I got my early birthday present today!
It's my newest toy and makes me happy.

And it has a USB port, so I can turn some of these old LP's my grandad gave me into CDs, which will surprise the hell out of him.
It's going to be more reliable than my 1960 Motorolla, but I don't know if it will sound better than it once all the tubes get warmed up in the antiquity.

Congrats. That USB port is freakin' the way to go for all us old-schoolers that still have vinyl. Just awesome.

Interesting. So it has some sort of on-board pre-amp and analog-to-digital converter?

Yep, and it's got software to help remove some of the scratches, clicks and pops, which while charming on a phonograph is not something I want on my grandad's CD's that I'm making him.
Yes, why?
Just the first time I've noticed you, is all.

I'd like to know how that works. I've been using a program that's supposed to take out the scratches, clicks, hissing and pops, but it doesn't seem to work very well. It'd be nice to know of one that works really well.
