Before I saw any previews, I thought this movie would be a King Arthur thing- you know, the lady in the lake? Then I saw a few previews, and was all like, hmm, mystical nymph-mermaid in Tinytown, USA- so what's she gonna do? And now there are all these creepy evil fairy tale commercials, making it look scary. All could be potentially interesting, though I like the scary concept the best.

But let us remember- this is M. Night- what is this movie really going to be about? Will it really be as scary as the previews make it seem? I thought Sixth Sense was Shymalan's sacriest so far (I'd put Signs as more 'creepy.') Any thoughts? This is the first movie of his that's not coming from Disney, so I'm thinking maybe he got more license for scary? Though it maybe just isn't his style...

OK, enough- stop my rambling with some more coherent ideas on this movie or what it will actually be like?

Well his "trademark" at the end is always a twist, so expect one of those. But other than that it's anybody's guess.

I guess he's trying to misdirect the audience with his marketing campaign so they don't try to figure out the ending; and at the same time giving them enough (visual) information to get them to go in and see it.

Anyhow so far what I gather is, the story centers around a man named Cleveland Heep. He works as a maintenance-man/caretaker at a hotel and there's a lady in the pool, or the water if you will. And Cleveland coerces her to come out. So she appears and garners some attention. Then later on Cleveland finds out she's from another place called the Blue World. So he goes exploring in H20 and unlocks the gateway and he unleashes some monsters.

The monsters aren't from the Blue World. They're trying to keep The Lady from returning to her world.

**Signs spoiler alert***

So was the 'twist' in Signs the fact that everything was just as it appeared? They were actually aliens who failed to notice our planet was blue before invading?

I like Shymalan's films, they are well written and beautifully shot but the guy is too subtle with content. He should just let loose sometime and let all hell break out on screen.

I would of loved Bruce Willis flying or something in unbreakable.

Seen the trailer. Looks good. Gonna see it. If this movie isnt good amd afierd to say that M. Night Shymalan has lost his touch. Actually its a sad thing.

Looks like crap, but I'll probably be dragged to see it.

I saw the movie last weekend. It's not scarry at all unless you get scared by bed time stories. It was ok for those that can get into those kind of stories. I'm glad it had some twist of humor in it, otherwise, I would of been booooorrrrreeeedddd.

I saw it last night...I thought it was very well done. I'm not sure why critics were bashing it, maybe because *SPOILER* the critic DIES..in the movie...too bad that can't happen in real life...The movie was very well written, directed and Bryce did do a decent job. I enjoyed the humor in it as well...all in all a GREAT flick to watch and buy on DVD. It's a really nice fairytale like story.
