Good times :)

I went with On the couch, in front of the TV, with a glass of champagne and my sweetie.
...except I was in my chair, in front of my laptop, with a half glass of Mr. Pep...and I currently have no sweetie.

Yep, it was the couch for the wife and I. We live about 15 miles out of town, and I ain't into dodging the drunks drunker than me out on the road on New Years. The wife was snoozing in her love seat in front of the fireplace while I watched the tube. Woke her up a midnite. We said "Happy New Year", and she went back to sleep. Hoo-fuckin'-ray for middle age. :(

I'm still trying to find the joker who replaced my pillow with a PS3... My neck is killing me, and I think I drooled into the disc slot.

Uggh @ this thread.
Now I have that song from High School Musical stuck in my head...
"It's out with the old, and in with the new.
Goodbye clouds of grey,
hello skies of blue.
A dip in the pool,
a trip to the spa,
endless in the shade...
the whole world according to moi!!!!!"
Grr!

I sat in my room drinking vodka and listening to loud music, followed by heading downstairs at 11:55 to countdown with my mother, walked her friend back home safely and then came back home to force myself sick (instead of have that uncertain feeling of not knowing if I'm gonna be or not) jumped into bed, and woke up 3 hours later for some rare early morning IRC session

Went to a party at a friends house. Why wasn't that an option to vote for? It's like partying at a bar, except the drinks are much cheaper and no one shoves you out the front door when you pass out. Unless you had it coming. ;)
Went out on the town( in Hong Kong). 2 major advantages here.
1. You never have to drive because theres never too far to go and always a bus or cab (cars and parking lots are too expensive anyways).
2. Most bars never close. Rents too high to close and there is always people out.
Lots of places to ring in the new year. I stayed out of the major places as they are insanely crowded (LanKwaiFong, TimesSquare, Waterfront, etc)
Walked into a bar called "Peak Cafe" along the escalator in Central. It was 4 p.m. and I met up with a few folks before we all head our seperate ways for the evening. 4 vodka tonics later, was on a ferry boat with a double vodka tonic (and buddy with same) heading to a place called Discovery Bay for some live music and more booze.
We had a group of about 20 or 30 standing around. My buddy and I barreled through 2 bottles of Belvedere Vodka (mixed with either cranjuice or redbull) before the countdown. Got home around 4 or 5 a.m. I think. Wasn't the last too leave either. Saw kids still up and running around (or where they leprechauns).
Woke up the next day at 9 a.m. and headed over to the other side of town to a New Year's Day lunch party. I think about 7 or 8 p.m. that night I finally stopped seeing the alcohol fumes coming out of my eyes.
Now, before you guys crap all over me, just remember I would probably be on the couch just like everyone else had I not been living in such a party town. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

I also went with On the couch, in front of the TV, with a glass of champagne and my sweetie, because it was pretty close to this...
On the couch, in front of the TV, with a glass of juice, and killing a lot of people on my X-box 360 while playing "Saints Row"

I couldn't vote because you didn't include "covered in baby puke and pumping tylenol into your feverish kid". Happy parental New Year.

I mouthed the countdown as a friend was complaining about the missing portion of Chicken balls in our food order. Cue streamers.
