I have family moving down to the Savannah area and some of you sound like you are either from there or are currently living there. If you have any recommendations on cable or internet companies, phone providers, strip clubs, bars, restaurants, ANYTHING, please post your wise and experienced opinions.
I'm in Dallas- west of Atlanta. I use Comcast for cable, but am looking into DirectTv. Don't have a landline- just use a cell (Verizon) And I hear The Pink Pony is a good TnA/Sports bar...
Other than that, I'm pretty much a stay at home kind of guy. Haven't been to Savannah yet. Planning a trip on the bike once it's running again...
Georgia's nice. Been here four years (in Feb) It ain't Texas, but it's close...
I grew up in Macon, which is between the ATL and Savannah. I suspect you will have Cox cable out that way. I can't tell you much, only that the Georgia coast is a nice place, and Savannah in particular is a beautiful historic town. Not too far from Hilton Head and Charleston in SC, and it has a slamming St. Patty's day party.
Georgia's pretty cool, i look forward to seeing how you adapt.

I second Dave's opinion on the St. Paddy's Day in Savannah. One of my best road trips ever.
I have been River-faced on Shit-street.
