Ok, is anyone else a fan of Cameron Crowe and deathly afraid of this?

Why him? There are so many fine young actors today who have proven their craft. The only role I have seen Ashton play is Kelso. I did not see Just Married, but I seriously doubt it would convince me of anything.

His publicist must be doing some very good work.

Agreed. I read a Rolling Stone article about him and it sounds like he really his a hard worker. Mainly, I think they got it right in the MPS Movie News headline; he's overexposed [for underachievement]. It's all my personal opinion.
I've always regarded Cameron Crowe as a guy of extraordinary taste and this Dunst/Kutcher pairing comes as both a suprise and pseudo-letdown.

Is he still set to be in M. Nights next movie, "Woodlands" I believe it is called, although, I have been wrong in the past.

I haven't kept up on the casting of Night's new movie. All I know is that it takes place in the woods. It will be scary regardless if Kelso's in it or not. Now whether Elizabethtown will be both dramatic and funny with Kelso...

I hate to be the little ray of sunshine here, but...
Judging from what I've heard about the screenplay (from those who claim to have actually read it) the casting choices so far, Jane Fonda included, are perfect. Which makes me worried more about the story than the casting, my love of Crowe's work, notwithstanding.

[/ QUOTE ] Right, I think that's part of what I was trying to say. I honestly hope I'm wrong. Then again, I know nothing about the screenplay or plot. I appreciate Cameron Crowe's work because it's cool by being not...cool. Does that make sense? It just seems like casting Kirsten Dunst and Ashton Kutcher was a move toward the "cool." Maybe it's appropriate -- no idea.

I'll probably see it regardless, Kirsten I hink she could do a decent job of her role, And maybe Ashton might do a decent job at a new role instead of being typecast as some halfwit for once. If that happens, what next? we might see Dustin Diamond to star in a romantic comedy /forums/images/icons/tongue.gif
