Something on your chest?

Put 'er here...

I'll go first.

I'm a little pissed...

Jen's brother and his girlfriend were here last weekend. Saturday through Wednesday morning. Apparently they hated the house...

Jen and I keep a pretty clean house. Scrub the bathrooms once a week, vacuum every weekend and shampoo the carpets about twice a month. the cat box gets emptied every other day, kitchen cleaned every night, trash emptied every night, etc etc etc...

Jen is fucking furious right now- she got off the phone with her mom. Brother told mom that the house has never been vacuumed, reeks of cat shit, and garbage is piled up on the kitchen counters. Oh, and the yard was mentioned as well. I mowed the entire acre Satur-fucking-day morning. With a push mower. BEFORE I went to work for eight fucking hours. And the whole house smells like a freakin' apple pie 'cause Jen's loves those freakin' sticks in a jar of smelly water. They're all over the damn place...

The floors and counters are fucking spotless. The only rooms that are messy- the basement (full of boxes) and the garage (motorcycle parts everywhere.)

I guess I'm not just a little pissed- I'm Fucking Mad. I'm proud of my home. I'm proud of how we keep it. I'll admit I keep a jar of cooking grease on the counter and there's a little cat hair floating around- it's a fucking PERSIAN. And it never goes outside. We do our best. Sorry we don't sterilize the fucking place every morning, noon, and night.

Guess who isn't invited for Thanksgiving.

Or Christmas

Just wanted to vent a bit.

Hitting him would help. :)
I know I only saw a picture, but your yard looks great.

That's stepping over the line........and then telling mother, well that's a little sissified. :o

I can imagine Jen would be furious.

Not cool. Not cool. They are out of the will.

Thanks for the vent page:

My vent....China! I'm all for national pride but, not at China's currently blindingly ridiculous levels. They are tooting their own horn like crazy. There has got to be a limit. Some local knob even said to me: "Oh, we are now the best atheletes in the world." I had to say, "The best in the World? You mean China is finally winning Olympic medals at a level that matches its overwhelming population? Countries 1/100th its size were getting more medals in previous years! Jamaica would kick your ass on the track all day!" (His response was the Chinese equivalent of "Fuck you" muttered under his breath.)

Hey, China has 'some' of the best atheletes in the world yes. No problem with that. Saying you dominate the hell out of diving, table tennis and badminton; correct, no dispute there. The Best at everything........fuck no. Nobody holds that crown or deserves it. Show some respect to other countries and individuals you hive minded whore!

Today I pick up the paper and the frontpage had "Wow! China is gold medal kings! 100% world's best ever!" You had to dig into the sports section to see "Oh and Michael Phelps got his 8th last night. La." Phelps should have been front page, even for a blurb or small picture. China's 35 gold is not really as monumental as one athelete pulling 8 gold in one game.

I don't know what the media coverage is like in Europe/USA but, China is downplaying Michael Phelps' accomplishment in Asia. No bio, no profile, just: "American swimmer...from Baltimore we think? Okay on to men's table tennis!"

Not cool.

For the record, Puggsy my friend, sometimes too much experience is a problem as well. I am having trouble even getting an interview because people see my resume and see that I was with my last job for five years and they freak. They think I will want the sun and the moon for wages, when I just wanna work. So, soon I will be giving handjobs in the park as well.

This is one time that I really hate the military. The ligaments between my right shoulder and collar bone are torn and deteriorated so my collar bone and shoulder just grind when I move my right arm, which really hurts. The doctor basically said that they will have to go in and shave a little bit off my collar bone so that the bones won’t grind anymore. If it will take the pain away, I am all for it. The bad thing is that the military hospital sent their shoulder surgeons to other posts and their replacements won’t be here for another month I am now told. I have been taking pain killers every day for the last 2 months and it is looking like it will most likely be for another 2 months. All of the waiting is making me more than frustrated.

The following is a paid advertising by the Christian Science Monitor and Church of Scientology:

Well there is! Welcome to "Handjob in the Park!" (a fully owned and subsidized company by RHD/Puggso enterprise Ltd.) I'm on the same page as you with the job thing. Or lack thereof. I filled out at least 10 applications and attached my resume with them and I'm waiting for a response now. None of these assholes have called me back yet. Do I have experience in the field I'm applying for? NO. It ain't rocket science c'mon I gotta break the ice at some point.
I don't know why else but what a shitty past couple of days. Maybe the full moon. I don't know what but I haven't been this frustrated in a while! I hope this shit passes and one of these people call me back.. I'm going to fire up a stoge.

I'm about to throw my fucking laptop right out the damn window...

When I'm using Photoshop, sometimes the computer just shuts off. Right in the middle of an edit *pop* gone. Like a virgin's panties on prom night.

And HP knows about this issue and yet they don't seem to give a rip- their idea of a solution is to re-seat the memory before restarting the system. IT DOESN'T WORK!!! It still shuts off right in the middle of me working on a kick-ass photo or graphic! (I finally got the photoshoot done for the contest...)

Well I have a feeling It'll be the same for me. I won't stop trying until I get something. I'm not sure what type of job you are applying for but I'm just looking to get into retail. Selling clothes and benefiting from the discounts the store offers. The only good things my previous jobs have done for me experience wise is they were all people skill jobs. A lot of socializing and most of the time with some very difficult people. But ain't that what its all about? Customer interaction? Hmmmm. I'm a little demoralized that you've been searching for so long and had no luck but I'll still keep at it. I have no other choice. Goodluck to all of you searching for work.

I've been working on homework for my web development class for the last 14 hours. At one point in time I couldn't figure out for the life of me why the page I was working on wasn't showing properly. I found out that I accidentally put a semi colon instead of a colon.

Right now the site is just 10 pages of mess. It is my final assignment for the class I'm taking. I'm actually debating on buying a domain if it isn't too expensive. If not, it will be nothing more than a file on my external hard drive after I turn it in to my instructor.

I just got the slip in the post informing me that basically the mailman was too lazy to buzz my apartment to let me know a package had arrived. I was in all day so he definately didn't try. Now I have to go down and collect it from the head office and the pricks say on the note that I owe 22 euro in Customs charges. What bull! I've never had to pay before. It's a bloody dvd box set from amazon.

That is some sweet-ass nectar, right there. When the wife, and I spent a week in Jamaica for our 25th, I might have drank the country out of 'em. All-inclusive vacations do seem to get me a bit tipsy.

At least its not UPS, they fuck it up EVERY time...

And I hate these places that don't give you a choice between USPS, UPS or FedEx...some of us live in apartments where we can't have things dropped off and end up having to take off of work to receive a package...or drive a freakin hour to the warehouse in Fort Worth...

Seriously...just give me a check box that says, "I know it will be slower, but I elect to have my package shipped via USPS" I would be happy with that...

JK

I preordered a game off bestbuy.com and when they sent me the tracking link it said 'usps####### etc'

I click on the link and it directs me to UPS

But neither UPS or USPS has a record of the tracking number.

I contact Best Buy to ask which they actually shipped it through.

Their response?

"We shipped it."

These guys are a bunch of assholes who are only too happy to send you to someone else when you have a question, never pick up the phones, never know how to help you when it comes to those protection plans, and hassle you for a long time when you try to return/exchange something. Horrible! I'll never buy anything from them again.

I just got direct TV and they were supposed to switch me over to HD. They sent the wrong receiver, then tried to charge me $280 for the correct receiver, install the correct dish, and installation to come out and fix what they did wrong in the first place.

Then they couldn't do it for a month since they are still fixing the damage from Hurricane Ike.

As you can guess I continued to call up the food chain until they agreed to back off of charging their brand new customer for their mistakes.

Usually I let things like this go but today it just really pisses me off. I was on the shitter and get a text message from him saying I'm probably not coming over Friday because I saw the preview for Saw 5 and really want to go see it. I gave them my information and they told me "it takes 2 months to get on the mailing list." So I waited and waited some more until I called today. I gave the lady my information again and she told me that there was an error when I gave them my credit card number. She said the never charged me. I figured hell if there was a problem they could have at least called me to let me know. Especially when I called the first time. I am going to sort through my old records and see if I was charged. Either way it sucks. I find that magazine inspirational for my artwork. :(

When it comes to beer some debate quality vs. quantity.

I say; with the means, you can have both.
Especially at Oktoberfest. I'm heading over to it in a few hours (and will keep going until they leave on Nov. 15th)
The Beer, the Band and the food are shipped in from Germany.......and fucking awesome!

I was supposed to get off at 3:30p.

It ain't happening.

I might be the last to hear about this, but I just found out about how the ending of Watchmen has been changed from the comic. This made me incredibly angry (in the saddest, geekiest way possible) since Zack Snyder had been going on and on about how accurate to the source material he was trying to be. I'll still try to reserve judgment until the movie comes out. I just really wish he had left it alone. Now, I feel like Alan Moore.

Hadn't played Xbox 360 in about 6 months. Then I purchased Gears of War 2 along with a 12 month subscription to xbox live. Upon inserting the disc in my console I noticed the drive didn't start to spin. Instead I got this message: "please insert this disc in an Xbox 360 console." Excuse me, what? How is it possible that this message even appears? Did it somehow forget? Whatever the case, I turned the console off and on multiple times until it finally worked. I have to go through this every time I want to play the game. Eventually I always seem to get it to work but really this is quite frustrating. One try should be all it takes.

How much bandwidth are you paying for? 3 megabit?

Yeah, 3 or 6, I can't remember- Jen pays the bill. The connection is working fine now. After I pitched one helluva fit this morning they actually sent someone to check the amp/repeater down the street. The guy that took the call this morning actually checked the area and about 78% of the customers in my area were down to a crawl for two days...

Every time it rains, the connection goes to shit for about 24-48 hours. I think some asshole left a cover off something that they shouldn't have...

dtcb
11-17-2008, 02:13 AM
Minor condensation will affect the exchange point (your point of presence) if it's not sealed properly. odds are the cabinet/box it's in is not designed to spec. for the network equipment and its connections; could be a reutilized power box or something else. 2 and 4 pair punchdown copper is pissy about this. If it's coax to the POP you should be okay (again unless there is major leakage on the interface pannel that consolidates all your connections (a DSX)).

Oooooorrr your provider is oversubscribing the bandwidth trunk by 300% +/-. Any oversubscription of bandwidth beyond 200% is asking for it. But, alot of providers do that and bang; you are all throttled down because you all basically surf at the roughly same time; after business hours. Easiest way to test that is to be surfing at 9 to 10 a.m. on a Monday(commuter hours, when the least amount of people are on) and see what your bit rate is.

Either way; your provider is a weenie honker.

Night before last, my girl's car broke down in the middle of the interstate during rush hour. She and the cops and the tow truck driver were convinced it was the alternator.

I pull it off, have it tested- nothing wrong with it.

So I wonder if the ignition coil was actually replaced when girl took it to the mechanic in June.

Nope- it's still the stock coil pack.

I pull the plugs and it's obvious that the damn thing was only running on five cylinders.

I replaced the coil pack- pretty easy. It sits on the top of the engine, to the side of the intake manifold. Three bolts and a few electrical plugs.

I replace all the spark plugs- not so easy. Because it's a goddamn Ford. You have to yank out the air intake assembly and maneuver around some air conditioning hoses which are wrapped in a fiberglass insulation that rubs off into your skin, making you itch for three fucking days.

I button it up and take for a test drive.

It accelerates like a scalded dog and just hums down the road at about ninety mph. Before, it would shudder and shake until about 60 and 75 was about all she could get out of it. I took it up to 115 and was satisfied that I had done a good job.

So needless to say, I was rather proud of fixing my sweetie's car yesterday and was looking forward to her driving it this morning.

I asked for the keys to the rental to move it and she said "No time!"

No time to move a car over by ten feet?

So she goes out to move it, I go into the garage, open the door to pull her car out and she's gone.

Took off like a bat out of Hell. No "goodbye", "have a nice day"... nothing.

My feelings are pretty hurt. And I'm a little... no, a LOT angry.

And when she finds out I vented about it here, I'll probably be in trouble. But I think she should feel bad for just hauling ass like that.

If you get there, don't ever stop at a red light. You will die.

Don't ever make eye contact with another driver, as that will be construed as yielding your right-of-way.

And it may be too hot, but never leave your windows down at an intersection where you see a bunch of women standing around with babies- they'll throw the kid at you and while you're trying to hand 'em back, someone is robbing you blind from the other side.

If you ship your car over, expect it to look like a piñata after a year. What was that line from Days of Thunder? Rubbin's racin'? ;)

Recently I had to work 13 days in a row. I wouldn't have done it but they were completely stuck for the two days I was supposed to be off and no other staff member was available. I was over exhausted and my body clock was messed up so two nights ago I stayed up all night to get it back into sync for last night brecause I was in at one today. After arriving home from work last night, I checked stuff online and went straight to bed. I then slept until an 45 minutes into my shift today. I left a message that I was on my way in and left for work. Two stops in on the train I get a call telling me not to bother coming in. It was a double pay shift, money that I really needed for my trip next week. If this was a normal evening shift I wouldn't have been told to stay at home. They said it was because they mainly needed me for the pre-show part of the shift, even though they had an intermission and after-show still to do. Such bullshit. I'm pretty much being "punished". I have done so many favours for them recentely and they pull this shit on me. One night of drinking aside, the reason my body clock is so fucked is because of all the time I've been putting in for them and this is how I'm repaid? I'm calling my manager for a meeting tonight before my next shift starts.

So usually at work when a holiday comes up, we get asked if we want to work the holiday. Last Friday I went to work, looked at the schedule, lo and behold I am scheduled 5-10 pm on Thanksgiving. The real pisser is that we are opening 3 hours later, and closing and hour early. We do get holiday pay but since everyone is part time, its only time and a half. It just pisses me off that I get cut an hour and a half of pay on a holiday. I mean if we are gonna have to go in and work it might as well be a full fucking day. I don't see the point of having us in there for all but 3 hours of a normal day. To top it all off, I wasn't even asked if I wanted to work I was just scheduled.

Dude I know that shit. On my street, which is literally around 70 metres long, I have 3 drug dealing homes. The severity of which escalates rapidly when walking up the street. I live in the middle, across from the heroin dealer and two doors down and across from the really bad stuff. When exiting my house I am perenially surrounded by neds (non educated delinquints, Scottish for yob). As I have long hair and look a lot younger than I am I gained a lot of unwanted abuse when I first moved in. I am constantly surrounded by violence in the streets. Knives, swords, and guns are not an unusual sight around my area. I have also avoided a couple of serious physical attacks on me because I ran, or talked my way out of it, or punched someone. Things have calmed down now, and I am just cordially ignored. Unless some new ned visiting the area decides to give me verbal abuse!

My brother moved in a couple of months ago, and because he dresses and has his hair cut like them he has made passing associations with the people who have abused me. This really fuckin gets on my god-like breast. I come from a much rougher area than my brother (we didn't live together as kids), I have the same accent. My bro has never been in a real fight in his life, whereas I have been fighting all my life and have the scars to prove it. I have the same accent (although to be honest his is fake, he never spoke like that as a kid). The only difference is my hair and the fact that I wear jeans instead of trackies, and he gets totally accepted. Whereas I have to put up with almost two years of abuse to be ignored. Fuck neds, fuck the lot of them!

Drug houses? Two on my road as well. It's absolutely disgraceful, considering that there's also a primary school, home for the mentally disabled and old people's home on my road. I'm also the odd one out on my road, Jeans and long hair too. It just so happens that most of the scumbags on my road are people i've grown up with since I was a young'un, so we get on a whole load better. I don't agree with the way they conduct themselves or how they make their money, but i'm glad they're friendly with me.

My street is in the same boat. Literally at the end of my street is a primary school, and a school for children with learning disabilities. They are surrounded by violence, and drugs, and of course alcoholics. Terrible environment.

I moved here after a few years of travel. I couldn't afford a pad in my old area (which is just as bad), so I moved here. I would've been fine with the people where I grew up for the same reason as you, but moving to the other end of the city I had to start anew. I should only be here for another year or two, but it brings me down. I don't know whats going to happen when I leave the house.

Last month I walked into my street on Sunday afternoon, hungover and fuzzy, and was greeted with an unarmed maniacal guy attacking a man who brandished a siccle surrounded by a group of girls who were young enough to be their daughters. The one with the weapon went to use it, and girls attacked the unarmed guy to prevent the weapon being used. All I could do was walk by and go home. If I had said anything I may have been next, or if I called the police they would have turned up by the time it was all over. If at all. Plus knowing my street there may have been repercussions from the culprits.

This is not even an oddity, and children are constantly surrounded by it. The police presence in this area is non-existent, and the kids see this and grow up just like it. If not worse. Obviously this is not always the case, as I was surrounded by this behaviour as a kid, and so were most of my friends. And we are not like that. However, by travelling I have realised that violence and self medication is much quicker on our minds than most. I hate police but they need to at least pretend they care about our children. When/if I have kids I will move as far away as I can. Hopefully to one of the nice areas where you actually see police!

I moved in because it was the cheapest rent I could find, and I could move somewhere else but I can't be bothered looking for something as cheap. I'm originally from Govanhill in the South Side which has just as bad areas, and I used to hang around in the Gorbals so it's not something I'm not used to. I just needed to vent today.

Lets hope you get out in one piece. Sounds like a real nasty place. Your street must have been on the news a few times. We had a few roads where I use to live which were known for all that crap.

Here's hoping mate! Yeah the street's been on the news a few times, it was also in that film Doomsday. They barely needed to do anything to it to turn it into a post-apocalyptic scene with burnt out cars and shit .

No community team officers in my area (truth be told I don't even know what that is).

Ah, maybe they don't have them in Scotland. They are just community police officers - less training and less powers. Just there to be a presence.

Where I use to live I got fed up with the yobs and such, bombarded the council until someone paid attention. Eventually ended up sending emails back and forth with our chief community officer. Told her a fews things she might wanna check out, and she was nice enough to keep me updated about late night patrols they were undergoing, etc. Like to think it helped a little.

I live in Dennistoun in The East End. Dennistoun is generally alright in a sense, but the six street radius which I live in the centre of is madness and my street is the worst.

My street's constantly covered in dog shit too .

The last pipe band I was in practiced in Dennistoun church..can't remember which one that is exactly. Got the train out to Duke Street.

Not the nicest area around but most certainly not the worst.

Damn, yesterday was a BITCH!!! Chelsey got all four of her wisdom teeth cut out yesterday morning. Blake Jr., and I were there while she was under the knife. I watched the surgery from the waiting room. I dropped a few tears while watching. She gets out of the chair crying(emotion is a bitch after something like that), and comes out to the waiting room, and I'm crying, too. Anyway, half way home she pulls down the visor mirror in the car to check herself, She sees blood all over her lips, and chin. Jr. is driving ,and I try to calm down her hysterics that start up after she gets a glimpse of herself. I get her calmed down, tell her everything is fine, and we get her home. After dropping her, and Jr. off at home, I go back to work. Half an hour later we get a call from Blake Jr. She has passed out, and her lips are turning blue. WHAT THE FUCK!!!! I peel out of the parking lot at work, spraying gravel over every other car. As I'm driving to the house(about 15 miles away) I get a call from the wife. She's crying hysterically, and that gets me balling. So, I get home in half the time it usually takes, and find that Jr. has gotten her awake, and her pallor has gone back to semi-normal. Looks like she might have taken too much Darvocet . She's fine today, but I am smooth worn out.

That is all.

I have been there. Exactly there. All four, horizontally impacted, drilled out from the sides. Three and a half hours in the fucking chair...

Not something I would wish upon even my most hated of enemies, much less anyone I care for.

Dude, I'm offering up a prayer for a speedy recovery.

They called her this morning to check on her, and give her any instructions the Blake, and I might have failed to relay. I'm heading home, now. Work is not for me, right now. I'll check back in when I get home, and make sure she's doing okay. Thanks for all the good vibes, guys. I don't know what I would do without this place, and all of you guys. :)

Damn bud, sorry to hear that, I know how you feel. My pops got his wisdom teeth pulled a few years ago, he kept saying he was fine but didn't look so good. Middle of that night he is puking his guts up. The stitches had broke and his stomach couldn't take the blood that he was ingesting. He was not making much sense, luckily the hospital fixed it.

Freaked me the fuck out.

Not angry but annoyed..
I play Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour for Pc. Real time strategy game.
I'm pretty damn good and I managed to get my win streak up to 70. Not an easy task in a rts. Granted there are noobs who can be crushed swiftly but there are people who know what they're doing and battles can last up to an hour. So I battled some douchebag twice. Beat him both times. The first time he disconnected still giving me the win. The second time, the douchebag exited out disconnecting me also! Win streak over. Damn noobs can't take a loss.

There are wins/losses/disconnects. If you literally pull the plug you will get a disconnect giving your opponent a victory. I am annoyed by this but at least I get the win. What this jerk did was something that disconnected both of us. There are ways to do it unfortunately. As if cowering away with a dc isn't bad enough, you gotta give the other guy one too.

I read a story today about a guy in LA that was found shot up, hanging on to his life by a thread. He'd just bought a Bentley and someone aerated it for him while he was driving down the freeway. From what I gathered from the story, this is the first time in a LONG time something like this has happened. But the reporter spent one whole paragraph on the guy and his car and then THREE paragraphs talking about some fucking soccer mom pissing and moaning about how her kids missed snack time at day care and how they had to dig into their lunches and they listened to Wheels on the Bus for two and a half hours...

Fuck that bitch.

And fuck that reporter.

If it were me, I would have actually tracked down the name of the guy in the car, tracked down the previous owner 'cause maybe whomever it was that shot the guy up thought it was the previous owner. It's called investigative journalism, beotch.

I don't know why, but that has just stuck in my craw all damn day.

So, I saw this Affliction shirt that I really like, so I went to their website to check it out. What the hell is that company smoking? They have some really nice clothing, but $74 for that t-shirt. Not like a dress shirt or anything fancy, a t-shirt. All of their shirts run from $40 to $86. Come on. Yeah, I don't think I like the shirt that much.

My Dad had MRSA a while back and had to have some of his toes removed. Ever since then he's been suffering with Charcot Foot disorder and various other infections related to his diabetes.

Anyways, here's my gripe. He got the sack from work (pretty much the only job he can do in his condition) a month ago because he was taken into hospital to have an emergency amputation on his remaining toes. He had to take two nights off of work because of this, and had arranged cover so there was no big deal. Reagrdless of this, they fired him for that very fact. Words can't describe just how fucked up that is. That's a condensed version to say that the company knew full well that my dad is disabled and they sacked him for getting treatment.

My mum works for the same company, and they've sacked her too for supposed complaints they had recieved about her (Which she has never seen or even been told about.) She's been working there for over 10 years and ammassed full employment rights, meaning that she shouldhave been subjected to a disciplinary hearing before they sacked her anyway. My cousin's in HR and says that it's a common tactic used by companies to sack the spouse of someone taking them to tribunal to try and cut off the funds so they can't pay for it.

The saddest part is that I still work for the very same company and can't leave because mine and my brother's money is what's supporting the family right now. I hate work so much. It also doesn't help that I've had to sacrifice £5000 in savings I was going to use to take a year travelling in Australia.

That's me ventilated.

My old man's taking them to tribunal, but it's a lengthy procedure and we're still poor until then. Luckily enough my cousin's working the case, so we don't have to pay extra on that. Otherwise there'd be no way we could afford it.
