Meh, its drinkable straight, just a bit lame.

I usually can't remember what we said the day after recording, let alone this length.
Although, I would like to point out:
If people are worried about their stories getting used, DON'T PM IT TO ME.
Chances are if I read it in a pm I'll forget about it come show time. If you email it to cabinfeverradio@gmail.com you've a much higher chance of it making to air. It's purely due to my own goldfish memory but I thought I should mention it as I've been getting quite a few lately and have struggled to remember what Ive used and what I havent.

Cabin Fever 55: Therapy?
Our Cabin Dwellers grow more and more frustrated with their shoddy equipment and are forced to record under less than stellar circumstances. The stress and strain of the situation makes Aaron break down and spill about his first fight, his schoolboy crushes, and his mood swings, all under the watchful eye of Dr. Phit. Music is provided by Fake Like Me.

thanks ken for throwing up cabin fever #55
My what audio frothel (my word = froth from a prostitute's lubricated vg) Aaron and Phitzy have found?
They are truly cursed.

#55 was audio challenged but, still we're in it for the content, so always entertaining. thanks guys
"Yeah, get in that queue." - Aaron (quiped so nonchalantly and an awesome velvet hammer). I had to replay it a couple of times. damn funny. some day, somewhere, that is going to come in handy.
"blong!" you pronounciation of chinese name is utter blargh. But, seriously as far as china and child cruelty go it can get worse unfortunately. Elementary school kids in china occassionally have their schools explode because they were making fireworks to pay for their schoolbooks. And, for the last couple of years people in Xian were caught hanging out at schools and kidnapping the kids that don't use the bus......for slave labor in brick kilns. And it was a family business; mom, dad, sons, even friggin' grandma. Oh Oliver Twist funny! :( Seriously, a daily dose of news from china could fill a who podcast. and make you want to crawl into a bottle of hard liquor.
wow, primary school days by Aaron.....wait 'til that is a buck rogers distance away, right By-tor? I can't remember half of my school days.
Guys, guys, guys... you have to make a Tshirt that doesn't look like "oh, oh, oh, look I'm retro! I'm vintage!....fuglehump me!".
In fact I can't stand it any more. I'm putting in a request to anyone (but most likely Antonio Bay); if you can design a Punisher version of the Cabin Fever design....I will get it (http://www.brandhk.com/product.asp?brand=bhk&scid=109&pid=95)made on a black T-shirt and have cabin fever written on the sleeve. Hell, I'll have "Cabin Fever = AwesomeSauce" on the sleeve. I'll make 20, (keep at least 2) and send the rest to Phitzy. They can be used as prizes or christmas gifts; I don't care. What I do care about is a skull crushing "bad ass motherfucker" cabinfever tshirt. The time has come.

If it's an Apple, they put pretty decent on board mics in their product. (Which is a concession that even I, as a die hard PC user will make) The only draw back to that is that you have to do most sound adjustment post production, which can be pretty time consuming.
If youse guys go back to a mixing board, I'd recommend the Yamaha brand. I am really happy with mine, the software leaves a lot to be desired, but I am sure that you can use any software in conjunction with the board as long as it supports USB audio codecs and the drivers for the board.

Nah. I just have a co-host who can't seem to learn how to talk into a mic, so I have to keep adjusting his levels on the fly.

Good 'cast, yo. The sound quality was surprisingly good, but I'm assuming that's down to someone slaving away for hours over a hot Garage Band (or whatever youse guys use), tweaking the levels.
I enjoyed Aaron's lame fight story; it reminded me of when I was about 12 or 13 and I got into a 'fight' with a friend. We started off just arguing about something, then it descended into shoving and punching each other on the arms, at which point anger kicked in and we started trying to actually harm each other. Also at this point, other kids gathered round and started going "ooooohhhh!" and "hit him!" etc. Anyway, I found my self taking a big swing with my right hand in order to really clobber him one across the face, but mid-swing I thought "hang on, this guy is one of my best friends, we've known each other since we were 5, I don't really want to hurt him". So I opened my hand and slapped him instead of punching him. Unsurprisingly he just burst out laughing and so did the other kids watching. I was known as 'Slapper' for some time after.
I'm such a roughty-toughty. Just like Aaron. ;)
Oh, and hilariously bad luck on your travel adventure, Aaron.
And Brian mentioned me! Yay!

Cabin Fever 56: A Taste Of The Orient
The Cabin boys are joined by their loyal friends Shona and Bruce to help with a large and intimidating taste test of Chinese and Thai "delights". They announce the details of their video competition (or, at least, they tell you where you can get them), and once again they have to apologise for the crappy sound. It's becoming a habit.

My bad.....I should have put sticky labels on everything. I forget most people can't read the squigly lines on the package.
I've got to say, I was concerned initially that prawn crackers where a hump to get over. I thought those would be easy.
Nice! I got hot nuts in Shona's mouth and she couldn't handle them (but, phitzy could). Wasabi is the magic mustard used to make them 'hot'. I used them as packing foam for the box (hence there being so many).
Pork floss, I found out might have disintigrated slightly in transit due to the vibrations of the plane or something. My local Colleagues say it is usually shipped ground as it lasts a long time. Glad you found it as odd as I do. God only knows the process to get pork to this consistency.
I'm torn between agreeing with Bruce and Brian on their opinions. Eating in asia, I guess, is like being an S&M freak. You know what your doing is bad, but you like it. I'm starting to wonder if asian snacks are physically designed to make you drink beer.
I'm sorry..............I lied. The seaweed......well, it's seaweed. how could it really taste great? But, in all fairness, I am a complete bastard. Dried seaweed snacks however are considered a solid bar snack in several different incarnations (one of which I might send in another care package...for Korea snacks..hmm,hmm,hmm), aaaaannd apparently seaweed is very good at keeping hangovers at bay.
Try the coconut chips again when you've not been around the other items. They will taste even better. They are nice and amazingly all natural.
Good luck with the booze.....seriously.....good luck. Use small shot glasses.
Ohh and those Zany Japanese!
Here's a good article for the next episode while you are drinking.

Here's an article for you guys: Fake eggs. (http://www.weirdasianews.com/2007/05/04/chinas-10-steps-to-make-a-fake-egg/)
Recently, there has been a spat of fake eggs in china. They only cost about 1 to 5 HK cents to make compared with 25 to 30 cents for a real egg. as unbelievable as this many sound; it's an actual probelm in china.

Cabin Fever 57: Widge Is Of Madison County
Brian couldn't pull himself from the brink of death in time this week to record the best darn podcast fake money can buy, so Aaron recruits internet entrepreneur and man-about-town Widgett Walls to add a certain level of class and random knowledge to the proceedings. Topics of getting TV wrong, 12-year-old fathers, and kissing bans are all broached with gusto, and Aaron actually remembers to include the song at the end of the show this week, too! So thanks to yaG Backwards for their patience.

Cabin Fever 59: Inappropriate Ridin'
This week, our cabin dwellers discuss all the colours of the sexual rainbow. Thanks to our dirty-minded listeners, no kinky stone is left unturned. Be it bad medical advice, inappropriate touching, or badly thought out bicycle design; all topics are generously splashed with dollops of Au De No-Pants-Dance. Music is by Caleb Lee, with his top-tapper, "You’re Here".

In regards to your opening question...
Yeah, G.I. Joe started off as a series of dolls before the 80's real American Hero(with Snake Eyes and Duke and them). The Joes originated the famous "Kung Fu Grip" action feature.
Action Man was the UK version.

Just in from Watchmen. Its amazing. I'm a fanboy so my opinion is tainted, but I loved every minute of it. Silk Spectre II's acting ain't great but she makes up for it in other ways. Gonna do huge business too, $90M in this economy is no easy feat.
EDITED: 3/9/09
Jebus I was way off on that estimate. I guess everyone who wanted to see it was at the 12:01 show opening night.

Just listened to the cast, it made an excellent end to an excellent evening. I knew you guys would love that bike website the second I saw it. Your initial reactions to it were priceless, and made the time I spent crawling the bowels of the internet totally worthwhile.

'Round these parts, every American is a yank. It's not north/south specific.

It would be the difference between a Yank and a Yankee. You know, just like the song Over There....
Over There
Over There
Send the word
Send the word
To Beware
'Cause the Yanks are comin'
The Yanks are coming
And we won't come back 'till it's over
Over There
It's what our troops sang when we finally decided to go to WWII.

Naw, that's just Texas. In Mississippi we never gave a shit. But Texans don't even like to admit they are part of America.

Going to try to be more active here, now that I'm getting back into the flow of things.
It's terribly ironic that as soon as I catch up with the show and suggest becoming more active, my computer breaks... But I've got a new one now, so let's try this again.
Unfortunately I have to catch up again.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, I was bored last night and flicking through the digital radio stations on Sky, and came across the Irish language RTE channel. What I presume was an advert came on, where some guy was doing various 'zany' voices in Irish, and for some reason it made me giggle when he read out a web address. To my English ears it sounded like
Wuh wuh wuh pnk RTE pnk ei slash [crazy moonspeak gibberish]
Don't know why I found this funny. I just did... "Wuh wuh wuh pnk" Heh he heh. Ahem.

Texas is not the south. Texas is Texas. You're lucky By-tor hasn't come over. (There'd be a pointy boot in your Keister for getting your mouth ahead of your belt buckle).
Regardless, Rednecks are inbreds that seem to hold on to the remants of their slavery day pride in "hatin' dem damn Yanh-keeys!" Banjo playin' 3 toothed racist inbred Johnny Rebs.
And on top of that, the rest of the friggin' world has adopted using "Yankee" in the derogatory. I don't live in the US of A, so I've had that word spat at me walking down the street minding my own business on more than one occassion. And on more than one occassion I've turned around and put the word back in their throat along with some of their own teeth. Every generation of my family since they landed on US soil has fought for that flag.
I'd say anyone posting here that takes pride in calling northerners, "Yankees" remember they are sharing the same word with some flag burning asshole in a foreign land. Kike, Limey, Kraut, Spic, Chink, Gook, Sweaty, Nigger, Yankee. That's were is fits in for me after being outside of the US for 14 years.

As a Kentuckian, I can completely vouch for this statement. They still very much exist. :(

But they exist everywhere. I knew them in Maine. I see them here in Oregon. I have even met one or two from Canada. I know I am a little over-sensitive to the term having grown up in Mississippi, but they are a global phenomenon.

Using Jeff Foxworth's way of identifying rednecks, I would agree.
