Anyone come up with any new resolutions this year, or do you have the same one you had last year? My resolution last year was to quit smoking. My resolution this year.....to cut down on smoking.

I still have 37mins and 13 seconds until new year, but I have spent the last few months getting to know you guys.
I am a person of few words, but I resolve to post here more often. How is that? Someone who spends a little time getting to know the community before he forces himself in......
Anyway.
This is a rebuilding year for the vikings.........
Have a great year all!

You have good grammar and seem intelligent, so I look forward to seeing you posting more often. :D I know this is a strange one, but I resolve to slow down my life. I don't quite know how to do it, but I have to, because shit's going way too fast.

My resolution is to better my life... find a job that fits my education and goals in life... and to learn to stop making people I care about pay for the actions of those who have mistreated me.
I think 2007 is my year to kick some serious arse and stop being such a fucked up bitch who constantly pushes people away.
Oh, and to get into better shape. Dear lord, I should have made that my #1 resolution.

Your answer young padawan is very simple.......
Eat more McDonalds and Ice Cream. Bound to slow you down!
P.S. I try to always post in proper spelling and grammar, unless alcohol is involved, which it is tonight.
Please forgive any errors I missed!
Common Courtesy says to do be as intelligent as you can for the moment!

So, from my last months lurking around here and observing the banter, would it be safe to say you and Acid-Coke are actually friends? (If not lovers?)

I don't really make resolutions - too easy to break - but I do have goals that I want to achieve each year. This year the main one is to lose about 20kgs and get back into my exercise program.

To take over the world and rule with an iron fist
I made a couple last night night- one was to finish things I start. I've got pieces of manuscripts all over the damn place. I've bought all kinds of cameras and they're collecting dust. A few days ago, I dreamed up this guy...

...and I guess my big resolution is to follow through with my plans for him.
The past few weeks I've been reflecting upon my life and I've been wondering if I'm doing what I was meant to be doing. Heavy shit, I know. The little row I had online with some asshats back home in Texas made me think about what kind of a swath I'm cutting through life and how people remember me and what they think of me. I've never really cared before, but for some reason it bugged me that the people I was professionally associated with back home think of me as a dickhead and a blowhard and an angry, misanthropic cocksmoker (their words, not mine.) Maybe I'm giving too much credence to some clown-shooes posting on a hack blog, but it made me think about what I am doing with my life.
"Grandpa? What did you do for a living?"
"I watched TV all fucking day, now get me some more twinkies ya little bastard. I'm feeling thin," as I pat my bulging stomach and strain to pick up the remote.
Yeah, that's not at all where I want to wind up.

I wrote these on the 27th.
1) I will exercise more (pending)
2) I will clean my room and maintain cleanliness, failing that I will clean it quarterly. (check I spent yesterday cleaning it)
3) I will be pure and chaste (which basically means wiping my comp of all porn, hasta luego Avy Lee Roth)
4) I'll give up fizzy drinks completely and stick to water/fruit juices.
5) I will brush my teeth and apply mouth wash at least once a day.
6) Give up chocolate (pending)
7) No more Alcohol (today doesn't count as it's still in my system from last night)
8) Go to bed at a time where I get at least 7 hours sleep (do this tonight)
9) Will try to be an all around better person (the one I will probably break)

That's kinda of like studying a pool of sharks, estimating what kind of dive into the pool won't piss 'em off. I've always been a cannonball kinda person myself. Where a precise calculation and a precise dive might work for some people, I find it's more fun jumping right in, mixin' it up a bit, and having fun with the pissed off sharks.

Usually I don't have resolutions, but this winter I have never felt so out of shape and lazy.
I was hoping to get in some better shape by skiing a lot this winter, but global warming has different plans for Pennsylvania this year. I guess I'll get a new tire for my bike and start biking more often.

The past few weeks I've been reflecting upon my life and I've been wondering if I'm doing what I was meant to be doing.
I'm only 26, but I do this a lot too. I have pre-mid-life crises every few weeks. Just past the stroke of midnight on January the 1st I was telling myself to again get my arse into gear and make stuff happen.
I've got loads of creative ideas for websites, children's book, etc which I want to concentrate on but never get around to actually progressing with. There are places I want to visit, but never do. It’s a disease called laziness I have to overcome. Plus a dollop of fear, I suppose. By that I mean pulling myself out of a comfortable routine and actually experiencing something new. I guess that’s my resolution for this year.
..and I guess my big resolution is to follow through with my plans for him.
Perhaps I've missed this in another thread, put who is this guy, and what are your plans for him? Looks interesting. I understand if its all too early to reveal and hush-hush.

It's a super-duper, top-secret project I'm concocting for either a web-comic or an animated series that will more than likely go nowhere. I don't want to say too much about it in an open forum because people have stolen my ideas before (a cable show about red-necks travelling from small town to small town and stirring up shit? My idea...) I probably shouldn't even be using pictures of him for anything at all yet (but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out, just the little bit I've done) but I will say, if you like Buck Rogers, Flash Gordon, and shows like the Venture Bros, this might be funny if it ever actually goes anywhere... I've got a couple of "episodes" written already, but I'm still fleshing out characters. It'll be a fun hobby, if anything.

I didn't make a resolution at first, but I think I shall resolve to:
1. smoke only quality cigars and not very often (looks like those free black and mild's are going in the trash)
2. lose a few....dozen pounds
3. work harder in school (even though my grades are just fine)
4. stop excessively speeding, especially in the cars of friends' parents.
5. I should probably stop drinking so much. Not that I drink too frequently... just a lot when I do.

I vowed some years ago to lose about 285 lbs of excess weight. Since I did get divorced I consider it a rousing success and have been pretty much riding on that since.

This is greatness... lol.
My resolutions... yeah not to many at this point. I think I'm going to wait until I can play my attack the way I want to.
Check back with me in February.
