Just thought I'd start a thread about this wonderful invention so people can talk about what TV Seasons are must-buys and what seasons are pieces-o-crap. Anyway, I'll start it out with some of my faves.
That 70s Show: Seasons 1,2, and 3 - Awesome, must-buys for any fans
Robot Chicken Season 1 - It's Robot Chicken, I need say no more
Brak Show Season 1 - One of the best [as] shows EVER. It's FREAKIN AWESOME
and, finally, Clerks Uncensored - Hilarious cartoon series no Clerks fan should be without. Plus it's usually pretty cheap
Anyway, those are some of my faves. By the way, the only reason the Venture Brothers Season 1 isn't on here yet is because I'm currently unemployed and running on broke. Oh well, just pop in more 70s Show.

* Angel - every season by the second to last. I couldn't tolerate the story arc with his ugly ass son.
*Alias - the first three seasons
*24 - the first two seasons
*Arrested Development - ALL OF THEM!
* Lost - season 1

Oh, and I forgot to mention Family Guy. I only have the originals right now, though, 'cause I'm not paying $30 for 13 episodes I've already seen and taped.
Anyway, I leave you with...

Of what? That 70s Show? If you mean That 70s Show, seasons 1-4 are out now. They're released about every 6 months for $50, but I got mine (1-3) at Wal-Mart recently for $20 each. Search around for good deals.
I just bought seasons one and two of Futurama for $19.98 each... Gotta love Wal-Mart.

My mom just bought the fourth season of Rosanne, which is going to annoy the heck out of me for about two weeks. Not the show, but how my mom watches them.... I would explain, but it all has to do with the whole mom and daughter rivalry, and I don't want to get into that.

I must say, I was disappointed with my Beavis and Butthead Mike Judge Collection Volume 1. After watching it I discovered that the music videos extremely common in each episode were usually my favorite part of the show, but the DVD only had 12 or 13. Since then it's been resting peacefully on my DVD shelf and I, as of now, have no intention of buying Volume 2.

Yeah, Home Movies is definitely one of those 'hip' shows... much like Arrested Development, you'll have to force yourself to watch a few episodes until you really get into it... but after that you can't believe anyone else could possibly hate it.

I recently bought Murphy Brown Season 1 for my mom for her birthday and Cheers Season 1 for my dad for his birthday (their birthdays are only 5 or so days apart). I also recently picked up a couple $1 DVDs from Wal-Mart, and they turned out to be pretty good. They're called "Toon Factory" (or something like that) and have a couple Daffy Duck or Bugs Bunny (one that I bought has Falling Hare , which is one of my favorites) cartoons with some other Looney Toons thrown in. Not bad for a buck each, especially since I haven't seen any Looney Toons in years. Oh well, just thought I'd share my new discoveries.

I just picked up season 5 of smallville and I dont like the new slimline design sleeve made up of 3 waif thin disc cases containing 2 discs, and I prefer a good old fashioned episode synopsis booklet rather than having them listed on the front back backs of the corresponding dvd cases.
Most of all it doesn't go quite well with the previous 4 seasons. I havent watched my season 3 & 4 over again yet though so I have ages to go.
Oh and Tru Calling is another show worth getting, I never even heard of it until the dvd and its just plain enjoyable eliza duskhu for the guys and some hotties of the girls who's names pass me by. Very much in vein to quantum leap/early edition and a slight hint of groundhog day. Another of fox's great 'cancelled in favour of crap tv' lineup.

I don't think you're two people, I know you're only one person posting under two different names. It took you... 18 months... to come up with that explaination about the IP?
Weak.
In my day, school was a place for education and learning. Also, you're pretty fuggin' low on my list of concerns. Therefore, it never crossed my mind that maybe you were using a terminal there to visit entertainment sites and web forums. But using the school computers to visit this website does go far in explaining why you don't know a flipping thing about sentence structure.

I gots me some Ventue Bros season 1 for 9 bucks on amazon. Zod bless multi-region dvd players!
The only downside is that the episodes look a little jaggidy on account of the differences between American and European TV's...at least I think that's the problem.

The Shield Season 4 for twenty bucks last weekend.
Sounds like a good buy. I saw that 4 Shield seasons were $20 each at Best Buy, but by that time I had already spent my $40 (on the Back to the Future Trilogy, Cheech and Chong's Next Movie, Big Lebowski Collector's Edition, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and a copy of Kiss's Alive II on CD). By the way, is Big Lebowski good? I bought it because I've heard it's funny and it was on sale for $5. Anyway, I think I'm going to spend my last $10 on a copy of Forrest Gump, but it'll most likely go towards either some more records or another Kiss CD instead.

Do you have other Region One DVDs and do they look jaggedy as well?
Are you sure it's an authentic copy? (I've ordered DVDs through Amazon where the orders weren't actually filled by Amazon and the disc was obviously a shitty rip)If your other R-1 discs look bad, it could very well be that the NTSC encoding isn't quite converted by the multi-regional player to a PAL signal completely compatible with your TV/monitor. By the way, is Big Lebowski good?
I don't if my opinion will mean much to you, but it's my all-time favourite film...EVER! Yes, it's that good.

Otherwise, I don't know. My Venture Bros disc looks sweet (also, I got a sneek peek at some of the extras for the season two dvd... I love my job...)
It definitely seems like a genuine box set, glossy pacakaging and all the relevant art work inside, so I'm pretty sure it's not a pirate copy. It doesn't happen with live action region one dvds, but my friend has Invader Zim and Ren & Stimpy box sets that are also region one and the same problem occurs, so maybe it's an animation thing. It's not a huge issue though, just something I've noticed. It's still sweet to have them on a shiny silver disc. :D
Any hints about season two's extras? I saw the artwork on the cover: niiiiiiice. :D

I can't directly answer your question, but I can ask you a question...
Have you ever wondered what it's like inside Astrobase Go! or just how much Soul-bot actually contributes to the creative processes? ;)
I only got to see a first edit, but it is freakin' funny.

You mean he does more than just voice H.E.L.P.e.R? ;) I can hardly wait!
The behind the scenes of the live action movie extra on season one was hilarious, although I doubt the image of Doc Hammer dolled up like Dr. Girlfriend will leave my mind any time soon...*shudder*

Also, don't do a Google Image Search for Doctor Girlfriend with the safe search off...

I think I just peed myself a little. By the way, is Venture greenlit for a third season? Also, a couple more questions (sorry if I'm being annoying, but since I have the chance I might as well ask):
1. What the hell happened to Harvey Birdman's latest season? Was it over? Did I miss it (could be a possbility if they only showed it on-air, since I only watch new shows over [as] Fix)?
2. When is Metalocalypse coming out on DVD (and will it include a soundtrack)?
3. How many episodes are left of Frisky Dingo? Also, how is it doing in the ratings? It's quickly become one of my favorite [as] shows (second only to Venture).
If you get time to answer these questions, I would really appreciate it. If not, I completely understand.

..I'm currently rocking:
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, volume two.
Batman: The Animated Series, volumes one-three.
Batman Beyond, random episodes.
Titus, seasons one and two.
South Park, season two.
Lost, season one.
Rescue Me, season one.
Arrested Development, season one.
Firefly
...and a couple of anime series.
Having little time for TV lately, I used to rely on DVD releases... But, after finding some TV Link sites, I've usually just been watching them on the net. Because I'm lazy, and cheap.

The only thing i have against Tv on DVD is that you have to wait a long time for your faviarote show To come out on DVD but your not so faviarote shows take the least time. Still love it though.

Brisco County Jr: Complete
Quesion: worth it?
I missed it when it was on TV as I hadn't discovered the genius of Campbell yet and never liked anything cowboy related. I've hummed and hawed about getting it since it was released last year, but it would mean an import purchase and it never seems to go down in price. So, yeah, is it worth it?

The Sci-Fi Network has been airing two episodes every Tuesday for a while now. The past couple of weeks they have been showing SG-1 in those time slots, so I am not sure if they have stopped showing Dead Like Me for good.
You could probably go to the Sci-Fi Channel network to check on it.

I watched the show a while ago when my friends liked it, but now I honestly can't stand it. I can't even get into an episode any more, but that's just my feelings on the show. All that matters is that you enjoy it, which I suspect you do since you bought it.

all the buffy's jacked up to £30 from 18 where I was buying them from, but I found another online store selling them for £16 with free p&p so I ordered 5,6 and 7 to complete the series. Angel I'm unsure about now as having just finished season4 they obviously intended for characters to switch between shows at specific points (like faith, Oz and buffy in season 1) can you confirm if thats something of a tradition they keep up.

who has got the new Tripping the Rift Season 3. I heard season 3 was basically the movie but CHODE from Tripping the Rift is my favorite character on Television. Tripping the Rift: THE MOVIE blew the following out the water: Simpsons Movie, Southpark movie, and Beavis and Butthead movie. While all those tried to do long version of their shows. Tripping the Rift actually made a more indepth movie that went beyond the show, plus CHODE IS FREAKING HILARIOUS
