BIG BOSS in Metal Gear Solid 3

Yes, much information and rumors prove that you will play as Big Boss in MGS3.(Who is the orignal super-soldier whose DNA was used to clone and create Solid Snake, Liquid Snake and Solidus Snake.) Many gamers are pissed off that they won't play as Solid Snake. For one, he is a bad-ass and two, 80% of the time we played MGS2, we were stuck with playing gayass-I love long, blonde air-Raiden.
For me it is not a problem. Big Boss is the original! I would suspect him to be just as a rebel as Snake would be.
Anyway, what are your thoughts?

I thought he was dead, didn't foxhound want his preseves in MGS after he got killed in MG2 (the second msx game.) I spose it wouldn't be too hard to do, just use solidus head, but even so it would prove better as a prequal chapter (set before most of the events of the series) and then continue after 2 with the patriots as Snake. I'll be happy whatever its MG, I even didn't mind playing as Raiden.

MGS3 will take place during the cold war period. This is obviously out of Solid Snake's time period. So the only playable figure would be Big Boss.

That whole big boss in the 60's thing is yet to be confirmed, I damn I'd still would like snake to be in it though, I spose young big boss rembles snake also but c`mon David Hayter kicks ass!!!!!!! Anyway They are remaking MGS for the gamecube, all the playability of 2 with the plot of one, I voice acting is being re-done but they are getting as many of the original voice cast as possible.

The remake tempts me to get a gamecube. I felt this way when the resident evil series went to gamecube as well. Why can't they f*cking do it for Playstation 2!!

when you say MGS3 do you mean Snake Eater? cuz it's a known fact that you play as Solid Snake. its still tactical espionage at its finest, and as far as Big Boss is concearned I seriously doubt solid snake even knows about his existance yet. Snake eater is supposed to take place before Shadow Moses.

...and what's wrong with Raiden? I thought he was a great addition to the game. Solid Snake's background is quite interesting, but to add another piece to the puzzle made it even more addictive. Rose was the part of Sons of Liberty I really didn't care for....the bitch discusses emotion at the most inconvenient times. A good waste of gametime.

Snake eater will take place in the 1960's, its not snake in the trailers its big boss, noticeable from the fact he has one eye missing, As already mentioned, Snake's resemblance is uncanny because he and his brothers were genetically made from Big Boss's DNA. And lastly. Solid snake wasn't even born in the era that MGS3 is set.
Since Snake Eater is set in those times, its likely that the metal gear is going to be a realistic weapon like a tank.
You'd probably be waiting some time for MGS4 to conclude the story regarding the patriots and olgas child, becuase this wont cover any of that.
