I beat Final Fantasy XII... it was EXCELLENT. I wish it wasn't over.

I also watched season 1 of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, for the 20th time probably.
"I WILL RUIN THIS HOUSE WITH MY ANGER!" Hahaha, that show cracks me up.

Put together a table, traded in some games, bought locke and charlie figures

then came home and proceeded to try and get five star rankings on every song on guitar hero 2 in medium difficulty, namely becase I tried hard yesterday and barely got 16% of the first song completed.

FFXII is not out here until february :(

I wish I owned Guitar Hero.... either of them. But I assure you, buying FFXII when it comes out there is a good investment. It's a good way to spend 60 hours... 60 hours that should have been spent studying for finals (oops!)

I got threatened with a lawsuit, bad references, and being black-balled in the television industry this morning. Then I came to work and watched a few movies, previewed some cartoons with file-based captioning (three Sealabs and a S.A.C. 2nd Gig) and then posted this.

Fairly uneventful, ho-hum day.

Mine just won't do anything right if you have more than two programs running in the system tray at any given time. Like I cannot be signed onto MSN and AIM at the same time. I'm not going to save memory and get Trillian, either. Because that program fucking sucks.

I've been having to use either my mom's computer or my laptop since my computer got fucked up from the attempt at installing XP that I made on Christmas Day. My mom's computer is rather nice. It has XP and has a flat screen monitor and runs pretty fast. My laptop on the other hand, is a gigantic piece of shit. It was made around 1997, and I have to bring it to school every day. It's good for word processing, but it's absolutely awful to do anything on the internet. It has enormous trouble with sites with only one or two ads on a page, even on broadband.

I have to use it for school until I get to college. :<

I found a blog that deals with behind the scenes rumors and any on-air bullshit back in my old market. I made a comment about how while I was in town for the holidays, I caught five minutes of the local newscast and that I was almost ashamed to have KBTV on my resume. Someone said my resume wasn't that impressive to begin with. I told 'em I'd put mine against their's any time and it snowballed from there.

Seems the news director is a sue happy bastard who thinks he can somehow get me fired from my present job as well...

Downloaded the Superman Returns demo on Xbox 360 (just for the hell of it). It's not bad, but it could be a LOT better. I would never consider buying it, but it's a fun demo. I'm stuck at home tonight because my parents went out of town to see a concert and my mom got a little paranoid and made me stay home while they are gone (concert starts at 8 but they left at around 3). Luckily, before they left I went out and bought some records with the $10 they gave me to buy supper with.:D I bought Men At Work's Business as Usual and Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road on classic vinyl. So basically, my plans are to play the Supes demo, watch the rest of Evening W/ Kevin Smith 2 and Now You Know, and listen to one of the new records. Then I'll probably just watch some of That 70s Show until they get home. I know I've rambled on a bit, and I apologize, but I'm pretty damn bored. Also, JK, sorry to hear about the angry Canadian douchebag. If he bothers you again, just bring up Celine Dion. That should shut him the hell up.

I need a player, I think I know exactly what record player you're talking about too, my mom almost got one the other day. I need to expand my collection. I only have about 9 vinyls. The first one I bought was Hard Day's Night OS. I got it for 50 cents at a garage sale, found out that if the edition I bought was in mint condition it would have been worth 250 bucks. Sadly, the previous owner did not take care of it, so now its worth next to nothing.

Got my very own player this Christmas as well. I bought a couple Van Halen records yesterday (Van Halen II and Fair Warning). I've been buying a shitload of vinyl since I found a store in town that sells it (the only one, actually). The store's awesome, in my opinion, and all the people there are extremely nice. Also, according to one employee I've talked to the last couple times I've been in to buy records, I'm now the resident vinyl junkie. Also, shortly after my last post, I was looking up my finds on Wikipedia and trying to find out what Men at Work album Overkill was on, when I saw and recognized the record's cover. Turns out the store DID have the record I was looking for, but I thought Cargo (the name of the album) was the name of the band, and didn't see the small Men at Work logo on the upper left. Anyway, I decided to disobey my mother's orders and go pick the album up. I love the song Overkill (ever since seeing the My Overkill ep of Scrubs) and the album is really good. All together today for three records I spent $10, which is pretty damn cheap. Anyway, I know I've been rambling again but I've already explained that I am extremely bored. Sorry for wasting your time with a big ass post.:D

Went and saw The Good Shepard with the folks. It was pretty good. A tad long, but worth watching once. After that we went to Wal-Mart and they bought me Men At Work's Superhits ($6). I'm sure they did these things because they feel bad about leaving me alone on New Year's Eve night (they're going to a friend's house for a party, and my best friend left town to visit some family). Anyway, after that I went to the local video store (with my $15 gift certificate) and bought Benchwarmers and Superman Returns on DVD (I had originally bought The 40 Year Old Virgin, but the disc was scratched to hell and didn't work and they had no more copies, so I traded for Supes). Oh, also, I heard about a prowler that was by my house last night. That makes me feel REALLY comfortable about spending New Year's alone. Anyway, that's about it. Sorry for the long post (again), but I'm still pretty bored. Well, I'm off to cook my Pizza Rolls and watch some DVDs.

Today I watched Superman II the donner cut, I enjoyed it overall because alot of the slapstick was gone, however theres 2 things that bothered me, one was the post-sex scene which has always been there, it just occured in a different part of the movie, and the other is the ending. Other than that it was a pretty solid effort and if I knew how to edit films, I'd probably amend and delete those two scenes accordingly.

Other than that I watched an episode of zelda on youtube (you know the 1989 ones from the super mario super show) and an episode of buffy season 2.

Quick side note. I think I might actually save alot of money this year as theres only 4 games on the ps2 I want.
Tomb Raider anniversary, FFXII, God of War 2 and Okami.

Cool, can't wait to see it.

Done with rough draft.

Once upon a time, there was a 12 year-old boy named Todd.
Todd was a very nice boy, who loved his mommy and all his friends.
Todd was happy with all the action figures and puzzles and toy cars he had collected over the years.
He was very, very happy, but one fateful day changed that all.
Todd's mom took Todd to the mall to go to A Generic Coffee Shop
On the way to the A Generic Coffee Shop, Todd passed The Store For Overpriced Emo and Goth Apparel, The Humongous Department Store Full of Grossly-Overpriced Clothing Aimed at Teens of the Popular Clique, and The Store That Sells Video Games.
At that store, there was a big display window.
Todd looked in the big display window...it was a Playstation 3!
Todd wanted one so bad. He begged his mom for it.
“Shut up, Todd,” She said “You are an enormous failure as a son and I don't love you.”
“So is the answer yes?” Tom asked “NO!” replied his mom
So after Todd's mom went to the mall and purchased $6000 worth of clothing at The Humongous Department Store Full of Grossly-Overpriced Clothing Aimed at Teens of the Popular Clique, Todd and his mother drove home. Todd was desperately thinking of a way to raise $600 for his Playstation 3.
Then, Todd had a wonderful idea! He would get a job someplace that paid at least $100 a week, then he would have his Playstation 3 in six weeks!
Todd ran to his mom and told her about the idea.
“Hey Mom!”
“What?”
“I'm going to get a job!”
“I don't care.”
“In six weeks, I'll have a Playstation 3!”
“Wow.”
“Isn't that great!?!”
“Shut up.”
So Todd ran to the mall and applied at A Generic Coffee Shop and got the job! His position was Wall, floor, table, chair, counter, door, toilet, gutter, roof, concrete, ceiling, and dirt scrubber.
Todd went through training and started work.
“I can't wait to get my Playstation 3!” Said Todd gleefully
So Todd worked for 1 whole week. He was exhausted every day from scrubbing pretty much every inch of the coffee shop, but it was worth it. Todd was already $100 towards getting a PS3!
That is, until, the IRS discovered how much money he was making. They taxed him for a little bit of his income. Oh well, at least he had $3.51 left of what he earned.
Todd was in the bathroom scrubbing the floor, when his boss stepped in.
“Todd, I've got good news!”
“Yes sir?”
“I am promoting you!”
“REALLY?!?”
“Yes I am!”
“What position?”
“You have been promoted to the position of carrier of enormous 100lb bags full of coffee beans.”
“Okay.”
So Todd went down to the gigantic supply truck which was parked directly in front of the main entrance to the mall, and got 3 bags of coffee beans and a wheel barrel. He then hauled the enormous bags to the coffee shop. It was quite exhausting work, right? Well if it was, that was just too bad. He had 397 bags to go.
Well Todd worked there for about six months with the same job.
“All of this hard work, and such little pay! I don't know if I can ever get the Playstation 3 at this rate.”
Tom then went to the game store, with the 250 bucks he had made from all of that hard work.
He then talked to the man at the counter
“Hello sir”
“Hey Todd, what do you want today?”
“I want a Playstation 3.”
“Playstation 3? Are you kidding me?”
“What?”
“You see, the Playstation 3 is an overpriced system that was advertised as a revolutionary console, but was really made of a bunch of expensive stuff that Sony threw together and called a 'console'.”
“Really?”
“Yes. I mean, you can't do background downloads with it, the controllers are the same as they were ten years ago, nobody wants Blu-ray, and you need a big expensive HDTV to see the the GROUNDBREAKING 5% extra power that it has over the Xbox 360.”
“Really?”
“Yes. I mean it's ugly too. Seriously, it looks like someone took a Playstation 2 and forcefully shoved a bunch of unnecessarily expensive technology into it...OH, WAIT A SECOND...”
“Wow.”
“Yes.”
“So what can I get with $250?”
“Well you can purchase that entire bin of Playstation 3's that cost a dollar each because nobody wanted them and we have to get rid of them.”
“Oh okay. Thanks.”
Todd went to the bin of Playstation 3s'. He picked one up and pressed the ON button and the hard drive crashed and the system overheated and broke in his hands!
“Wow I don't want these. What else can I get?”
“You can get the Nintendo Wii.”
“Nintendo Wii?”
“Yes sir! The Nintendo Wii is an advanced system that features motion-sensing technology to make games feel more realistic! You can also browse the Internet from the Wii! It's a next-gen console with all kinds of goodies all for just $249!”
“Uhhh, okay I guess I'll get that.”
“Here you go, Todd!”
“Thanks.”
So Todd quit his job and went home to play his Wii, which he could have much more fun with than with a Playstation 3.
He lived happily ever after.

The end.

The truth is that the PS3 is actually outselling its in-market product vs the Wii's supply. This is not conjecture, it is fact.

The Wii has outsold the PS3 3 to 1... but has a supply of 5 to 1. The 360 has outsold the PS3 around 12 to 1, and has a supply of 20 to 1. That makes the PS3 the supply to demand champion BY FAR.

This is why you need to wait a year to see where the numbers stand before you declare anyone the winner of anything. It took the PS2 more than a year to show it was winning the console war... more than two years even. What really started selling the PS2 around the world was "killer apps" that the competition just could not beat... even when the PS2 was the more expensive system.

However, I think that in the end the 360 may win this console war because it was first in market and has a lead on the development of games. The games I have played so far for the Wii are at best party games. There is nothing extraordinary about them. The PS3 has one killer game (Resistance: Fall of Man) while the 360 has at least ten games worth owning. Yet, none of the systems have a "killer app." Gears of War is cool but it just isn't to the system what Halo was to the XBox, or about a dozen games are to the PS2.

So, when anyone starts predicting doom for the PS3, or praising the Wii for its success, take it with a grain of salt. Most of these people are not thinking logically about the process. We may not even know until second quarter of 2008 who has won the next gen console war (and I hate to even consider the Wii a next generation system... it is just a different control scheme).

I got a wii solely for "The Twilight Princess" and the Metroid game soon to come, and I was absolutely amazed at the precision of the Wii, especially when shooting arrows.

I already broke one controller, they need to make those wrist bands a little stronger :) (Something about playing tennis and hitting the ball too hard, only to have the controller break free from the wrist band and crashing into a nearby window.... quite *cough* fun )

I have yet to buy a ps3 because of it's price tag, and I do not see a reason for the 360, because most of the games are also on the PC.

I am not predicting a win thus far, as Nintendo has a tendancy to fuck up (can I say fuck here? ) a good thing with shit games. I bought the Wii for the very same reason that 80% of us old farts do, Nostalgia. The big 3! Unfortunately, that was GameCube's demise, they delivered on 2 titles, and the rest just sucked.

Sony's consoles have a tendancy to deliver later in life, as they keep developing great games. We will see...

If the Wii can deliver great games with a fantastic controller, there is no doubt that it will win overall, however; we play games to forget about life and not be active.....

Just my observances...
