I was at the local Borders and picked up the Buffy Season 8 Comic, to my shock and awe, Buffy is now a Lesbain.

I dont mind per say, I just think it's alittle forced. Come on Joss Whedon, get it together

Joss Whedon has been constantly questioned about why so many of his characters and shows / writing work have a homosexual theme in parts.

When he was doing writing work for Mavel Comics (character names not being mentioned for spoiler reasons) he made a point of making certain characters homosexual. This had different reactions within and outside the comic world, many people pissed that so-and-so was / is / isn't gay, etc.

The same thing happened when Willow turned out to be gay in 'BTVS'. I think I remember a huge Christian Mothers of Blah campaign to have the show banned, as they weren't big fans of the theme of BTVS in the first place, only to have what they saw as a 'thumbs up' to being gay appear as well.

I agree with ZBarclay that Buffy in of herself isn't a lesbian. She simply was in a place and time where her loneliness and the advances of Satsu happened at a specific point in time, and, well, there ya go........

......... that, and Buffy says earlier in the series that she misses sex more than anything. So, yeah, she may have also just have been horny.

I think with Dawn being huge, well, honestly being typically Dawn and not saying anything to Buffy about anything (I actually think if Buffy asked her what she had for breakfast she'd have a big emotional speech about it's between her and her Coco-Pops), Willow being off and about, Xander being Xander and Giles off doing Watcher'ly things she's really really lonely, and Satsu showed and interest.

But true as hell, Satsu be da bad-ass.

Even in the TV series she was as irritating as hell. What's that? You're pissed of and emotional about something? Shocker. What's that? You've developed another pain in the bollocks psychological issue because of abandonment issues? No way! What's that? You've died in a big fire? Yay!

I think Joss was trying to get across all of the 'teenage issues' when he created Dawn, but didn't stop when he reached the line. Instead, he took a crap on it, and kept walking. Now I love Joss, but even I think he feckin' reaching with Dawn, and a couple of other things.

And Wesley Crusher should have been shot by Picard for his frankly disturbing man-crush and all around chirpiness.

Will Wheaton apparently meant to be a quite sound guy. This is the only reason he hasn't been hunted down by people with pitchforks.
I sat through Child's Play 3 praying to Jeebus that Chucky would knife him up something good. When it became apparent this wouldn't happen, I changed my prayers to that of his fellow actors, that they would find the sense to carve him a new acting hole.

True, the guy isn't Will Wheaton, but he looks like him enough to warrant death.
