Wikipedia lists this as a rumour.

I watched a made-for-tv bio-pic on Hendrix a few years ago. Amusingly enough, they failed to get the rights to any of the songs he actually wrote. Thus the soundtrack was entirely culled from his covers of Hey Joe, The Star Spangled Banner, All Along the Watchtower and a few others.

Its not the jimi hendrix one but it is sin city 2 (quentin Tarantino) also you can find posters of both on google images.

Why the Hell is Tarantino directing a movie about Jimi Hendrix? I'm pretty sure Hendrix never got into any problems with hitmen or was part of an elite assassination squad. Just seems weird to have him directing.
