If you could force/entice with money/entice with sex any band to get back together, who would it be? The only rule is that all the band member's have to still be living. No fair getting Sublime back together.

The three that I can't choose between are:

Rage Against the Machine
Soundgarden
Stone Temple Pilots

What say you?

None because I wouldn't want my favorite band(s) to be going through the motions just for the money/sex. There's enough of that already. :p

What say you?I'd say that is one awesome question. Last nite I would have said The Tastydactyls(vain? yes). But for the record(and don't hate, you music snobs), I'd go with something recent like Blink. If you've never seen Travis play, that's your sorry-ass luck. The dude doesn't take a backseat to any drummer I've ever seen, except Mr. Peart. Dig!!.

I'm terrible at knowing anything more than the song and the band's name. If I'm lucky I can name an album and maybe a member of the band. Let alone know if they broke up because a death or not. Would the Clash count or did someone die?

In case anyone says the Smiths, I saw this as the quote of the day on one of my RSS emails:

"I would rather eat my own testicles than re-form the Smiths, and that's saying something for a vegetarian" - Morrissey.

I've been expecting Aaron or Phit to say The Smiths...

Didn't Strummer die?

Anyway until a couple of years ago, i'd have said the Pixies, but of course that dream has come true. (Robbo - if you could send some guys to a 'therapist' and they would decide to reform of their own vallition, and play a free show some saturday on the riverfront, could you pick then)

I'd say from the 3 JJ listed, i'd rather see Soundgarden, if only because they have been apart longer.

Others include the original line up of Gn'R and Skid Row for me to get my 80's head bang on!

I thought about adding G n' R to my list, but Skid Row?

I thought about adding G n' R to my list, but Skid Row?Don't hate. If I leaned that way, I'd fuck Sebastian Bach in a heartbeat. http://www.sebastianbach.com/archives/stage.JPG (http://www.sebastianbach.com/)

Dude, Skid Row is just about the best of the second wave of late '80s hair bands. Both them and Cinderella were highly under-rated.

Yeah, loved me some bad-ass guitar and bass throws. Alot of the tunes kicked ass, too. Dave and I are older and don't give a crap what you think of our musical taste. :p

Dude, I can't think of any other bands I would like to see get back together more than those three. Especially, Rage Against the Machine.

Of course, I do have to agree with Robbo. I would rather see them get back together because they want to and not because they were induced to.

Wait, wait.....

Vito Bratta: a great guitarist. 'Little Fighter' is a great song, and who could ever forget "When the Children Cry"

Skid Row: 18 and life.

Funny nobody mentioned Tesla or Ratt yet...

OOH, and Extreme, Dream Theater, Frank Zappa and the Mothers....

Aaron ain't the Smiths head really, that's just me, but I wouldn't want them to get back together.
Any band that I've seen reformed after years apart have kinda sucked.
Instead, I want to someday travel back in time and see them play circa 1985....well I can dream can't I?!

And anyways, I'm going to see Morrissey play in Dublin in August, so it's all good.

I'd choose between these three:

The Replacements
Screaming Trees
The Tories

I would have said Mad Season if Layne could have ever gotten off the horse. But, anyway this gives me the chance to ask Robbo, and and Boss freaks out there, if they saw Mr. Springsteen on Good Morning America today. Good times.

It's fun to see one or two of the bands mentioned here did reform.

For me it would be:

The Chalets.
The original line-up of Snow Patrol so the bass player can come back and smack some sense into Gary Lightbody.
Rival Schools would have been another a couple of years ago but they reformed last year.

I'll wait for Antonio to say S Club 7

The main thing I remember about them is the time traveling episodes of their show.
