<font color="purple"> I liked Spiderman, even thought it was slow! And I loved Daredevil, until I saw ben affleck. /forums/images/icons/smile.gif I don't hate him, but I just don't think he fit the character well. But, I am so waiting for the new punisher movie! It looks (from what I have seen) really good! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif And I am hoping the second spiderman will be good as well. </font color>

I think all of them were good, but for me to like the movies, and read the comics. They are kinda off in the movies. The main one i noticed was the hit movie Spider-Man.There were way too many mistakes in that mainly is Norman Osbourne. With him be comming the Green Goblin, because the Hob Goblin goes first, but ohtre then that all the Marvel movies are good, but I cant wait for the Fantastic Four movie in 2004...So there doing a good job with making comics movies......,
Dmoney

Hey Dmoney? How many stars are you giving the new Fantastic Four movie?

Of course he can't answer that because it had to be at least 2002 or earlier for him to answer that.

Hey Dmoney, I'm pretty sure the Green Goblin came first. The Hobgoblin was some bizarre re-incarnation of the GG or his son, sorry, it's been a while since I read "The Dark Book" from Wizard. . . . I'm such a geek.

X-Men 1 (boring and slow for the most part)
Spiderman (good, expect for Sam Rami (sorry Sam)
X-Men 2 (Good)
THe Hulk (The last half was bad, but the first part was...bad)

Upcoming
The Punisher (I think it will work)

why does everyone bust on the hulk? i thought it was a really superb movie...yeah its rewatch-a-bility is the suck...but still...its cinematography was amazing, how they did the multi-frame thing...i thought that was really comic-ish and fit the theme of the movie very well...oh well...you know what they say...opinions are like assholes...and my [censored] says that the hulk does not suck!

<font color="purple"> To be honest, if this spiderman isn't good )hopefully better than the first) then I will actually be upset. The first one was the introduction phase, now this one needs more action and hopefully more Tobey shirtless and some more James Franco. Seriously, Franco is one kick ass actor. See city by the sea. I haven't seen Hulk yet, but I was upset with the fact that they had the actual 'hulk' computer animated. Wasn't it in the series, it was the real guy!?

Also, for this punisher movie, i think it will be great. Love Thomas Jane (rocked in 61*) and John Travolta plays great bad guys! Who was in the 80s one? </font color>

I know a man who looks like Papa Smurf. It's kinda scary. Anyway, these threads are getting on my nerves, except for the Papa Smurf small talk. Why doesn't someone make a Smurf movie? Marvel's great, Marvel's good, yadda yadda. I love comics but I think the whole comic business is being exploited, so I'm not going to post again on the subject./forums/images/icons/mad.gif

<font color="purple">I don't know if I could imagine a smurf movie!? Who would play everyone!? Or would it be computer animated or animated? I don't know, but the cartoons are classic, and why ruin a good thing. </font color>

Marvel Comics Rock. The movies are the [censored]. So far other than a few minor details they have been solid. And i practically [censored] myself when i heard a Punisher movie was in the works. It was like a wet dream.

I've seen all the Marvel movies except for the earlier versions of The Fantastic Four, The Punisher, and Captain America. And overall I thought they were okay nothing too special but not even close to being bad. Movies do get a lot of facts wrong but I mean for people who haven't read the comics the movies would be super confusing (well maybe not super but still pretty confusing.) All in all I liked the movies.

[/ QUOTE ] I'll give James Franco this, it's not totally his fault that City By the Sea was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. In terms of writing (terrible), cinematography (so-so), editing (the worst I've EVER seen -- there are entire dialogue-driven scenes where it cuts back and forth between 1-shots of each actor exactly as they deliver dialogue; there is no overlapping, no 2-shots. Hideous.), and acting (again, so-so. Frances McDormand was key and she was vastly underutilized.), it was kind of like NyQuil only without the medicinal effects and neato buzz.....which just leaves the 3-day coma hangover.

<font color="purple"> I would love to meet a guy that looks like Papa Smurf, it wouldn't be my fantasy *lol*, but it would be hella cool to just meet him. Yes, nerd alert here. Does anyone remember Jem from the 80s??

Also, if this punisher sucks, I will so mad I wont watch another marvel comics movie adaptation again! Not even the next spiderman after that. *sigh* </font color>

Oh yeah, I remember Jem. I had a few of the dolls that went with the show. I can recall being very annoyed because they were taller than Barbies, and therefore looked like amazon woman. They never fit into the dream house or the Barbie vette properly either. My favorite one was the Jem doll with the black hair and the white stripe. She was sort of goth like. Hmmm...maybe that was wear my "experimental phase" in hair color was born from.

<font color="purple"> I never remembered the dolls. But, I remember the cartoon and how she like touched her ear ring and they turned into rockers. And I loved the purple hair. She rocked. I think I named my first hamster after the show. And I remember some of the lyrics to the song, but not the dolls. </font color>

<font color="purple">"We are the misfits, our songs are better, We are the misfits, the misfits and we're gonna get her." I think those are the lyrics for the theme. And if they aren't. I must have been freaked out and learned some wack out lyrics to some song. *sigh* </font color>

Aaaaahhh yes but Jem was "truly outrageous"!!

DangerSeeker

Those were the lyrics, and they spoke the truth. It was a statement of sheer quality. You can be as outrageous as you want, but if it doesn't make you better, somebody is gonna get you.
