***WARNING: Contains STRONG OPINIONS***

Kill Bill?..........

Of all the overrated movies.........both Kill Bills take the cake

I knew they were gonna be terrible from the start when Uma Thurman was starring at her big ugly feet repeating "wiggle your big toe". Plus I find the fact of making a silly white girl a huge martial arts expert retarded........I mean I KNOW they are out there.......but did you see how fast she took out Lucy Liu? (spelling?).......I know Japanese culture is a big influence in America these days but come on......This kinda of stuff encouraged people to be posers. Plus I've never liked Terintino....and I straigt up don't care if I mispelled his name.

I'm sure he has studied alot of different oriental ways and such, but the mans a fruit. Take for instance when a reporter commented on something MR. Tino didn't like.....and he was quick to judge anyone of being that reporter. I saw a video of him accusing a reporter standing on the side of the red carpet of being the one talking trash on him and quickly ran up screaming obscenities and spitting on him. Oh yes.......I'm sure this is the guy that masters of martial arts want representing them on the big screen.

I won't deny the coreographing was nice, very nice........but the plot, ideas and creator behind these movies were garbage (with the exception of a mother fighting for her child). Every martial art master quentin consults, if he even does, needs to just hit him once.....really hard.....and knock that shit outta his brain.

Theres 2 things Quentin ever did to get a positive reaction out of me......

#1 When he died in From Dusk till Dawn
#2 When he praised Clerks II

And don't think I hate the movies jsut cuz I don't like the guy, but after seeing Kill Bill I finally looked the guy up and noticed that no matter what movie it was he made......Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, etc....I saw it, and hated it.

And don't get me started on Hero. It even had a good story.....stories.....see thats where I'm going with that one. The same damn story told with 3 different variations.

I was about to go to bed before I saw this. But I just had to do it.....I can't take all the praise Quentin gets. He and his movies are SO frickin' overrated. And in Pulp Fiction............big black guy getting it up the browneye from a redneck.......something tells me there was something serious going on in the back of his mind when he wrote that in the script......

So, you mentioned two of the worst movies ever made... and then attack Lucas for making three fun little movies? Oh, sad little baby... V and Boondock are not even movies. They are trainwrecks made for small minded people to easily digest while thinking they have experienced something profound or even remotely well made.

Hey, let me flash candy in your face and call it a political statement against Bush! Or, let me grab a well known NY actor, put him in a movie, and then slap a "classic" sticker on it! Then they would make your top six list.

My favorite kind of movies are the kind where the director makes the bad guy into the hero. Rob Zombie is a genius at doing this, with The Devil's Rejects. These serial killers were completely insane, but Zombie brought out the inner hero in them. I have seen this movie at least 30 times, and I still get a bit teary eyed at the end when they get killed. That being said, my top six favorite movies...

1. The Devil's Rejects
2. House of 1000 Corpses
3. Scarface (gotta love the hero\bad guy)
4. Full Metal Jacket
5. Silence Of The Lambs
6. American History X

I just like good writers and directors and Captain Spaulding is my favorite character of all time. He's like Pennywise meets Dirty Harry meets Leatherface. Rob Zombie is a genius writer, and Sid Haig is an awesome actor. No, I am definately not "goth". Does this look goth to you (sorry I have to show my ugly face to everyone):

My top 6 movies ever:

-Dog Soldiers

-Porkys

-Re-Animator

-Drunken Master

-Django

Braindead aka Dead Alive - Peter Jackson´s masterpiece!

Anyone notice the Island at the beginning of Brain Dead, where they steal the monkey from, is named Skull Island, and in Jackson's Kong, amongst some crates in one scene, the monkey cage from Brain Dead is stacked against a wall? So Jackson has visited Skull Island twice. Crafty fella!

- Re-Animator

Since seeing this a few months back, I’ve been trying to buy it, but every site seems to have withdrawn it. I'm refusing to use Amazon because they have been mucking me around with a book that should have been delivered three weeks back. Anyone know of a good site which sells old movies like these, either on DVD or VHS??

Actually, that's quite incorrect. Emo, while being a stereotype, is also a type of music. This type of music includes such bands as Simple Plan, Comeback Kid, Dashboard Confessional, and music of the such, Where-as your typical goth will listen to bands such as Type O Negative (for the darker, more solemn goth), Cradle of Filth, or the such. Also, Emo are more typical to wear clothes with atleast one anarchy symbol on it, be it a wrist band, or a necklace, where more than 75% of them have no idea what anarchy is. Goths, the true goths, wear ALL black, and usually wear black nail polish, black lip stick, and sometimes even white face paint. This picture here is your typical emo kid:

http://www.etniesmotox.com/site-images/news/article/emo-hairfull.jpg
Notice the hair style, you will see this on alot of emo kids

I was considered "goth" in HS and I would of slit one's throat if they told me I was emo.I wore black and sometimes black lipstick(mainly around hallows eve) If anything MALL GOTH and EMO go hand in hand...not true goths..(if we have to discuss a HS topic correctly).Real goths like Captain Spaulding displayed the pics there is CLEARLY a difference, but like I said MOVING ON to the topic at hand which is the top 6 best movies ever and I posted my response,:p plus I would know the difference..my ex was a typical EMO. Thats like saying preps and jocks are the same...or wicca and satanism. They have their differences whether it's small or large traits...they are different groups and can NOT be categorized as the same.

Best Movie you saw on a dare and liked?
People dare you to watch movies?

I get people daring me to drink some crazy concoction or to jump over a 4 foot wide pit of fire, but never been dared to watch a movie. I guess the stakes are high where I live... or maybe we are.
I don't know, I forget.

Event Horizon is the only half-decent film P. W. S. Anderson has made. He will never be forgiven for AVP, let alone for shatting on the Resi Evil games!

I know it makes me scum, but I kinda liked the first one. I couldn't even sit through the whole of the second one though.

Whilst I'm having a little rant at Anderson's expense, can I irrelevantly point out just how much I hate AVP. Even the film's tag line is naff. Whoever wins, we lose? Eh? Who survives at the end - the Weaver substitute!

I have to agree with the AVP comments. Dumbest movie ever made. I think there was a thread here before about it, because I kind of remember posting some complaints about it.

This is gonna be tough....

OK,
1) Star Wars TRilogy (the real one, not that shit lucas crapped out in 99-2006)
2)LOTR trilogy
3)V for Vendetta
4)Sin City
5)Boondock Saints
6) Last and certainly not least THE DEPARTED

There's only one f'ing trillogy! Just kidding, had to throw that out there.

1)True Romance
2)Leon The Professional
3)12 Monkeys
4)Reservoir Dogs
5)Empire strikes Back
6)My #6 is open to alot of stuff, can't really decide outside my top 5, if I think of something I'll edit.

And here is a picture of a goth kid:

http://www.gothic.ru/goth/net.goth/moscow/afazel02.jpg

Notice the difference?

I thought this was emo?

They're most certainly emo, albeit a later mutation of a once great genre.

I'm talkin' Rites of Spring style, almost post punk.
