Warning! PodCast Spam! Well not really. Our beloved Unca blessed my posting.
Anyway, It's TFICast (http://www.tficast.com)which is short for "The Fundamental Interconnectedness of all things". Basically, that's our Douglas Adams way of saying "Two dudes who talk about a bunch of stuff for roughly 50 minutes". However that title is far too long and pretty hard to make an acronym out of.
We started back in January and have 25 episodes in the can.
So check it out and leave some feedback here or at www.tficast.com (http://www.tficast.com). Start with the newer episodes though... the older ones are... undercooked...

Check out Episode 26 - Festival Fest (http://www.tficast.com/).

Jeremy and Erik discuss the 30th episode, define crimping as described by the Mighty Boosh, talk about Jeremy’s car incident and then Erik’s car incident, then try to imagine what a rage-a-holic tells his co-workers after an “incident”, ponder what creates road-rage, then meander through tales of other road entanglements before they abruptly switch gears to frivolous lawsuits and then go right back to vehicular occurrences. The whole thing is finished off with EULA’s for clothing and MP3 legality. It’s a rager!

The last I knew, Menards was only in the Midwest. I think they might reach as far east as Ohio, as far south as Missouri, west into the Dakotas and of course north into Minnesota and their homeland, Wisconsin. At the time that I left their employ, they had two distribution centers, one in Eau Claire and another in Ohio (I think).

See, I would probably be one of a small few that feels that going into Iraq was a good thing. I may not have at the very beginning, but my opinion changed after getting there. When we were going through cities and people would line both sides of the streets cheering for us, it really made me feel that the right choice was made. We rebuilt two hospitals, four schools and resupplied them. The reaction that we got from the children and parents was amazing.
Also, did you realize that Saddam was attempting to wipe out the entire population of Kurdish people? That was one of the charges that got him hung. It wasn't only about WMD's.

Sure, no one disagrees that Saddam was a bad guy. But our problem with this war are it's motives. It seems to be wrapped up in revenge for George HW and oil. Flip this back to the 90s when Clinton went into Kosovo to prevent that genocide, the right still lambastes him for that move and we were in and out in almost no time.
Hopefully Iraq ends ends up better because of our actions, but in the meantime we have lots of dead, they have lots of dead, we're paying for this war with out children's futures and Iraq is rolling millions of dollars of surplus.
On an unrelated note, because of the Zack and Miri webisodes my job now considers quickstop and adult website...

Thanks! I'm working on the music. Keep it or lose it... I dunno. Some of the latest episodes have the music turned down so far that it's distracting trying to figure out what the song is.
<shrug>
So, the point with Saving Private Ryan went hand in hand with censorship on TV. Bono drops the f-bomb on the grammys as in "this is fuckin' brilliant" and gets fined. A few months later Saving Private Ryan is on TV uncut, uncensored with the f-bomb dropped 8 times and bloody bodies dropping left and right. Hypocracy (Hypocrisy?) man.

TFICast 41 is up! "The Sum of all Bruce"
Jeremy and Erik open up the very small mailbag and read your comments, talk about Tom Cruise (many times), Valkyrie, The last Samurai, the Last of the Mahicans, Comic Books (SCUD and Madman), zombie porn, try to figure out how many plots there are and spend an awful lot of time talking about Bruce Campbell and Q&A sessions.

Also, how about The Colour of Money and Minority Report for two good Cruise films?

Yup, Bad Taste and Galaxy Quest were the movies. Sometimes Erik moves so fast I don't have a chance to clarify or come up with the reference being made. Maybe that's part of the charm?
Color of Money was good. Minority Report didn't do too much for me, though I liked it more than War of the Worlds.

Jeremy and Erik talk about all things 42. Including the answer to the ultimate question of Life the Universe and Everything, 42 as referenced in science, history and the bible. They also talk about how they discovered Douglas Adams, their feelings for the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Movie and as always stray away from the main topic to talk about other nonsense.

Ha, you got as much A.D.D. as we do!
Erik was describing '42'. But honestly '42', 'Impossible Planet' and 'the Satan Pit' bored the hell out of me.
Wasn't Impossible Planet/Satan Pit with Rose? If we described any elements of that two parter then we were way off.

Ah, yes. My bad. For some reason I'm mixing elements from 42 with that two parter. You're right about Rose, although I'm sure you mentioned Martha being jettisoned in an escape pod, which must have thrown me.

I'm sure you mentioned Martha being jettisoned in an escape pod, which must have thrown me.
We did. Here's what I remember, the TARDIS lands in a ship, they get out, the TARDIS is seperated from the crew because of heat, Martha is jettisoned and then Martha is in the TARDIS with the Doctor talking to her mum about the election.
Basically the episode was so boring to me that I might have just made up details to make it more appealing to me.

Well yeah. :) I have a bit of a head cold today so it's hard to think.
This planet has--or rather had--a problem, which was this: most of the people living on it were unhappy for pretty much of the time. Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small green pieces of paper, which is odd because on the whole it wasn't the small green pieces of paper that were unhappy.

While Jeremy is on vacation in the Gulf of Mexico and Erik is having a second kid, check out this episode from the archives.
Jeremy and Erik pontificate finding money in a wall and what they would do with it, would they fight? Share evenly? Invest in local artist? Or a company? They then ask when is it enough? Erik tries to build a world without money which leads to conversations about money in Star Trek, monetary evolution, socialism and other forms of government and then they ramble their way to the finish line.

TFICast 57: The Drunken Duos Economy
Jeremy is back from vacation and Erik finally had his second kid (well his wife had the kid). However there has been no time for new recording, so check out this episode from the Archives and join us next week for an all-new all-different TFICast blow-out!
After many a beer, Jeremy and Erik uneducatedly discuss the economy as it existed in September 2008. Many comparisons are made, many points are lost but it’s a fun ride.

TFICast 58: Conch Chaser
Jeremy and Erik are back for a new recording session. They catch up on listener mail and PopSyndicate forum action. Then they talk about where they’ve been and what they’ve been doing for the last 3 weeks. Erik talks about his 7 day old son and then lays out a theory of gravity which Jeremy attempts to correct but ends up sounding foolish. Jeremy talks about his trip to Florida wherein they discuss the morals of collecting natural specimens. Somehow “Shelly Duvall’s Conch” gets added to many punchlines.

What was that about someone getting in trouble over streaming the Wolverine movie?
Heh. You know, since we talked about it on the show a few weeks ago we figured that SOOOO many people heard about it through us that they went out to find it which caused Hugh Jackman to release his press release about how upset he was.
Anyhow...It's been two weeks but we're back with:
TFICast 60: All By Myself
Jeremy flies solo (or does he?) and performs celebrity impressions. Conversation is had about British pop stars. Comparisons are made between American TV and British TV (like I really know). Then the past days of McDonald’s Employment is discussed. A mobile flame broiler for whoppers is invented. All this and much more in this episode of the Fundamental Interconnectedness of All Things!

TFICast 61: Clumbersome
Jeremy and Erik spend a lot of time talking about movies and try to write the plot for “Go, Dog. Go”. Then they try to compare stories in movies versus television. The idea of a human/computer hybrid virus is pontificated. They then talk about pride and ego of the spreading of misinformation as fact. Erik reads a bible passage and recalls some punny stories. Jeremy makes fun of Chiropractors. Finally they debate the healing power of a positive outlook.

TFICast 62: The Shopkeeper (http://www.tficast.com/podpress_trac/web/486/0/2009-05-11_TheShopKeeper.mp3)
Due to a PC malfunction Jeremy and Erik crash test the remote podcasting equipment with topics of Janet Jackson’s bits, the world being a more peaceful place if there were boobs on TV and talk of waiting in lines. Erik interupts Jeremy to get a bag of chips, then Erik retells the previous three attempts at this weeks episode in two minues. Erik compares himself to the shopkeep in an RPG which leads into the capitalism of RPGs.

TFICast 63: The Big Brown PodCast (http://www.tficast.com/podpress_trac/web/489/0/2009_05_18-TheBigBrownPodcast.mp3)
Jeremy runs into an old friend who poo-poos the idea of The Fundamental Interconnectedness of all Things which leads to a discussion of how TFICast fits amonst the plethora of other podcasts. The guys obtain a new Nintendo Entertainment System, play a game of MULE and then relate it to society. “TFICast 43: Garage Sale the Movie” resurfaces and Jeremy regrets selling the stuff that he did (however the regret almost instantly resolves itself). Jeremy and Erik discuss the money trap that is Disney World. Jeremy finds it difficult to articulate most thoughts. A parallel between school extracurricular activities and being an electronics dork is made. Jeremy and Erik reminisce about how cumbersome computers were in the mid to late 80s.

TFICast 64: SYS64738 (http://www.tficast.com/podpress_trac/web/497/0/2009_05_28-sys64738.mp3)
Jeremy and Erik discuss their origins as it pertains to the Commodore 64. Jeremy talks about his history with the Bee-Line. Erik tries to figure out the difference between MODEMS, DSL and cable connections. Jeremy attempts to explain how it all works. A MULE update is detailed which leads to a conversation of kids and video games of the 21st century. The guys talk about the merits of doing absolutely nothing in a completely connected world. The conversation steers toward the old 1% of the population owning 99% talk. Jeremy admits that he watched the American Idol finale (and enjoyed it). The spice of life is discussed. A plea for some listener feedback is made.
