Well, when you find out that a company has an entire department dedicated to cruising the Internet, searching for anything an employee might have put out there, it's just a lot easier to not have anything out there for them to see. Which is why some of us may have to nuke their Facebook account as well.

What?
This is nuts.
As long as you're not talking about work they have no rights to have any influence over your personal stuff

I was told that if it wasn't something I was willing to say in person to the head of the company, it was considered questionable and probably shouldn't be out there. Even if I never mention the company, someone might associate my name with the company and if anything I say or post could negatively reflect on the company, then... well...

I just don't want to take any chances. I bought a house for Christ's sake.

Wow, you'd think things like that don't become an issue unless you're making fun of your work colleagues or typing "I just shat on my boss's desk... again"

I just don't want to take any chances. I bought a house for Christ's sake.

I can understand that, dude. I just think what they're saying is nuts.

Start saying words like "lawyer", "freedom of speech", and "settlement". If they want to fire you, you'll make money. I did a little quick research on "right to work states". I thought you might find this interesting
"Many people believe it means that you can be fired from your job without explanation, and they are, therefore, reluctant to live and work in a Right to Work state. That is not the basis of the Right to Work concept. A Right to Work law guarantees that no person can be compelled, as a condition of employment, to join or not to join, or to pay dues to a labor union. In other words, if you work in a Right to Work state, like Arizona, and the employees form a union, you may not be fired if you decide not to join. Likewise, if you are a member of a union in a Right to Work state, and you decide to resign from the union, you may not be fired for that reason."

This was just the first link I clicked on. I am sure there is a shit ton more info out there. The nice thing about huge corporations...even if they are sure they are in the "right" they will often times settle just to keep their names out of the paper...especially if their adherence to your civil liberties are in question.

Asking people's opinion on what is the best model is different than asking someone what a website is on the internet.
Go to the website and find out. Me going to the apple store is not going to tell me what type of mac is best for what I'm trying to do with it

"Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?" That's not much of an explanation I got from their website. And I'm not signing up. You could have probably explained it in that paragraph you just wrote. But it's alright. I am a little surprised that you edit videos but don't know what kind of juice you need for a Mac.

Um...actually...that explains exactly what Twitter is. And I've never even been to their website.
Why can't you ever just say, "Good point." When someone points out something? Is your pride really THAT sensitive?

I am a little surprised that you edit videos but don't know what kind of juice you need for a Mac.

I took 3 years in college to study television production. Not computers. I know how to do what I do, not what specs computers have.

And I couldnt have explained twitter any better than that paragraph did.

Twitter newbie question > I created my profile yesterday and already I've had 6 strangers following me. It happens just after I post something. Is it because it's shown on the public time-line and undercover spammers leap into action?

Or is this the norm? Because it sucks.

Dude, go with it. I have 131 followers. Do you think they're all real people? HA!
Yeah, it's mostly bots that see you post in the timeline. Or they do searches for certain words

So, this is as good a place as any Tweet, Skype it's all the same, right?

So during the Cabin Fever Nights 2 Aaron told me that he could not see me on his list. I don't have many contacts, but Aaron's other account shows an Offline X, so does Cuclean. Cabin Fever and Misinformation both show ?'s. Is that my bad, or do they need to change that?

Just trying to do what I was told.
Thanks.
