I think there going way to far with these stupid movies. Most of them are good, in fact, ive liked them all. Except HULK, IT SUCKED! i didnt like lxg either, but im not sure that classifys as one. I think they should start making new movies, not just comic book movies and sequels. Thats all they make now. And i hear there making a "batman vs. superman" movie. That sounds stupid.

Which column was this referring to, again? I figure you must have posted it here for a reason; otherwise, you would have put it in our Off-Topic column intended for posts filled with bad spelling, wrong verb tenses and general illiteracy.

"I think there going way to far with these stupid movies."

There, there...

"Most of them are good, in fact, ive liked them all. Except HULK, IT SUCKED! i didnt like lxg either, but im not sure that classifys as one."

I don't think it does. After all, to count as a comic book movie, it would have first had to have been a comic book. Oh, wait...well, the important thing is that you've liked all the movies. Except for Hulk. And LXG. But otherwise, all of them. If you were born when Tank Girl came out, I wonder if you would've liked that one.

"I think they should start making new movies, not just comic book movies and sequels."

Yeah, how dare Hollywood only make old movies? I hate movies like 28 Days Later, Pirates of the Caribbean, Finding the Friedmans and all those other old comic book movies. We need to get back to the days of great movies like Van Wilder.

"Thats all they make now. And i hear there making a "batman vs. superman" movie. That sounds stupid."

See, I think that sounds fine. I think using "their" and "there" and "they're" incorrectly sounds stupid, but we each respond to different stimuli.

I can't wait until school starts in September...

Chris you kill me, I dont think I've seen sarcasm so sharp and quickly addressed, that had me laughing hard. Moving along, I`d say about half comic based films dont quite hit the right spot (daredevil for example) but some of them are still enjoyable if ur willing to sacrifice a few quirps (how come Zod can levetate a person with his hand but superman can't?). And for our friend, batman Vs Superman would be based on a comic storyline in which bruce fakes his own death so if u were expecting fisticuffs, that would just be plain stupid.

There are romurs floating around that they will make a Silver Surfer movie and a Green Lantern movie (seperatley of course.) But they are stuck in development hell. If they came out I would be first in line to see them. Well, not really first. More like last in line on the second weekend of release, on sunday.

I read they want to get Scott Baio to play Rocket Raccoon. He was ready to sign before he got pink eye.

The thing about Silver Surfer is that Vin Diesel reeaaaaaaally wants to play the part, I've read. Personally, I think the man is an anus. When I told that bit of info to the ITS guy at work, he blurted out my new favorite real life quote.
"Vin Diesel can't be the Silver Surfer. Silver Surfer was a genius and Vin Diesel is a dumbass. The Silver Surfer was the [censored] herald of Galactus!!"
Now all of my friends have become "the [censored] herald of Galactus."

i agree that they are trying too hard with these comic book movies, they all seem to be going for the blockbuster movie with special effects and big explosions. Instead of staying true to the comics roots and the main storylines from the comic books. Out of all of the movies released the only one which i believed followed the original comic strip and at the same time was entertaining was spiderman, and i look forward to the sequal. i havent seen hulk yet, does anyone recomende it?, or is it [censored] like ive been told by others!.

IS THIS REALLY TRUE?, SURELY NO DIRECTOR WOULD HAND VIN DIESEL THE PART OF SOLVER SURFER!!!!!!!!. HES A GOOD ENOUGH ACTOR IN FILMS LIKE A MAN APART AND FAST AND THE FURIOUS BLOWING [censored] UP BUT FLYING AROUND THE GALAXY DRESSED IN SILVER, HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, about The Hulk...I don't often suggest movies unless I know a person's taste in movies or what they might want to get out of it. Personally, I loved The Hulk.

About Silver Surfer, I was only saying that Vin Diesel really wants the part himself. That's not to say anyone is actually looking at him to play it. I think if someone actually casts him as Silver Surfer, that person should be casting Chuck Norris movies the rest of their career.

Silver Surfer would be an awsome movie. I think that Vin Diesel would NOT make a good silver surfer though. I think that Ashton Kutcher might make a good one.

There, are you happy Ryall? I spelt everything right.

but the thing is, i dont give a [censored] how i type things because i dont want to waste the precious 15-30 seconds that it would take me to spell rite. So dont nag on me just because you have some problem with having to be a perfect [censored].

Is that a new word? Shall I reopen the hiphoptionary on this very special occasion?

I had trouble sleeping the other night, but then I watched the Hulk movie again, and it put me right to sleep. /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif This movie is also good for inducing vomiting on command!

I'm sorry. If you liked the Hulk, good for you. I didn't, and I'm pissed. I was personally disappointed in the film, and the fact that someone like Ang Lee, who could make something as good as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, could churn out a piece of crap like this. Biggest problem was length; 2 hours would have been plenty. Next was plot: the whole Nick Nolte character was overwrought and overused. I could've done without the jealous old boyfriend, too. Finally, visual FX. Made me long for the days of Lou Ferigno moving in slo mo (or was that how fast he actually moved?). X-Men (both), Blade (both), Spiderman, and even Daredevil were all superior!

Anyway, as for adaptations I'd like to see, Silver Surfer would be a good one. Fantastic Four, even better. Ghost Rider, Iron Man, Wonder Woman, all good. Also would like to see Venom pop up in the Spiderman franchise, as well as a cameo by Todd McFarlane (sorry to all you Spawn fans out there; Spawn's great, but Spidey is the character that he was born to draw!) /forums/images/icons/cool.gif

My 2 cents.

The thing I don't understand is how in THEEE hell Ghost Rider is going to be PG-13. I grabbed one of my GR books at random the other day and not only did it explicitly show the bloody, head-melting transformation into the Spirit of Vengeance, but it showed a cranium getting caved in by a brick and a face getting slashed with a broken bottle. Speaing of which..."Spirit of Vengeance," people! Pansy = PG-13, Spirit of Vengeance = NC-17.

Ok, I want to take a second to rant here. All of you who complain about the new generation of FX and CGI lose your right to have opinions. The CGI in The Hulk is top notch in the field right now. What are you expecting -- scientists to actually genetically mutate a human into a 15 ft tall, green monster? Are you the same people who complain the water buffalo slaughter at the end of Apocalypse Now looks too fake? It's funny to make fun of but when it comes to serious criticism, the photorealistic-style computer imagery in The Hulk is as kickass as it gets. I wonder how many people complained this way about Tron or Star Wars?

Hulk sucks ass, the only good comic book movies are Dare Devil and spiderman. There will be others like catwomen and the punisher. That will be successful. and a spiderman seqeul wouldnt work! they will just use another episode from the cartoon.

u made me miss, i never miss - Bullseye in Dare Devil

Omaru

Daredevil was not good. in my standards of films based on comics it was about average with Superman III, batman forever and the punisher. Better comic - films were spiderman, blade 1&2 and mystery men. I cant comment on hulk or LXG as I havent seen them.

I have actually seen more than two movies. Unfortunately, one of them was the Hulk.

I think I have to agree with Omaru though. The only decent comic book movies I have seen are Spiderman and the Blade movies.

Wow, the level of discourse in this poorly placed thread...he says comic movies suck, you say the Hulk was the gayest, Spawn is down there shouting incoherently...might be time to close this one.

Incidentally, I'd suggest you use the word "stupid" around here instead of "gay." Unless you mean "merry," the next time you use the word "gay," it better be surrounded by "Marcia" and "Harden" or you're gonna be asked to leave for good. Well, not so much asked.

The funny part is, the dumbass still hits the shift key on the first letter in the sentence. This gives him a small letter while all the rest are caps. Kind of makes you wonder at just how low his IQ really is. I am guess at about 60-80. Afterall, he can't be a complete moron as he can at leat type.
