Anyone else a fan of US football? Who’s your team? I like the Raiders, but also other teams. I’ve been thinking about signing up for some sort of sports package, anyone got one to recommend? I like the commercials for the DirectTV one with that crochety old dude, see if I can find ‘em online… yeah: www.heybuttercup.com suppose it’s silly to sign up for a service cuz you like the commercial, but it looks good. Anyone have it?

I like the RaidersIt's gonna be a long, LONG season for you. They got a damn good chance of going 0-16. You definitely need to cheer for other teams you like.

I don't have cable, so I don't get it.
I did spend two hours watching a game last night though, on North American Sports Network, but I think it was Canadian. Toronto were playing....maybe against some dudes wearing bright orange. :confused:
It's a cool sport, but the most exposure it gets over here is when something like Any Given Sunday or Friday Night Lights comes out in cinemas.

Yeah, that hurts. But, I like routing for the underdog, anyway. I do like the Rams, too, was a big fan when they were in LA.

Hey if anyone has the Superfan package - do you know what they do with the audio on the 8 games on 1 screen? Is it silent, or a mix, or what?

It's Vinnie Jones (left), as in Juggernaut from X-Men 3. That could be a name of a character he's played, but I'm not familiar with it. :o

Based on the steaming pile of shit that is Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, I can't bring myself to watch it.
I can't stand most of the slew of british gangster movies that came out in the nineties.

I have seen a few mins of it and I heard his accent. Trust me, it's a terrible appoximation of the real thing.

I just assumed that, much like Americans love to make fun of Canadians, Brits love to make fun of the Irish. I figured that it was Guy Ritchies little jab at the little brother...so it had to be exagerated.

Perhaps, I just have a weird thing about fake Irish accents in movies. I also hate when Irish actors can't pull off a convincing US accent, like Gabriel Burn or Colin Farrell, and so the director in question will make their character Irish-American, like Farrell in Minority Report.

I have a serious problem. :o
