Any body else pick up Guitar Hero 2 for the PS2? I got it about a week ago (which is why I haven't been on the boards much) and love it. I had always wanted to play the original GH, but couldn't find it in my "town", plus I never had the $70-80 to pay for it. Recently I got $80 as an early Christmas present and decided to play. The track list is pretty good (although lacking at the end in my opinion), plus I get to play Thunderhorse by Dethklok. Overall, it's a damn good game.

I really want it. I've read the reviews for it and the more I hear about it, the more I want it. I've played it a couple of times at the store demos.

Also, do you know if it's playable online?

No online.:( Doesn't really matter to me, since I don't have a connection in my room. You can make your own songs online and play them with your keyboard on Freetar Hero (http://freetar.antonstruyk.com/download.html), but it's just not the same as the actual game. I do play a lot of Freetar Hero in my computer class, though.

Hey this has nothing to do with this thread, per say...However, that being said I still feel compelled to post this.

You signature remindes me of this song...by Paul Stanley (http://images.projectplaylist.com/static/music/track/B000I8OFZUBLUE1.html)

Well, it has a small relation to this thread since it has to do with games....because this song was in the " World of Warcraft" episode of South Park.

Yeah, I've heard Live to Win before. It's okay, but it's honestly too modern for my tastes. I would've preferred more of a classic Kiss sound, but I understand why he didn't want to do that. As for my sig, let it remind you of nothing other than one of the greatest rock bands of all time!:D

Just played it for the first time tonight. I wish we could have played longer. Now I understand what all the hype is about. It's fun as hell. I have to say that Thunderhorse threw me for a loop, and I don't even want to touch that Lamb of God song.

It's really addictive. It's kind of hard at first, but once your fingers get used to it, it becomes ridiculously enjoyable. I didn't really like the 7th arena songs that much (the one with Lamb of God), but the soundtrack is really solid overall. If they only had Maiden......

I just picked it up today with vouchers I got for Chrimbo.
Wow, this is as much as one can have sober and with clothes on!
It kinda makes me want to return to my guitar for real...

My brother has it... I just can't get into it. Having played most of the songs on a real guitar, I kind of feel like I am cheating.

Probably because I am...

I know a few people that own it, and I got ok at it. I can play most if not all songs on medium and a few on hard. I can pass one or two (not do well, just pass) on expert. I LOOOVE Guitar Hero 2. I'm addicted to playing YYZ alone. Unfortunately, I have to pay a 75 dollar speeding ticket. That's money I could have used for buying Guitar Hero :( I guess I'll just have to wait another month.

The coolest thing is that you can play co-op and do the rhythym or base lines of those songs. So you can play along with the Geddy. It's a sweet game.

I wish I could REALLY play along with Geddy. Then I wouldn't have to learn things...or go to college.

I was watching some video clips of Geddy on youtube and I found this public service announcement. Tobagganing safety tips from Geddy Lee. Hilarious!
