Hmm, right now I'm listening to a techno mix cd. Currently playing is a techno version of the KnightRider theme song. Pretty neat, not sure who did the mix, someone gave this cd to a friend of mine and didn't put the names of songs and stuff on it.

I just heard Heart of Rock 'n' Roll but only as top of the hour bump music for The Church of the Painful Truth (Neal Boortz)

Other than bump music, I don't listen to or hear a lot of music anymore.

clear that up for meYeah, you got the CD so you can hear some of the songs not on our myspace. Pretty catchy stuff, if I might be so bold ;) . Anyway it started out as just "tastydactyls", but with time, and fantalk, it has become "the tastydactyls". Or, "tasty", or "the tastys". As long as people are saying something close, we are down with it.

Let's get back on topic people!

Ok, I am listening to... Wish You Were Here by Incubus. This song unfortunately makes me think of something I am trying to... somewhat forget. However, I do love the song so I have to listen to it until it no longer makes me associate it with something... else.

If a fellow Kiss fan recommends it, then I guess I must.:D It may be a little while, though. I still have a shitload of CDs leftover from the holidays to listen to. Plus I'll have to listen to Creatures of the Night a couple more times, because it rocks. Hell, all I listen to now is The Darkness.

According to Wikipedia, they only pressed 25 vinyls of the album, then distributed them to key fans and radio stations so they could purposely be bootlegged, as a final way to give the finger to the archaic recording industry.

Seether - Fake It. Pretty catchy song. I'm not going to buy the CD for the one song, though (which I unfortunately did for Remedy on Karma and Effect, big mistake). I seem to like a few Seether songs here and there (some of them get stuck in my head, plus they're decent bad day songs), but I don't think I'll ever be able to enjoy a full album of theirs.

I've listened to a bit of the Arctic Monkeys. They do have their own vibe, but their sound is standard indie rock. Their songs range from Strokes/Stripes-esque songs to more Wilco-like mellow ballads and the occasional experimental track. I'm not crazy about them, but I do like that they can play the heavy stuff just as well as the light stuff and everything inbetween.

Both awesome songs. On my first listen to the album, as soon as Dashboard hit, I was already in complete awe.

Right now, I'm really digging Steam Engenius and the following track Spitting Venom. The one track just flows perfectly into the other, creating 12 straight minutes of listening bliss. Yeah, Montgomery Alabama was really big for either Country, Rap, or Classic Rock and nothing else for the 6 years I was there. I have now been in Alamogordo, NM for just over 7 years and we only have gospel, country, classic rock, and a sometimes rap radio stations here. I can receive a metal station out of El Paso, TX on a clear day and a good alt/metal station from NMSU down in Las Cruces, NM, but they would never play anything like Placebo.

I actually hadn't heard of Placebo until the Air Force deployed me to Italy back in '98 and I saw a video of theirs on TV. I think it was "Pure Morning".

Christy Moore - Welcome to the Cabaret.

From the Live at the point C.D.

Do yourselves a favour and pick it up. One of the best gigs you're ever gonna hear from the emerad isle.
