So, I brought my new Pet home today.
This is a picture of it just before it comes into its new home.

I tried to show it around the apartment...

...but it got so excited that it wanted to explore on its own.
http://www.t-mobilepictures.com/photo/photo07/3d/4d/444c56c8a182.jpg?tw=305&th=228&_rh=4svqzktf0zs4j7707kak27ryk

It's going to have to learn to not jump on the couch.

Eventually I was able to get it into it's new room.

And then it wanted to play.

But Robbo just noticed it's unique ID number.

So, now Robbo starts to mull over whether or not the new Pet should be allowed to go play.

...

Robbo continues mulling it over.

Robbo decides, "Screw it!" The reason he got this Pet was so that he could play with it.

Its first bath.

It is nice to be together.

Yeah. There's only 5000 of these babies around. Pretty much an endangered species. I was the first one in the store, and by the time I left, all of these little beauties were sold out.

Okay, I guess I'm not cool, because I'm not hip on what's so cool about owning Pet Sounds... :o

Noticed you said you like music. I guess you didn't say anything about good music.

I didn't say I didn't like The Beach Boys, just that I wanted to know what's so special about that particular copy of Pet Sounds...

And extremely tough to find on vinyl.

Another reason I wish my dad's second wife an eternity of Hellfire and Damnation.

When I left for the Navy, I had that album, on vinyl, a first pressing of the Beatles white album (complete with poster) & first pressings of Help! and Meet the Beatles... all in near mint condition. I get home, and she had taken them all when she divorced my old man.

I've been listening to my dad's vinyl copy of the Beatles' White Album. I'm claiming all of his Beatles albums because he hasn't listened to them since I was born (or for years before that, as far as I know). I would check whether it was worth much, but I don't really care. There's no way I'm letting it go. Nothing better than coming home and listening to "Back in the USSR". Oh, and sorry for your loss(es).

I directly told him I was taking them, and he seemed completely fine with it. I was kind of joking, but now they're mine! :D

My friend's dad has a sweet vinyl collection that we run through every once in a while. He has all of the Beatles albums, some Zeppelin, "Talking Book" and "Innervisions" by Stevie Wonder, Jonie Mitchell, "Eat a Peach" by the Allman Bros., just to name a few.

We'd mess with the records, but they are sacred. His dad's record player gathers no dust. It's unfair to have such a cool dad. One of the more recent times I was over there he took off his iPod and held out the headphones to me. He said "This is why everyone forgives Rod Stewart for 'Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?'," and played me "Every Picture Tells a Story."
