There I certain movies that I love and own that I sometimes forget how good they really are. I put in The Ususal Suspects last night and it was almost like seeing it for the first time. I forgot how well written and well done in general that movie is.
Case in point, we find out from Kobashyshi later that it was Kevin Pollak's character who stole the truck which let them to the line up at the beginning of the movie. During the interviews, he is the only one that uses the term "cocksucker" naturally. A nice little subtle hint.
There are some really great lines in the movie as well. My favorite is still when they are sitting in the car deciding to do the job or not and Baldwin says "I heard on the radio it's raining in New York." It just completely tells you where his character is on the whole thing.
A side note: during the line up when they start laughing - if you notice the shot before and after - no one is laughing. That shot of them laughing was supposed to be an outtake, but it worked to show how ridiculous the whole thing was. What where they laughing at? Someone farted. Just goes to show no matter how old you are, farting is still funny.
Anway, I just thought I would share my renewal of love for this movie.
