That's not too bad. It's like when At the Drive-In split up, Mars Volta absorbed all of the quirkiness and the Sparta guys absorbed the more straight forward aspects of the previous band.

Two albums crammed full of proggy instrumental metal. Both bands are so extremely talented, and surprisingly jazzy. You don't have to be a metal head to like either of these bands.

On the other hand, these guys are heavy and dark. This album paints a very accurate portrait of addiction, and manages to be amazing at the same time. These guys are pushing the boundaries of the black metal genre in a good way.

My mates 15 Times Dead were opening for them (and Revoker) on Wednesday. Unfortunately I was already seriously knackered and didn't like Revoker too much, so I left. Still I bought the CD. It is cool, although (most of) the lyrics are a bit too "epic '80s" to be taken seriously...

They have a song called "Call of Valhalla".
