Okay, well, thanks for completely dodging the question and instead giving me an opinion about a band that happens to be on the soundtrack, you jackass. I'm going to buy the soundtrack. That is why I need the release date (I've called all local stores and they don't have the CD). Keep your opinions to yourself, asshole.
PS- For the record, I neither like nor dislike Smashing Pumpkins music, I'm buying the CD for Goodbye Horses, the two King Diamond songs, and the dialogue tracks.

According to Kevin Smith's store site:
"This Soundtrack will ship on or around August 25, 2006, Release date was changed by Manufacturer, not by us."
If you get it through the store, you can get it autographed.
*Note: Smashing Pumpkins appeared on the Simpsons and are therefore automatically cool.

Thanks for (once again) providing extremely useful information. Too many idiots on this forum that prefer to state opinions rather than answering questions. So it is known, I did check the store site before multiple times (always said July 25th). I really need the dialogue tracks now that it left my town's theater.

So, who are you to dictate what we should or should not answer? Ass...

Answer what you want, I was just pissed after waiting about seven days and only getting one reply from someone who completely dodged the question and (at the time) killed the thread.

Probably the reason no one replied is because a simple google search would have revealed your answer. Therefore, your thread was hijacked for something more interesting.

I googled, yahooed, and called all local (and a few out of town) stores. I did all that I could possibly think of and got no results. I wasn't just bitching. I needed an answer and thought the boards were a good place to go for one while I continued to search.

Oh, well everything (except for my local stores, which had no clue) I checked said July 25th. Whatever.

I'm all for opinions now that the question is answered. I just wanted to know the release date, dammit. Now I look like a freaking asshole.

On the thread, not in real life. Thank God. Nice job pointing that out though, but you should have added...

Got the CD yesterday and while it's a great companion piece to the movie itself, I do have one complaint (shocking, I know). Couldn't have Bulletproof thrown in a few more bills and get a couple of more pages in the CD insert? Kevin's liner notes could fit on a pin head. I may be old but sizing the font on a 6 point scale is ridiculous.

Really?
I felt that a song so well known seemed out of place in a Kev movie
It took me out of the scene a little bit

I've never heard that song before, but then again, I haven't listened to pop music or radio (except for select online radio) for years. I kind of wish it was on the soundtrack.

You've never heard "1979" by the Smashing Pumpkins?! My mom has heard that, and she's clueless about most stuff.
Download it if you can. It's one of my favorite songs by them, and they're one of my favorite bands (well, everything before MACHINA, anyway).

I'll try downloading that. Also, here's a disturbing factoid: I've listened to Goodbye, Horses at least 10 times today. During homework, around the house, and online (I'm listening to it right now). I can't get it out of my head, and I really don't mind.

I've been waiting for you to use punctuation and correct grammar, but I just figured after seeing all the regulars' posts, you'd eventually start. So I will attempt to make a deal. I know the track list, and if you use correct punctuation and grammar to ask me the question I will happily answer. Remember, this is for your own good.

Or...how about you learn to use a search engine or, oh, I don't know, KEVIN'S OFFICIAL WEBSITE, to look it up.
Wow, I'm in an entirely uncharacteristic bitch-mode tonight.

Forget the soundtrack, just find the classic ''Them'' and you are set.
