I actually like the over-produced snippets in between the calls. My only feedback would be to somehow pipe the callers into the recorder, and vary the phone ring sound effect.

The snippets weren't bad...there were just too many of them. Piping the callers in to the recording is high dollar equipment...unless they call via Skype.

FYI, "Zack and Miri" made it (limited theaters) to Hong Kong. Went outta my way to watch it......there was some editing even with a Catergory III listing. :rolleyes:

Too many phone calls, most of which the audio was poor to hear, and also too many little snippets of things and what not.

But...having said that I have listened to the first snydecasts and cabin fevers and know things improve over time!

I'm surprised they didn't do Skype. Based on the cast it sounds like someone shelled out for 5 phone lines and a multi-line phone. I can't imagine those are Jason's or Matt's home numbers.

Hey guys,

Love the idea of using callers...definitely adds a new dimension to the casts here on QuickStop. My only suggestion, is that simply answering Q and A can get a little tedious...I think what would fill the show out a bit is if you mixed up the callers with topics that Mewes can just riff and rant on..be it current events, comics, video games, whathave you. Break it into segments where Mewes goes off on whatever he feel like, take some calls, let Mewes and his partner riff on other stuff (maybe things going on in their lives a la Kev and Mos...always fascinating), then more calls, etc.

I like the sound clips and what not interspersed. Also, I would have to agree that MC Chris as your opener is bad fucking ass.

Also...what's the call in number? Will you post it along with the recording time so the rest of us can get in on the goods?

How about doing another call in session, say you take 20 or so calls for a stockpile. Then throughout the next 5-10 podcasts you throw in a call to Jay either in the middle, end or whatever.

it helps if you have independant eye control or at least can cross your eyes slowly. if you straight down from the 'R' and 'x' in 'relax' you will see to little spermy looking dots. cross your eyes untill they overlay one another and hold it untill your eyes feel naturally there (ist best to do this on one that is not written on at all, so the pics on the ad will make you lose it if you look at them). like Mr. Bay said, its not that easy to make out due to it being lettering, but you'll see where its sunk in at.

Jay you should so have you're wife sit in on a Mewescast if only to 1up Kevin who, I think, would never have his wife on Smodcast. Maybe she's already been on smodcast...I don't know. Good on him if he did.

Anyway, while I was listening to Mewescast 3 I had a bunch of great insight when you asked cats to chime in with some feedback on your idea to have your wife on but that moment of clarity is gone.

Great idea though, should make for some great conversation and as a married man myself I can really appreciate your bravery sir!

Oh and Nicnac (hope that's spelled right) would be a great addition to the cast!

it's for sure just her and him. They did 2 casts. Kevin's mentioned she doesn't like doing it so she hasn't been on any new ones. Kevin has even had his daughter on one SModcast. they are all good. sneak in some of the local casts as well (plus the off campus misinformation and marsneedspodcasts). they are all good.

I hear you on the taco salad being a childhood staple. Of course, I always skipped the salad parts, basically making it just an open-faced taco (you know like an open-faced sandwich, which is basically just a sandwich where they don't bother to put the top piece of bread on).

I have some friends (they're brothers) whose mom used to make the best "taco salad." It's really reaching to call it that, though. She made taco meat, then everybody covered their plate in Fritos, piled on the meat, and topped it with taco sauce and cheddar cheese. There may have been lettuce there, but not on my plate...
