On the drive to work I heard Tim McGraw doing "When the Stars Go Blue". It was enough to make me want to go on a full-out Ryan Adams drug/drink binge that will culminate in falling off a stage somewhere, just to counteract the crapfest.

Good GOD it's horrible. How do you take this song and put a drum track behind it? How can you make a song this sad sound like it should have a line dance associated with it. YUCK! The U2/The Corrs version was at least a bit better than this.

Granted, I have never thought Tim McGraw was anything but a poster child for Nashville Pop Country, but at least he could stick to songs about drinking with his hillbilly friends on boats or something.

One thing about Tim McGraw that I think is hilarious is he's marketed as this man's man, rough and tumble guy that only Faith Hill can tame. But, he looks like he was dressed by Faith Hill's stylist.

But because they live in town and are country's current first couple, much like anything Reese Witherspoon does us Nashvillians have to pretend it's the greatest artistic expression that has ever occurred.

I have to wonder what you were doing listening to a station that would play such "music"

Listening for the traffic report during my commute. This station usually has the most coverage on the direction I drive.

Anyone else see Ryan on Austin City Limits this weekend?

I saw his performance a month ago on ACL. I am guessing it's a repeat?

Different PBS stations air the shows in different orders, or dates or something weird, for whatever reason.
