I want to hear some of the music being played in the small town clubs. These I think are the bands of the future. Here is one of ours:

They are kinda hard rock but I like them live and they are realing starting to do some big things in midwestern United States.
Enjoy!

These are hometown boys, the song 'Zombies ate my Neighbors' is on regular rotation (it is not the first song that pops up with the link).
Fun and a bit irreverent, give it a quick listen: Single File (http://www.myspace.com/singlefile)

That completely rocked with awesomeness. I would like to hear By-Tors band on here. Has anyone heard them before and if not give a shout out By-tor.

Bytor can toot his own horn (at least that is the word on the street). He has posted his music, and it is in the music section. Ask Unca to move this thread over there and you might get some more people to answer.

You listened to that? Ugh...I need to get a better recording of that up otherthan that demo..i sound awfully like a 14 year old kid on that...
plus, i need to redo some of the lyrics to reflect ALL the seasons, not just midway through 4...

A few of the bands from around here my ears have been assaulted by.
Stitch Rivet (http://www.myspace.com/stitchrivet)
Prisoners of War (http://www.myspace.com/powky)
Quota of Life (http://www.myspace.com/quotaoflife)
As you can see none of them can think of a good name much less produce decent music.

living in vancouver, a lot of the local bands are actually quite well known. some of my personal faves are:
ladyhawk (http://www.myspace.com/ladyhawk)
bend sinister (http://www.myspace.com/bendsinistervancouver)
mongoose (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=5982756)
the doers (http://www.myspace.com/thedoers)
ghost house (http://www.myspace.com/ghosthouseband)
operastrike (http://www.myspace.com/operastrike)
and my very good friends,
castle grey skull (http://www.myspace.com/castlegreyskullband)
i lived in edmonton for a while, and these are a few of my favourite bands from there.
the wet secrets (http://www.myspace.com/wetsecrets)
portraits (http://www.myspace.com/theportraits)
red hot daggers (http://www.myspace.com/redhotdaggers)
there are very few bands in my ACTUAL hometown of fort mcmurray. but two are still kicking and doing well. both are really great friends of mine.
desiderata (http://www.myspace.com/desiderata) [they actually got signed last year]
abandin all hope (http://www.myspace.com/abandinallhope)
their song "lasso" is about how fucking horrible fort mcmurray is.
