their actions. Is this care free style a direct sign of their intentions towards the remainder of the guests?
Several Fire Axes are missing from four separate floors.
Lastly in the blood trails there 'seems' to be conflicting footprints... many footprints... more than one killer? Several? Without a doubt those shoes in question have been ditched. Who knows what guests bought on board in their luggage bags.
So a madman (or madmen) is afoot! The captain is gone, the ship adrift, and a strange fog has encompassed the Dane...
Cheney, Neon_vomit, Rob101, wanderingquesadila, Alexsad, Sweeeet Adeline, Scottbob, RobinHoodDaffy, Kernal2306, donkey, Jason Shiffy, Firestone, beckpoppins, Shäne, Sheriff, by-tor, Threadkiller, Cuclean & Jeremy Beadle...
YOU have to find the evil masquerading as an innocent. Throw them off and let the cold hands of the sea strangle the air from their lungs. But be careful who you select to throw off. There are innocent guests amongst you. A killer will deceive, lie and blend in. Don't make the wrong choice. Trust No one. Have your wits about you! Deaths deadly stench is but one vote away!
Voting is every WEEKnight only, excluding tonight (So first voting day is Friday). Perhaps you should all use this time to state where you were that fateful night. Who were you with? Where? Be clear. Your fellow guests are examining everything you say... you vote until the guilty party is caught, or you die.
See the first post of this thread for the secret special roles within this game. Be mindful of them and their uses.
All votes should be PM'd to me before 00:00gmt/ 19:00 est time! You vote until the guilty partied is caught, or you are murdered, where your lifeless corpse will join me in littering the murky ocean seabed. I'll be seeing some of you reeeeeeal soon.
(NOTE: I believe I've PM'd all involved. 19 players. If I've missed anyone, pls let me know.)

I was doing a little bit of nightswimming in the pool with The Doors playing on the fine stereo set you got there. Just relaxing. When I went to my room I noticed glass sprinkled on the floor and I didn't see the fire axes. I put the glass to the side and put the "Warning Wet Floor" sign in on top of it. I then went to my room , took a shower and went to sleep.

Poor Captain Bay. I knew nothing more about him than he was a complete gentleman.
I decided to take this trip because I am turning 20 in a few days and wanted to try something new. As soon as land escaped my eyes, I knew it was a bad decision. A panic attack settled in and soon afterword, vomiting. I was in the bathroom for the day and at night in bed trying to sleep through the trip( A bucket nearby).

Yes, I was behide the bar in the ballroom fixing cocktails for all of the guest on the glorious ship, The Elizabeth Dane. And what a fine ship and crew to boot. Captain Bay was such a social Captain to all of his guest. I never did leave the bar all that night, cause I have a bed behind the liquor cabent. The Captain always wanted a drink at the drop of a hat, that is why I sleep there.
I am only a five doors away from the Captain, so I did no hear any noise at all last night. Around 6:00 A.M. I woke because the Captain never showed up for his nightly night cap. I always say, he should not have a drink while he guides the ship. As I walked out of the Ballroom, I saw the blood trail to the rail and the foot prints in it. Everyone who walked through the trail were wearing deck shoes (as stated in the book) so no one could look at the shoes and figure out who's is who's.
As the Bartender, never for get a face and what they were drinking that night. I hope to be great assistant to anyone who will help figure out, WHO KILLED CAPTAIN BAY?

I was in the gym getting in an evening workout. After that, I went to my room, showered, and made my way to the stern of the ship with the smuggled bottle of Jager I brought on-board with me(cruise drinks are quite expensive:rolleyes:). After some wake staring and a few shots from the bottle I headed back to my room for a good nite's rest. There was no sign of foulplay as I made it back to my cabin. I was scheduled to play shuffleboard on the Lido deck with a few of the ladies this morning, but alas that was all shot to shit with the discovery of Captain Bay's murder.

Well I was in my room trying to figure out what to telegram my family, and let them know to meet me back at the dock when we returned. I spent most of the day on the Miniature Golf Course on one of the upper decks, my short game needs some work. After that I hit the driving range on the stern. I have a wicked slice I'm trying to work out of my game, and I need to work with my irons a bit more. I afterward decided to go to my cabin to grab a shower and listen to some relaxing Scar Symmetry before hitting the bar in international waters. Once at the bar I ordered up a burger and a nice tall glass of Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier. After that I drank a Sam Adams and a mixture of rum and grape gatorade. Shortly after I retired to my room and woke up the next morning to find out that Captain Bay had been brutally murdered. I had only met the man in passing, but he seemed like a nice fellow. Nobody deserves that fate that he suffered.

Since this is my first cruise on a ship I decided that a drink would help calm my nerves so I ordered a drink from the bar. Food sounded good so I also got a burger and some fries (chips).
I then went to my room where I took a shower and fell asleep reading one of the many books I brought with me. I was awoken by the commotion and the terrible news that captain was murdered. Poor Mr Bay he was really a gentleman.

I knew well of my husband's indiscretions with the ladies, and accepted them. He was also a bit of a gambler, and owed a couple of our guests money. Come on now, people! If there's one thing I've learned from my long and critically acclaimed literary career, it's that the murderer is never the first person suspected.
Murderers aren't that complicated. Just look for someone antisocial and taciturn...or someone with obviously deep-seated identity issues *glances at Donkey*

Come on now, people! If there's one thing I've learned from my long and critically acclaimed literary career, it's that the murderer is never the first person suspected.
And it's never the person with the word 'killer' in their name either.

EDIT: AND if past history has taught us anythign it's that the murder is never the most social poster. I'm covered in social. SO it can't be me.
But some of us have plays opening tonight and can't take the time to be social. I loved Cap'n Bay. May he rest in peace in Davy Jones' Locker!

Ugh, what happened? I have been asleep since the night in question...
I have a hazy recollection of that night. I was secretly doing my best to keep up with shots but started fading bad when they switched to Tequila and cheer'sing a certain slutty pirate hooker (I don't understand the last part as she didn't have a captian hook, hook on her hand).
I do remember trying for a part of AA's crew till we held an impromptu axe throwing contest and failing miserably. That was pretty early in the night and might explain some of the axe's missing. I'm fairly sure that the axe's ended up on the movie'poop'shoot deck but a few might have been lost to the sea from wild throws.
After that the evening ended early for me, exhaused from the nights revelries I left to my room to play Call of Duty 4 till the wee hours of the morning. I didn't hear anything but my room is quite far from the Captain's and away from where they dragged the body. I wasn't horribly drunk at any time in the night.
P.S. I have both my shoes on and they have no trace of blood.

Well, well, well...
As my restless soul wanders the decks of my tainted ship, I see friends pointing blame and accusations thrown back and forth. The only two ladies on board have been mentioned in detail. My bar keeper put in a horrid firing
line...
Yet midnight has passed, signaling the real start to this game of lies, wits and intelligence.
Overall six names were voted for. Some were... better than others.
But the crowd concluded my trusty bar keeper, Scottbob, was involved in my demise. Would he do this to me?
No! As he was pushed overboard he screamed his innocence until the waves gurgled his voice and the fog took him from sight.
An innocent lost.
And under the cover of the lynching, those really involved in my death struck again!
Jeremy Beadle lies outside his room, hacked to death! This was not a clean murder. This was chaotic. Messy. Why did they target Jeremy?!
Another innocent lost.
17 guests remain. Odds have dipped.
Next voting night is MONDAY. You have the weekend to try to find some sense to this maddening situation. Work together. Yet... trust no one!

I'm thinking this over way too much haha. I had an idea we locked everyone in there room and had some type of chain on their door so they can't get out till the morning *the Morning after we vote* and only one person would have the key to everyone's lock, and their door would be the only one without chains. So if a chain was broken, and we found another passenger murdered we could either decide that the person with the key unlocked someone's door and tried to frame them, or the passanger with the broken chain on their door is the murderer and we vote the very next night. But that's impossible and I overthought it way too much, but it's not a horrid idea! Right?.....right?

Ok, as much as I hate to say it, the worst thing we can do is remain separated. Since the killer is courteous enough to allow us the weekend to wonder who will die next, I suggest we all gather in one place on Monday. If we're all together, no one can get picked off.

Actually the smarter thing to do would be to break into a few small groups and isolate each group.
Then if someone in group A dies, we know that the killer is in group A. Likewise if no one in group B dies, then group B is beyond suspicion.

Then if someone in group A dies, we know that the killer is in group A. Likewise if no one in group B dies, then group B is beyond suspicion.
Great idea donkey!
Group A:Cheney, Neon_vomit, Rob101, wanderingquesadila, Alexsad, Sweeeet Adeline and RobinHoodDaffy,
Group B:Kernal2306, donkey, Firestone, beckpoppins, Shäne, Sheriff, by-tor, Threadkiller, Cuclean
Group C: Jason Shiffy
Agree?

Look , it sucks that Antonio , Jeremy and the guy that served me a crappy martini died... I just want to make it through this alive! Nobody can be trusted. Lets make 4 groups then?
Group A: Cheney, Neon_vomit, Rob101, wanderingquesadila
Group B: Alexsad, Sweeeet Adeline, RobinHoodDaffy, Kernal2306
Group C: donkey, Jason Shiffy, Firestone, beckpoppins
Group D: Shäne, Sheriff, by-tor, Threadkiller, Cuclean
Everybody gets locked in a room. Every room gets an amount of supplies so there's no reason to leave the room. Group D locks every room and then they'll go into their room and lock it from the inside. If the killer wants to get into a room he has to make noise. If the killer makes that noise the group arm themselfs and have their way with the killer. No way the killer can kill 4/5 people in a room. At night we can hear a lock being broken if the killer tries to escape. If the lock is not broken , we know the killer is in Group D.
Somebody wants to add something to the plan?

Forget all this talk about logic and separating into groups. Clearly, our best option is to keep throwing randomly selected people overboard.
For my part, I'm going to spend all my time wandering alone through the cargo areas of the ship looking for an ice bucket. That way, I'll be an easy mark for the killer and everyone else will have an inreased reason to suspect I am the killer. It's a win/win.

Dude, I know, how did he split up the groups and put all the badass party mofo's in group D?
Conincidence? I THINK NOT!
I kind of like the splitting up idea, except that the door in the initial murder didn't show sign of forced entry. So either the door was opened by Captian Bay, or the killer had access to keys.
This may be important, who had access to keys?
Sweet Adeline? Do you know where your husbands jingly things are?
I'm guessing that there is no way to check for shoes, as people could have brought more with them to hide the evidence. Is there any way to tell what exactly the footprint(s) look like? Were they boots? Deck slippers? Heels? (AB can you describe what they looked like?)

The guests divided into groups. They thought they could flush the Killers out by separating. They discussed this not knowing who they were really talking to, or who was lurking on the fringe of their discussions, listening. Planning... preparing murder...
But before the lock-in, the votes were collected.
On Friday, 6 were nominated. Today, 3. And the one targeted more than others... Jason Shiffy.
He put up a fight as he was dragged to the edge. But soon he fell. His head scraping against the hull as he plummeted down.
Was he part of the murderous team?
* dramatic pause *
No! Another innocent stricken down. No one believed his words, although he did speak some truth. This particularly:
I'm getting to the bottom of this!
Indeed he did, and now he roams the seabed!
--
And so to the lock in. The groups separated. All eyes on the guests they huddled together with...
But smoke seeped forth from under the door. A fire had been set! Pre-planned to foil this little group experiment.
The games room was alight. The groups were freed. Everyone was needed to fight the fire. Smoke lurked everywhere. Guests became lost in and out of the mayhem!
And then they pounced. A fire Extinguisher to the head. Poor, poor Beckpoppins died before she hit the ground.
Men, or women - these killers care not!! A Poop Shoot lady is now gone. Do any of you feel guilt?
15 remain.
How many killers are there?
Are the secret roles being used to their best effects?
Who is keeping a low profile? Does this mean anything? Do you *really* know who you're talking to?
Tomorrow the Elizabeth Dane will be that much lighter as more people go!
