QSE Who dunnit? Thread

[Aaron]

In the Quick Stop Hotel the guests awake to a ghastly sight. The hotel owner Aaron has been stabbed to death! He lies in a pool of his own blood in the hotel lobby.
Stunned, the guests gather around. They know that the Hotel is isolated. They know that there are no tracks in the thick, heavy snow outside that is blocking all the roads. They know the murderer is one of them. But they don't know who.

Alexsad, Ozchick, Robinhooddaffy, Firestone2489, Shane, dtcb, Scottbob75, Jason Shiffy, Cuclean and Antonio Bay. It's your task to figure out who the murderer is and bring them to justice. Throw who you think is the murderer out into the cold night, where death is sure to meet them. But be careful, if you chose wrong, the murderer will be locked inside with you and will take another life and the innocent you cursed will be lost too.

To help, one of you will have the power to save a hotel guest from the murderer and the group vote each night. But their position will be a secret too so be careful not to throw them out!

All votes should be left in the hotel reception desk (ie my PM inbox) by 00:00GMT/19:00 EST every night until you find the killer or they get you all.

PS, the fun of this game is figuring it all out. So PLEASE keep your roles secretive. Don't trust anyone. Feel free to banter and lie to throw the sent off. We can change the game next time if we find something isnt working, but this is how it is now, so bitching will only waste valuable playing time.

I have not been on the forums for too long but I recall in past podcasts (recent for me) Aaron and Brian mentioning something about how Antonio Bay not being a fan. my memory is quite vague, but that does not stop me from keeping my eye on him...

What time did you fall asleep at? Being a night owl, I was up late in my room watching the television. I heard some comotion downstairs but I assumed it was just someone going to bed. The television was quite loud.

It's true, I probably was the last to see Mr Aaron alive. Around about 10:20pm I left my room to inquire about a minor detail regarding the breakfast arrangements. It had slipped my mind earlier, and was of little importance, but still, I didn't see any problem in jogging downstairs and asking if he could refrain from putting sliced bananas in the breakfast fruit salad. I'm not a fan.

We spoke for about 5 minutes. He was at the front desk tidying some papers. Yawning. The radio beside him was on a little too loud for tastes, dirty lyrics and such, (I can't complain, I gathered he was off duty by that time.) so I said my goodnights and went back to my room.

It may be of some note, that when passing the main sitting room, I could see shadows under the door moving back and fro. What person, or persons it was, I do not know.

Back in my room, I read for a while. I'd say about 40 mins or so before I turned the lights out. What little I'd drunk had gone to my head and I felt unusually very tired for such an early time (for me).

I mentioned how great the Hotel was, and he began to tell me how much of a rich history the place had. He then spoke of enjoying his work. I brought up the subject of breakfast and he made a note of it.

He seemed just as bubbly as he did throughout the day, and as for the Sitting room - the door was ajar, the grand fire was still roaring - I could see light flickering along the wall. I heard no noises. Perhaps the shadows under the door were from the fire, but I would say otherwise. I was a tad light-headed after all.

That would have been me. Since it was early in the evening I decided to have some brandy and poeruse some of the literiture in the bookcase in the sitting room. I paced from time to time I quietly read aloud lines from Brecht. I cannot remember the exact time I left the room but Aaron was still at his desk. I gave him a nod and wandered up the stairs with an extra large brandy to drink with a soak in the tub.

I thought nothing of it at first because I just woke up, and I thought I was still sleeping for a minute or two until I did not hear Aaron's usual morning routine of listening to Wham!'s "Wake me up before you go go" while he masturbated vigorously.

I was awake at the time of the murder as I went to sleep quite late and rose very late. With quite a decent pain in the head to boot might I add.

Now we have 35 minutes to make a decision but as we know if the killer is amongst those present at this time, they may firstly sway the vote to someone else and secondly lie and vote for another.

Firestone248 says that there was a woman at the desk, but there was no lady at the desk in the morning because Lady Mantlepiece was in the kitchen making breakfest for the guest. Scottbob75 was no more the murderer than anyone else. But the true murderer has not struck any other guest.
Was Scottbob75 their target already? Did they let the other guests do their dirty work for them. Risky, considering one of the guests with the power could have saved Scott. Or are they biding their time so that they can strike the leaders of the hotel guests.

Only time will tell...

First, I was saved by DTCB, how would I have been able to co-ordinate that little bit of magic.

Second, I have spelled out my night. But to go into more detail. I checked into the hotel early, as I get off work early. I saw my old friend Mr. Poole and greeted him the way I always do, by giving him a bit of a hard time. Knowing he had not been to the states in some time, I presented him with a bottle of Arbor Mist, a known indulgence. As I was quite tired I sat in the lobby and napped in front of the fireplace. You must have all seen me in the chair as you checked in. I awoke from my nap, and had a nice meal with Mr. Bay. It is incredibly inconvenient the he is gone and can not collaborate my story. We discussed our love of cats and a wonderful evening was had. The bourbon I had been drinking at dinner combined with the earliness of my alarm meant I left Mr. Bay to his evening. I saw someone coming down the stairs as I climbed, but the drink had gone to my head and alas I did not take the time to get a good look. I put my earplugs in, put my phone on vibrate and slipped it into the pocket of my pajamas and slept until my alarm woke me.

I arrived late enough, at roughly seven as I had to finish my afternoon shift at work. I arrived to see, and now to confirm, RobinHoodDaffy going off with Antonia Bay. I wen straight to my room to see what it was like, as well as to check out the state of the mini bar. I channel surfed for a while, drank a beer and made my way down to the front desk. I inquired to the direction of the sitting room as I wanted to look through the materials there. I read through some works of Chekhov and Brecht and paced around enjoying a nice brandy. I left to see Mr Bay reach the top of the stairs. I did not wish to follow him at any speed as I assumed he was retiring. I nodded to Mr Poole to which he bade me goodnight. I went up to my room and filled the tub to bathe. The inclusion of a shower running down my back was a welcome addition. After my shower I continued to indulge in spirits and watch some relatively lack luster television. I heard commotion later on in the evening but thought nothing of it as I drifted off to sleep. I then woke, in my underwear and dressing gown with the sheets sprawled on the floor. I continued my day by going downstairs and was confornted with the loss of a friend.

Well, I had recently seen the Brian Friel rewriting of Three Sisters and I will be seeing The Seagull by the end of the year so I was looking through a translation that wasn't by Friel. The name of the translation of the one I read I believe was Gerard Ledger although I may be wrong.

The vote was half an hour ago. No one was online so I just went for one of the names. It was based on the new way we we trying to do it. I know it's not fair but I had to pick someone.

The night Aaron was killed I was talking to the great Al McFurson on skype until the internet cut out around 9. I was very bored so I decieded to call the reception desk and they told me that I got disconnected due to the bad weather. So I thought nothing of it and went to sleep listening to some U2.
Than I awoke~~~

On the night Mr Poole was killed I was late in arriving as I had been on a date that was going very well indeed. I was feeling light headed, I thought from the alcohol consumed but I am starting to think my drink may have been spiked due to the fact that I can't remember anything after arriving at the hotel and subsequently passed out for a few days before awaking to the news of Mr Poole's death.

If you are the killer, this would be a bold move to put us off your scent.

That's a good summation. I'd like to add that no one was killed until Ozchick 'woke up'.

In regards me trying to remove the initial vote. I was more than willing to even discuss who I had voted for to see if you had thoughts about someone else being a candidate until Aaron's ghost showed up and told us we have more time.

I'd like to add that you're very quick to throw stones and that I think its more likely the killer used the fact that several people were late into the game to throw suspicion away from themselves by not killing anyone. Sneaky farking russians.

So let's discuss - I think the U2 listening little freak might be the killer coz Bono would send anyone insane.

If my vote has been reprieved (and i assume by the post from Aaron that it was) my vote was for Alexsad (no offense) solely based because he continually kept accusing.

I hope my vote has been removed because I sent it when no one was online and I had very little to work with.

Sorry I didn't check in. I work nights so I checked into the hotel late. After getting settled into my room I decided to play some TF2 until I decided to take a shower and go to bed. I called the lobby to ask for more towels because I wasn't sure if I would have enough for my shower in the morning. Thats when whoever the woman was that answered the phone told me of the good man's demise. I then rushed down stairs to see for myself.
