For those of you who have seen both the Hulk and the League...
Which battle scenes did you like more? Battles with the Hulk or battles with Mr. Hyde. I felt Hulk was lacking a major villain. Sure, he had the Hulk Dogs...but really...are those considered villains? He needed someone as strong as him, if not stronger. Also, was anyone else mad that Hulk never said "Hulk Smash"...practically the only thing he says in the comics...aside from "puny human". As for Mr. Hyde...he had the guy that drank too much of his potion. That was an impressive battle...two giant behemoths bashing each other to pieces. Do you guys have any opinions on the matter?

I thought Hyde kicked ass! The HULK just plain sucked! LXG was like 10 times the movie that HULK wasn't. At least the people in LXG could act. And they didn't over do Hyde like they did HULK... HULK was very fake looking and Hyde, well, HYde had a realistic quality to him. Hyde also had a personality.
I just think that the team the did LXG should give a few pointers to the HULK team. The HULK is just a huge scam to get peoples money buy getting them to see the movie and then buying all the toys and games. HULK sux.

...are you an idiot?...because A. the hulk was not overdone...Mr. Hyde was the one overdone...in the novel he didnt gain too much muscle...but mostly went insane...and B. in the comic book the hulk really didnt have a "major enemy" as you say, so why would he have one in the movie? he had no personality because he was a huge beast filled with blind rage...there is no room for personality in that!the acting in the hulk was nowhere near supreme...but it was not horrible...the movie was mostly drama, not unlike the comics, and in making comic movies, the main focus is to stick as close as possible to the comic...and the end battle of the hulk i would say fits your descripton of a behemoth battle....i would call the Leauge Average-to-Good at best...the hulk was a much better movie

It's really refreshing to see somebody with less than 10 posts be coherent. Kudos to ELPARKINO.

So you're telling me that Hulk never had major villains...He had 3 major villains...Abomination, the Leader and the U.S. Military...he needed someone like Abom to fight, whom is as strong as the Hulk (at least early on in the fight)...there was no massive fight, as would be expected in a movie with a beast like the Hulk in it...the movie was pathetic. So I have no idea what ur talking about... no "major enemies". You apparently don't read the comics...because he has major villains. Maybe you should do some research before you start something you can't finish.

Why does the movie need a major villain? So that it can be a conventional comicbook/action movie? I like the unconventional. I really liked The Hulk.

The movie needs a major villain because it's the HULK. Hulk has little to no story to it...and they turned it into 2 hours of Drama that doesn't go with the hulk...and 20 minutes of fightning, which is ALL the Hulk does. If they were to make a comicbook movie dramatic...X-Men...Spiderman...virtually anything but the Hulk. Just my opinion though...and thank you for voicing yours...
I hope I don't come off pushy...it just seems people jumped to attack me on this topic...self defense..

I think I'll be boycotting this movie since I've never been too strong (no pun intended) a fan of the hulk. As Matt said he did have some major enemies, and those who think otherwise should read the comics 101 article on him from a few weeks back.

I didn't see it coming when Bruce Banner's father ate the electrical cord and turned into a life supply of energy that could power Las Vegas. That battle between him and THE HULK was kick-ass! Mr.Hyde is just a guy that can drink a potion and turn into a giant muscle. The Hulk gets pissed and turns big and green. You take his seat on the bus, and he will bitch slap you back to your motherland!
HULK FOREVER!!
