Lately I have had an information overload. I discovered not only that Paul Stanley has a new solo album coming soon (which I, as a Kiss fan, cannot wait to hear), but "Weird Al" has a new CD coming out at the end of this month! As always, I can't wait to hear Al's new stuff. What about you guys?

Love Weird Al, not so much on anything KISS.

Jeremy Enigk, former front man for Sunny Day Real Estate and most recently the Fire Theft has a solo album coming out soon. His past solo stuff was kind of miss, but I'm still interested in hearing it.

And the Cooper-Temple Clause has something new coming out soon...

Oh, who am I kidding? You people don't really care.

You got that right. :D Actually, I like hearing new stuff that I can reasonably assume won't suck. Even if it's just to reassure myself that not all new music comes from reality tv nowadays.

Also, I just heard about the Cyndi Lauper acoustic album that came out a little while ago (okay, a whole year ago) and I think that it will be my next musical purchase. No, really. For once I'm not being sarcastic, I really liked what I heard of it.

As I have been rewatching Buffy episodes, I got to the episode where the adults act like kids. They have to clean graffitti off the lockers including "Kiss Rocks!" to which Willow innocently asks "Why do they want them to kiss rocks?"

Hey, I've been very respectful of your fandom by keeping my KISS comments to a minimum.

Making fun of KISS is counterproductive, kind of like talking trash about the Cleveland Browns: they're not any good, they'll never win anything, but they've got their rabid fans none the less. And I respect that.

So, how long is it going to be until Paul Stanley comes strutting out of the closet? :D

You can download "Don't Download This Song" (http://www.dontdownloadthissong.com/tracks/DDTS.mp3) from Straight Outta Lynwood by clicking the link. Don't worry, it's legal.

Here's a link for you to download another new Al song, "You're Pitiful" (http://media.thechrispirilloshow.com/mp3/yourepitiful.mp3). It is also legal (he wasn't allowed to put this song on the new album, so he offered it for free download).

I was thinking the same thing, like there would be a massive CD burning should Paul make the inevitable announcement. However, Rob Halford's confession didn't turn anyone against Judas Priest. In fact a lot of the fans didn't care. I think most of the soldiers in the KISS Army would still go into battle for Paul and the Boys because they already know. It would do wonders for advancing tolerance in the community.

And I'd totally buy a ticket to the subsequent double billing; Kiss/Judas Priest: the "Are you really That Surprised" Tour. With special guest; Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Be the ninth caller and win an all-access back-door pass.

Rob Halford's gay? Seriously? I mean, that doesn't change anything, but, wow.

One of the columnists here actually made a video for "Your Pitiful." The link should be around here somewhere. Ah, let's see here it is (http://www.moviepoopshoot.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6049&highlight=pitiful)

Since I feel it's highly appropriate to quote Reading Rainbow right now;

Of course, you don't have to take my word for it. Find out for yourself. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rob_Halford#Life_and_career)

This band's singer's story is loosely based on The Ripper, who took over for the very gay Halford. And We All Die Young.

Was it the same guys that did Rock Star that are doing that Eagles movie? I mean, it's pretty much the same story with the same principle, they just replaced music with football.

Strangely enough, this is the only part of the thread I am interested in. Well, that and the part about Weird Al having a new album coming out.

Wow. I just kind of stared blankly at the screen during that whole movie. The only metal part about that movie is Zakk Wylde.

I didn't know they were in there, in all honesty. Like I said, I just kind of stared at the screen. I only know Zakk Wylde's in there because one of my friends is a huge BLS fan. I like BLS, but I prefer to listen to his work on No More Tears (the whole album, not just the song) with Ozzy.

So, yeah...i reviewed Al's new album in my column this week...and yes, it's good stuff. Not the best polka, sadly, but overall the album is great.

You can check it out over at http://www.quickstopentertainment.com/?p=1678

And, yeah, you can see the video i did for Al's YOU'RE PITIFUL there too...

I saw the video for Weasel Stomping Day on Robot Chicken... really freakin' funny, unless you're one of those ultra animal rights people. Its all over youtube in case you haven't seen it. I read that Al's album has 5 animated videos for the original songs... I heard John K (Ren and Stimpy) did one, I might have to pick that up.

Is anyone else kind of disappointed with the new CD? I know one of the reasons I'm a little disappointed with the new one is because I just listened to In 3D recently for the first time (although I've had it for a couple of years) and it's amazing. I just don't think it's as enjoyable as Poodle Hat or Running With Scissors. I've been a Weird Al fan for a long time and still am, but I'm just not so sure about the new one. Anyway, at least this means he'll be touring again (I saw him on the Poodle Hat tour and he was amazing, so I will have to see him again on this tour). Anyone else feeling disappointed with this?

I just discovered something that may help people understand you in the future. It's called "GRAMMER" it makes it so your words make sense when they are put together.

For some reason, I am reminded of a web cartoon called "Humdrum." The two characters are playing shadow puppets and one character is very dumb and the smart one loses it and screams "There are blind people with no fingers who are better at shadow puppets than You!" I just understand his frustration when dealing with people like this.

I liked maybe three of the songs, white n nerdy, canadian idiot, weasel stomping day, but the rest just seemed too long or too... i dunno, retarded. and ya gotta know i love retarded humor, and running with scissors was my favorite album from al, but this one was just kinda dissapointing.
