I gotta say Unca. I like the new interview format. You feel a lot more of the subject's character. I for one, offer a heathy Huzzah for your new endeavor.

Was it just me though, or was the bass in Ken's voice altered with the Graham Linehan one?

Word. Also, I'm glad I found the link to some of Ken's older interviews. Is there some way to say what an excellent interviewer Ken is without sounding like I'm kissing up?

Ernest Borgnine and now Tim Minchin?:D You're a good man, Plume. I really enjoy these.

I recently discovered SModcast. I'm up to Episode 60 so far. I love the music-bed Ken uses! He must be a huge Billy Joel (lots of deep album cuts I've noticed), Paul McCartney, and Beatles fan too like I am. Too bad he's not a chick. I'd marry him in a heartbeat.

I heard the new Podcast #82 and Ken used "Cross To Bear" from Billy Joel's "My Life" collection. Damn, he is way into Billy Joel as I am too! Friggin' awesome! I'd love to talk some Billy with him sometime.

Where it says "Display Options" near the bottom of the page, you have to change the "From The" option to "Beginning." Otherwise, you're only going to see the threads that have been updated within the past 24 hours.

I listened to the chats with James Urbaniak, John Hodgeman, and Tom Kenny all in a row. Great stuff.
Ken, do you think you'll ever do a chat with other voice over people like Jim Cummings, Rob Paulsen, or Tara Strong?

Listened to the new one with Paul and Stormy right as I as going to bed last night since I didn't get it downloaded until 3am. I woke up about thirty minutes after falling asleep at the end singing some song from my mp3 player. Listened to it again so I could hear the ending.
I think I was laughing in my sleep O.o I know I was laughing as I fell asleep.
I guess what I'm trying to say with all my useless rambling is I liked it. :o

Agreed, that is the first one I have heard. Simply due to having no new podcasts this morning I thought I would give it a whirl.
And fair-play Sir Duck. Your interview style is impressive. You make the people - if you know them personally or not - feel right at ease with your style which allows them to open up a lot more.
AND I KEEP SAYING HAGGIS IS AWESOME!!!!
People just can't get past the 'what's in it?' factor. 9/10 people who try it will love it.

First time I even heard of Jonathan Coulton was him performing "Still Alive". It was good to learn more about him with Ken Plume interviewing him.

I just listened to the first part of a Bit of a Chat with Doc Hammer and I am so glad someone else made the connection that Ken and Gary(number 21) have a lot in common and favor each other.
Always enjoy the rapport between Ken and Doc.
Doc has a very interesting perspective on meat. never thought of that perspective; the one of corpse. truly unique and respectable. Course, it will not stop me from continuing to eat meat and in the end this means Doc would make the worst zombie ever.
Blueberries.................I'm addicted to them as well. I keep a 2 pound bag in the freezer and eat by the bowl full. Blueberries are the best fruit and incapable of artifically producing the flavour.
I'm 100% with Doc's definition of Artists and Painters. I googled some of his work. To me he's what I enjoy. True painting. I grew up with my Dad's paintings on the walls of my house (my dad only did landscapes) I still have a few with me in Hong Kong. Modern Art makes me puke. I got a C in Art History because I mocked all the Art in the Modern Era. Was tole "You are limited in your view of Art beyond the technical proficiencies." That still pisses me off to this day. I hope Doc gets enjoyment from people who genuinely enjoy his paintings Young or old.
Cookie Jars!@@! Awesome! (but not for bread)
I'll go check out Doc's band music.
I've never seen a full episode of venture brothers; so it's going to be what i have to go on for him.
Interesting to hear how they do their venture brothers cartoon. amazing they do not have alot of the restrictions almost all shows have on TV.

As a fan of this podcast, I have a suggestion: A Bit of a Chat with Ken Plume interviewing Wil Wheaton. Any chance that you have a contact. It would be a fun interview.

I think Ken and Phirman should do a more regular podcast. Maybe just monthly, but jesus, that episode was funny.

I've caught up with all of the episodes. I don't know what it is, but Ken's interview style amazes me. I haven't heard of many of the people being interviewed until I listened to the episode, yet I became completely interested in the conversation. Sometimes you hear celebrities, Patton Oswalt being an example, mentioning horrible radio interviews with the "wacky morning DJ" personalities and being completely bored during the process. However, the guests Ken interviews always seem engaged even for a few hours at a time.
Further, Ken has slightly influenced a research paper I'll be doing for my Library Science program based on digital distribution and copyright laws. The current Peter Serafinowicz really hits on the topic, but many others do too.
I don't want to sound like a suck up to the board admin or anything, but I just want to say that A Bit Of A Chat is really appreciated and even inspirational.
nobody posts here?
just listened to the gervais interview. You bastards! Poor Hodgman!
Cast as the owl in clash of the titans..........you kill me!
Haa ahaa haaa!
All kidding aside, I want a bowler now.
Fun, fun, fun interview.
PS, Plymouth Gin from the UK, stuff is simple elegance that beats pants off the typical london dry. Always have some in a crystal decantered hip flask on the end of my monocle chain. I'm sure Hodgman would appreciate it if he doesn't already.

It puts you in very distinguished company, it only makes sense to be a bit chuffed. Go ahead and walk with your chest out, we won't judge...this time.
