Hi, everybody

Since this board is related to Kevin's mainpage, I think this is the right place to discuss about this. Hope I don't spoil any secrets (if I do, please mr. Administrator, feel free to delete this thread).

It's known that Kevin Smith and Zach Braff met some months ago at Kevin's, apparently to plan some work together. Smith even cooked lunch!!

So, what's with this amazing team? The talented star from Scrubs and Kevin Smith teaming up, this looks very interesting, right? What do you guys guess?

My hopes are focused on a comedy, or comedy slash something (comedy/movie-with-racoons-taking-over-the-world?). Think Braffs' skills for comedy and crazy humor sense are so good to be spoiled in just-romantic or comercial movies. However, I really enjoyed "Garden State", not so humorous flick.

Your turn. :)

I loved Garden State with a passion that is only matched with my love of View Askew! In fact one of my friends joked that these days the only thing I need to look for in a movie is a NJ setting and I'll probably love it! ;)

Anyway Zach Braff is just one of those incredibly likeable guys and I'd love to see him work with Kevin again (I say again because he did work with Kevin a few years back when Kevin directed those PSA's to reimnd people to register to vote and Zach appeared in one).

I would love to see Kevin direct/write an episode of Scrubs, it would be a dream come true... just imagine Kevin writing Dr. Cox. Awesome. But any collaberation between these two guys would be great.

Kev writing lines for Dr. Cox would be great, but they'd have to bleep out some of the more creative words in the script. One of my favorite things about Kevin's writing is his inventive cursing. I was actually disappointed that Jersey Girl was only PG-13, because I was hoping for J-lo to spew a filth-laddened rant that is totally against the image she portrays off-screen.

Scrubs gets so goofy at times that it really wouldn't be a stretch to have Jay & Silent Bob in an episode. Not the most creative idea, but I bet fans would bust a nut over it.

After reading that, this is what I pictured.

But seriously, I've learned these kind of meetings don't always lead to any collaboration. Kevin had met with Jack Black a while back before "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and so far no pay off for that.

I have a friend who works for a studio that as soon as he got to a level to take meetings, he made meetings with random Simpsons writers just because he could. Kevin might have just wanted to hang out and have lunch.

I have had lunch with FanGirl before and we are hoping to collaborate again soon.

Earl Dittman from Wireless Magazine said it was "Brilliant! A real-heart stopper! THE lunch to see in 2006!..."

Hahahaha, no stalking involved, I just happened to read Braff's blog and he was revealing the info. The entry was entitled as "Lunch with Silent Bob", so... no high detective skills after all. :)

As for future projects, well, think Braff is gonna get more attention in a near future, he's doing well and the kid's got potential.

This would be a total cream dream.
Garden state and all its time it took to create was awesome. Scrubs is the funniest stuff barr/ view askew.
I hope to see something of this creative witty duo soon!

I would be very excited if these two collaborated in some way. Like, in a reeeally goofy superhero spoof movie.
