I know, I know. Just waiting for the wife to have 3 hours to sit down and watch it with me. She'll kill me if I watch it without her, especially since I've waited this long.
By the by, A Beautiful Mind is a fine film as well...give it a look once you get the plastic off it. :)

The Descent
King Kong (Peter Jackson's effort)
'Thought the Decent was great fun. I found Kong to be the most depressing film I've ever seen. (not because its bad, just that you know whats going to happen in the end, and it just held this sombre tone for me throughout.)

Rashamon
Cool Hand Luke
There are many more, but those are entry level requirements for any "movie buff" right?

Shit, I have a ton of "those films" that I have yet to see. Nobody can watch everything.
I would encourage you to pick an afternoon soon and watch Citizen Kane though. It's every bit as good as everyone says.
The first day I bought it (I think I was 16) I watched it twice, back to back.

Halloween remake was ok. I like Rob Zombies eye for direction (for the most part). If you were a fan of the first Halloween or Devil's Rejects, you should watch it soon.
I was digging through my pile of DVDs and I found a shrinkwrapped copy of Donnie Darko Director's cut. I saw it in the theatre, but still...

I would have thought being a fan of the original would have been a reason not to watch the remake.

If you didn't like the original Halloween, why would you even watch the remake?
The remake was so-so. Rob Zombie should probably stick to music methinks.

In the hope that they would make a better job of it. Halloween was perfect though, so remaking it was an act of madness.

I saw the workprint for Halloween and it was a little shorter than the theatrical and there was some slightly different scenes, I didn't like the theatrical as much and both pale compared to the original. But both versions of the remake still earned bonus points for having Danielle Harris's boobage in them.

He should stick to his own work. Everything that he has written has been excellent. I've heard that his next movie, The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, is suppose to be the best one he's done.
