In other words, we prefer dinner and a movie before we start bumping uglies.
Post a while, get to know us, give us a chance to get to know you before you start pimping your show. We're a pretty tight knit group here.

Yeah, I think they're cons. <inserting shameless plug> I know someone who sells domains, and hosting cheaply. None of this awful 'monthly' business. </end of plug>
Now you have a domain, get hosting and install a Wordpress blog for example. There you can host any blogs you have, plus as you own it all you'll be in control of every aspect. (I don't like the idea of blogspot/podbean, etc - I'd want my work on my hosting where it's *mine*.)

Nah, it's easier than all the mumble-jumbo sounds. All you'd need to know is how to upload your casts to your space, then create a new blog/cast post.
