First, I'd like to apologize for answering the wrong questionaire; I posted in the April '09 thread, although you can clearly see I joined in May. That said:

1. I prefer showers to baths. I don't like marinating in my own filth.
2. I would only make a pilgrimage if I could wear the cool hat with a buckle on it.
3. I'd have to go Clint. Outlaw Josey Wales, that's why. Plus there weren't toupees in the Wild West... probably.
4. I'm not exactly waiting with bated breath for any of this summer's movies, but due to pure nostalgia for my childhood, either G.I. Joe or Transformers 2. It makes me wonder if the'll ever remake Thundercats or give us a live-action Smurfs.
5. Just for laughs, I would ask Governor Schwarzenegger: "What is best in life?" (preferably during a press conference.)

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?
Showers. I know where my body has been, I don't want to be swimming around in a stew of 'me' if I'm coming home from a particularly grimy day.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
Even if its not all its cracked up to be, I really should take a trip to The Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame and pay homage to the great artists of the past century.

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?
Wow, that's a tough one, but I'd have to tip my hat to Clint, since he is in two of my favorite westerns, The Outlaw Josey Wales and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
Can't really think of one movie this summer that I'd line up for a midnight showing of, although so far the trailers for the latest Terminator continue to impress me and show promise of *gasp* a good story.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?
I'd ask John Fogerty, "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?"
Bet he's never heard that one before ;)

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?

After being released from County I did dirt work, cleared brush and lived in shit hole Indian run motel for several months. The only thing that mattered besides beer, pot and cigarettes was pussy and a hot bath. You notice pussy and a hot bath are as one. I could get a hot bath almost as soon as soon I walked into the room. I could have never gotten the pussy with out a hot bath. I could take my beer with me in the tub and the shower pressure sucked dog nuts. Bath all the way. They have showers in jail.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?

South Padre. I need some island time.

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?

Because Howard Hawks or John Ford was directing and the son of a bitch just looked like a man.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?

I'll be happy to see anything at the theater this summer.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?

I would ask the general public...This shit stupid. Can we legalize it already?

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?
Showers. Understanding the basic physics behind surface tension as well as the propensity for dirt to cling to any "clean" surface, I don't understand baths as a form of getting clean. I understand them for soaking, or relaxing, but not for cleanliness. Plus...my ass is also in the bath...poop happens down there...and no matter how good you wipe, there is still going to be some...albeit microscopic poo...who wants to sit in poop water? It's like swimming in the river...or a public pool. Ick.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
To every Hooters restaurant in the United States. What can I say? It's always been a dream.

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?

They made different kinds of cowboy movies. If you are going for grittiness or revenge theme...Clint, all the way. If you want more of a romantic approach to the genre...The Duke FTW.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
Transformers 2. Yup. I said it.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?
Any person who is physically able that would collect from social programs rather than holding a job: "Really? Where's your pride now?"

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?
Showers. You can get in and get out real quick.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
I would go to Germany and spend some time in Munich and Dusseldorf.

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?
Eastwood. He is just the ultimate bad-ass.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
I guess I would have to say Star Trek. I've never been a fan and was wondering what it's like.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?
I would ask the French why they are so smug.

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?

I like both at different times. When I used to live at home, the cest solution was a 'bower'. Shower until clean, then put the plug in, fill the bath with hot tap water while the shower still ran. Sit and relax.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
London....for now.

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?
Clint Eastwood. I haven't seen enough John Wayne movies.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
Well, Avatar is out because that's a Christmas release. So I'd say Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?
Mr Spielberg, May I have an audition? :D

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?
Showers. I thoroughly enjoy peeing in my shower, so that wouldn't end well in the tub.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
Poland. my mother's side of the family is pure blooded Polish and I want to get to know my heritage better.

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?
Admittedly have not seen too many of Wayne's westerns. But The Quiet Man is one of my all time favorite movies. However, the Leone movies are just perfect, GBU is my third favorite movie of all time, so I suppose Clint gets the nod.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
Terminator. I didn't see the third one because it looked forced and tacky, but this looks like it could be incredible. Not really summer, early fall, but Where The Wild Things Are.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?
Bill Waterson: Any naked drawings of Calvin's mom sitting around?

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?

I'm a shower man, I can't afford the tub that would be required to bath me.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?

Do you have to walk for it to be considered a pilgrimage, cause if that's the case than I don't think I'd able to pilgrimage much farther than the Taco Bell across the street.

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?

John Wayne. John Wayne had nothing but the western to his name. Clint Eastwood is still shooting decent flicks without cowboys.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?

Does August count? Cause I hear Tarantino's got a new one coming out.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?

Mike Hunt, "What was grade school like for you?"

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?
I prefer showers, because they stay pretty consistantly warm

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
Jamaica, i like warm weather and Bob Marley

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?
That is a question that will plague me for days.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
Star Trek, already saw it... well worth the hype they put on it.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?
I would ask Tom Cruise if he could please do me a favor and put a bullet in his head... or at least go away for a weekend so i can have a crack at katie holmes.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?

John Wayne just because of all the memories I have of watching his movies with my dad.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
Really looking forward to Inglourious Basterds.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?

1. Do you prefer baths or showers and why? who wants to sit in poop water? Is that an invitation? You throw some weird parties.

2. If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to? I don't think I'd be able to pilgrimage much farther than the Taco Bell across the street. That's what I call religious dedication. Taco Bell would be the only pilgrimage where you kneel and pray at the altar only after you get back home. The porcelain altar that is.

3. who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why? Clint. Outlaw Josey Wales, that's why.
This.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?the trailers for the latest Terminator continue to impress me and show promise of *gasp* a good story. I have very low expectations but high hopes. Star Trek was pretty good.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?[B]Bill Waterson: Any naked drawings of Calvin's mom sitting around?

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?
I love baths and I, too, am a fan of the shower to bath transition.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
Back to Portland, OR to show them that I have grown up since I left!!

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?
I am not a huge western movie fan but my Dad super loves John Wayne... So I'll go with the Duke.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
I'm a girl and I like girly movies but if someone wants to see something else I go. I do owe one of my best friends a movie with dragons in it. So who knows.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?
My shallow answer is to Brian of Cabin Fever if he wants to make out. Deep answer wouldn't be a question I would just tell my grandpa I miss him.

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?

Baths. In Asia, baths rock! Most countries in Asia have Sauna's everywhere. Get out of work, hit a sauna, get squeeky clean, relax in the bath/whirlpool and get a foot massage from a beautiful lady while having a beer before heading out.

And, you shower before you go into the bath (I'm talking to you Z, poopy@ss!)

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
Hard Question. What enters my head is: If I strike the lottery, there's a possibility I'd pilgrimage across the land visiting QSE members like JK, Zac, Bytor, Cuc, RHD, and Cabin Fever boys (and even Plumey, if he'd put up with the distraction). I'd bring gifts (most likely booze) and maybe make podcast of it for the QSE.

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?

John Wayne. I used to watch John Wayne movies with my Grandfather. Hell, he even looked like John Wayne. I can't see a John Wayne movie without thinking of my grandfather. I must add also as much for the war movies as the cowboy films (my grandfather was a decorated WWII veteran). But, John Wayne cowboy films were my foundation in the genre and have heavy sentimental attachement.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
Transformer 2.

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?

Besides asking Megan Fox to have sex with me, which I doubt will end up with a "yes" I can't think of anything else. Maybe asking Ahmadinejad if he wouldn't mind seeing Allah right now? And I mean; "click, bang!" right now. Course, he'd probably go to hell so Allah would just be a false incentive.

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?
I can't sit still long enough to take a bath, and besides there are far better things to do than sit in the room where people go to poop.
2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
Australia: Perth, Darwin, ok Sydney too... SCUBA diving on the Great Barrier Reef...
3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?
Considering Wayne was only a cowboy and Eastwood has done more and Wayne was the first so he set the bar he was the original and that's all that matters. Though I still very much like Eastwood.

"April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?"

I'm a shower person. The reason is likely a result of childhood trauma. Growing up, my family was on a tight budget. We drank canned orange juice and powdered milk. My clothes were typically hand-me-downs from older brothers. Generic sneakers, etc.

I was the youngest of five children, and to save money we would all use the same bath water. My father would go first, then the kids in sequential order from oldest to youngest. By the time I got to use the tub it was somewhat less than inviting. The bath would be luke warm, if not plain cold. The water had become a sort of greenish-grey color and was completely opaque. Small flakes of dead skin could be observed floating on the waters surface. And I was told to immerse myself in this unholy soup so that I could "clean up."

I need to take a shower now.

"Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?"

Amsterdam

"Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?"

John Wayne was before my time, so Eastwood wins by default.

"Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?"

None of them. *pouts*

"If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?"

I'm going to be fighting what I feel is an unjust and unfair traffic citation I received recently. With that in mind, I would ask George Galloway if he would speak on my behalf during the proceedings.

1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?

baths by a long shot. Showers get the job done, but baths provide leisure. Sure, i have no claw-footed tube or man-servant to hand me towels, but it is still a good time.

2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?

hmm. I am a heathen atheist commie so.... dollyworld?

3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?

wayne, ... wayne is the classic ass-kickin', gun-totin', take-no-guff bad johnny we all love.

4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?

Inglourious Basterds!!! oh sweet bejeeze am i super-jazzed about this! gore - check, brad-stache - check, nazi-thumpin' - CHECK CHECK CHECK!

5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?

i would really like to ask bruce campbell if i could rub his chin for luck, just for a minute.

1. I must agree with JK on this one: Showers to clean, baths with my lady.
2. Waterloo sometime this summer because I haven't seen Zac in this millenium.
3. I gotta go with Clint Eastwood. The rough grittiness of his movies seems to more realistically capture the spirit of what my idea of what the "Old West" was.
4. Star Trek
5. Well I got that one out of the way already.......I asked my girlfriend to marry me and she said yes.

Here to introduce myself as the noob...

on with the survey
1. April showers bring May flowers: do you prefer baths or showers and why?
showers are all business baths are all fun. Showers for the work day, baths for the ladies.
2. Mayflowers bring pilgrims: If you were to make a pilgrimage, where to?
australia, as it is the only continent (minus antarctica) that i have not visted.
3. Howdy pilgrim: who do you think made the better cowboy movie, John Wayne or Clint Eastwood? Why?
Clint Eastwood because John Wayne died way to much in his movies.
4. Which big film of the summer are you looking most forward to?
It was Star Trek, and I dont think any of the other big summer flicks will top it so it shall remain star trek.
5. If you could ask anyone in the world one question, who would it be and what is the question?
I'd ask the dwellers of these here forums-
Got any more questions?

Clint Eastwood because John Wayne died way to much in his movies.

Considering John Wayne appeared in over 200 movies and only died 8 times, and Clint Eastwood has made a somewheres around 40 movies and died 3 times...I think The Duke did pretty well.
