hey, i heard a while ago that if Jason Mewes stayed sober for 5 years, Kevin Smith would grace us with another Jay and Silent Bob movie.

is this true?! i own every Kevin Smith movie and would love for a new one dedicated to the two famous characters.

Yeah. He said that he would make another one, not sure if Jay stayed sober for 5 years exactly, but when he said that, it turned into Clerks 2. So your wish was already granted.

During press for Clerks 2, Smith briefly discussed the possibility of a Clerks 3. Stating that "if there's ever gonna be a Clerks 3, it would be somewhere down the road in my 40s or 50s, when it might be interesting to check back in on Dante and Randal. But I don't know about Jay and Bob so much, cause at 45, leaning on a wall in front of a convenience store might be a little sad." [9] Smith has also jokingly talked about "Clerks 3: In Space."
