I think that they should make a new Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie. Not like that peice of [censored] starring Kristy Swanson, I mean one starring the one and only Sarah Michelle Gellar, I mean, don't you think she earned it?

Hell yeah Bitch! Buffy is like the best series ever made (although it would be so much better if Sarah michelle gellar got naked every once and a while). And what the [censored] is with them ending the series!?

Well, when the ratings drop like the atom bomb in Hiroshima, you have to kill the show.

I never really watched Buffy, I just never had the time. One thing I do know about Buffy is that almost 100% of the Philosophy Professor's at The University of Manitoba watched and loved Buffy. And they were some intelligent people.

I would hush any allusions to Buffy being some kind of cerebral TV show. It was about vampires, action and quality, tig ol' bitties. Perhaps the Philosophy profs at your college were 100% healthy, heterosexual males?

I'm not 100% sure about the health of some of my professors, some of them were really old. I also had some healthy female professors who loved the show. I never watched it, I just found it odd that a show about all of the things you listed was so loved by people way out of the targeted demographic.

Yeah, it's interesting and odd. I had a couple professors who loved The Osbournes and I know a lot of white-collar type men and women who can spout Eminem on command.

I'm Catholic and can spout a lot of Marilyn Manson.

The ratings, while not as high as they had been on the WB, remained fairly constant. The decision to end the show came from Joss, due in part both to the feeling that it's better to go out at the top of your game and Sarah Michelle's decision to leave the show.

I don't think that a new Buffy movie is a good idea. The strengths of the show like well-crafted characters, unfolding story arcs, and witty dialouge wouldn't really lend themselves to a 2-hour action movie. It made it's mark on television, and there it should stay.

And Buffy was way more then "titties and killin' vampires." Anyone here familiar with the word subtext? Allegory? Sigh.

Buffy? Buffy who? I paid more attention to the show when Faith was on it. She was such a slut. /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif

I think Buffy was the best show in the world but I highly doubt Sarah Michelle Gellar would agree to doing a movie... but I look forward to seeing her doing crossovers on Angel next season and have some of the characters join Angel..thats gonna be cool...
