Creedence. And no people it is not Creedence Clearwater Revival that was an album. I still have some Creedence and Hendrix on my i-pod for my workout. Nothing is better then some Traveling band to get that booty going. lol

Oh yeah! I remember back in the day...we would get together, throw on some Abba, pop open some brewski's and rock all night long. Some of the guys would try to bring over that nasty ass disco shit like KISS, Black Sabbath, etc, but we quickly told them to leave as they were just trying to kill the buzz.

No, the name of the band was in fact Creedence Clearwater Revival. Their first album was named for the band. They came up with the name after signing their first record deal. They were called the Golliwogs. I believe Creedence was the name of a friend, they took 'clearwater' from a beer commercial, and 'revival' was a reference to the band member getting out of the service and reuniting.

Fuggin' kids...

In fact, you know how cool or lame a record store is when the Creedence records are under a tab labeled "CCR."

Usually defining the 'greatest' would require you to pick one, and the right answer would be Led Zeppelin.

If Primus is considered rock, then you sir, are wrong. :D

Primus isn't even close to being half as amazing as Zeppelin. Zep is #1, Brock Sampson says so.

Speaking of Zeppy and Tool....This (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=50243477&MyToken=3fd7d202-e7b7-4875-8c16-bf778e84e492) is a great Zeppy cover by Tool. It fastly is becoming one of my favorite songs. It is from Tool's live album, Salival.

Without Zepp, Primus would sound a bunch different, they were a keystone influence on the band. One of cooler things I have witnessed was Les doing a rendition of Kashmir on his standup bass.

Anyways 'Primus sucks' :)

How do you guys get so confused?

Neil Young and Crazy Horse (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Grok0EXtX5k) are the Greatest and worst rock band ever.

I know, I know... I was just trying to start a cat fight.

I'm bored.

My brother-in-law has a copy of that rendition. Tis good.

Just curious, but anyone else notice that these topics always end up, 'if it weren't for this band such and such band wouldn't....'
Is it possible for us to appreciate the beautiful flowers instead of digging up the roots all the time? Don't get me wrong, I understand that it's good to give credit where due, but just once in a while it'd be nice to pretend that other bands can be considered for such a title.
It makes me ponder, how different would the music created today be, if Primus and their sound had come first?
