How do you go about selling a Rolex watch?
Anyone?

Stand on a street corner in Cairo.

If that doesn't work and you are sure it's genuine, you could list it on eBay or craigslist or some such and provide information that will assure potential buyers that it's real.

Yes. Our noble street vendors sell many of the best watch brands. I, myself, am the proud owner of several Rolexx watches.

I have a woman's Rolex and I do know that the only way to guarantee that it is real is to have it appraised at a jewler that specializes in them. The fakes have gotten too good. People online will expect to have validation if it is real from an accedited source or you won't get jack squat out of it.

Also if you want the least amount of hassle you can sell it to a store that specializes in vintage luxury watches. Yes, you might not get as much out of it but you also don't have to deal with selling it to people who might not give you what you expect since people on Ebay are looking for the cheapest price.

[Oh - and to add to Jason's Rolexx I call my girlfriends fake a "Faux-lex"]

Pretty much what Zens said. People are so skeptical that you'll probably have to go to a jewerly reseller. I'm not sure how many of those businesses are out there, but I know there's one that has an ad in the NY Times everyday, which means there must be at least a few reputable resellers/validaters.

Pretty much what everyone else said, I just wanted to add nothing to the thread, and still appear as though contributed.

Is that like a Swatch?

*hears crickets and realizes half the board is too young to remember swatch watches*

I had a swatch once. The minute hand looked like a blushing Fido Dido.

The first birthday present my wife gave me was a Swatch.
Did everything from the eighties look as gay as a Swatch?

Did everything from the eighties look as gay as a Swatch? I have this Swatch and I still think it's the best watch I've ever had.
